An Air Vent Assembly For An Air Conditioning System

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an air-vent assembly (10). The assembly (10) includes a primary chamber (2) and a secondary chamber (6) which define a first passage (1) and second passage (5) respectively along an inner circumference. The first passage receives air through a conduit. Also, the assembly includes a duct (13) for allowing the passage of air from the primary chamber to the second chamber. Further, a slit (9) is defined along each of a first surface (7 and 8) of the primary chamber and the secondary chamber. The air passing through the slit creates a suction in a space (4) defined between the primary chamber and the secondary chamber drawing air from the surroundings. The assembly directs the air in multiple directions at the same time without the need to divert the airflow using vanes or need of any moving parts to direct the flow of air.

Specification

1. An air-vent assembly (10), comprising:
a primary chamber (2) defining a first passage (1) along an inner circumference, wherein the first passage (1) receives air through a conduit (3);
a secondary chamber (6) defining a second passage (5) along an inner circumference;
a duct (13) fluidly connecting the primary chamber (2) and the secondary chamber (6), wherein the duct (13) is configured to allow passage of air from the first passage (1) of the primary chamber (2) to the second passage (5) of the secondary chamber (6); and
a slit (9) defined along a first surface (7) of each of the primary chamber (2) and the secondary chamber (6) to allow flow of air out of the primary chamber (2) and the secondary chamber (6),
wherein, air passing through the slit (9) creates a suction in a space defined between the primary chamber and the secondary chamber (6) to draw air from surroundings.
2. The air-vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the conduit (3) is configured to receive a portion of pressurized air from a blower of a HVAC system.
3. The air-vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the conduit (3) is fluidly connected to the blower for supplying a pressurized air to the primary chamber (2).
4. The air-vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the slit (9) directs the air to glide along the first surface (7) of the primary chamber (2) and first surface (8) of the secondary chamber (6).
5. The air-vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first surface (7) of the primary chamber (2) and the first surface of the (8) secondary chamber (6) are convex surfaces.
6. The air-vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein cross-section of the air-vent assembly (10) is cylindrical.

7. The air-vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein length of the duct defines a space (4) between the primary chamber (2) and the secondary chamber (6) to channelize the air.
8. The air vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the duct (13) is provisioned at a substantially central portion along longitudinal direction of the air-vent assembly (10).
9. The air-vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a fluidic path (14) is defined in the primary chamber (2) and the secondary chamber (6), wherein the fluidic path (14) guides the air from the first passage (1) of the primary chamber (2) to the duct (13) and from the duct (13) to the second passage (5) of the secondary chamber (6).
10. The air-vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 1, comprises at least one aperture (15) defined on a second surface (11) of the primary chamber (2) and a second surface (12) of the secondary chamber (6).
11. The air-vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 11, wherein the apertures (15) are defined on either sides of the duct (13) on each of second surface (11 and 12) of the primary chamber (2) and the secondary chamber (6).
12. A vehicle comprising an air-vent assembly (10) as claimed in claim 1.
