An Apparatus And A Method For Excess Material Trimming Process On A Band Saw Cutting Machine

Abstract: An apparatus (100) for holding boiler fittings during excess material trimming process on a band saw cutting machine, comprises a plurality of double grooved V blocks (9) are welded to at least one load supporting strips plate (10). A plurality of bolts (11) are attached to the base plate (12) and configured with the plurality of double grooved V block (9). A clamping pad (14) along with threaded stud (15) is used for clamping. At least one nut (17) is attached to a top end of the threaded stud (15). The at least one elbow (1) is fixed and moved to near a machine column (8) using machine table (3). A saw blade being selectively positionable to cut the at least one elbow (1) and excess material in the ends of the at least one elbow (1) is trimmed in a single pass by the band saw cutting machine.
