An Apparatus And A Method For The Formation Of Crease On The Already Formed Triangular Folds At The Ends Of A Tubular Fabric Piece

Abstract: Apparatus (3) and a method for the formation of crease on the already formed triangular folds at the ends of a tubular fabric piece for manufacturing of semifinished box bags or block-bottom bags is disclosed. It comprises at least one pressing roller (3a) and a plurality of support roller (3b) arranged tangentially to allow a tubular fabric cut piece (2) passes between them with pressure applied to 10 said cut piece (2), and a mechanical or electromechanical means to provide an adjustable gap between said rollers (3a, 3b), including guide rails, electrical motor, and drag chain mechanism. The characterising aspect of the invention is that the outer surface of said pressing roller (3a) having a special profile on a circumference to drive the cut piece (2) in the direction of motion of bag 15 formation and inner surface of the said pressing roller(3a) is provided with a hotpressing mechanism.
