Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus to overcome space and height constraints for lifting the equipment in submarine construction, yet effectively provide a solution to lifting problems. The apparatus comprises at least two parallel arms (1), and at least one joining arm (2) configured to join the parallel arms (1).
DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION:
[001] The present invention relates to tools required during submarine construction. The present invention particularly relates to an apparatus adapted for lifting equipment in a limited space and height during submarine construction.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
[002] Construction of submarines is a critical process which requires pre-planning and precise space management during execution. Many light as well as heavy components are needed to be lifted and arranged at required spots with appropriate spaces between them. While lifting arranging various components, care has to be taken such that already arranged components do not get disturbed. Sometimes due to limited available space owing to the design of the submarine, such lifting and placement activity becomes tricky.
[003] For example, an eye bolt is one of the important tools that are used for lifting and placing heavy equipment. The eye bolt is a bolt with a loop, adapted to secure ropes or cables for lifting the equipment. Due to space congestion, at times, barely two eyebolts lifting is possible, according to recurring experience of the present inventors. This may lead to unbalancing of the lifted equipment.
[004] The inventors herein proposes a novel apparatus that cancels out such problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
[005] The present invention provides an apparatus to overcome space and height constraints for lifting the equipment in submarine construction, yet effectively provide a solution to lifting problems.
[006] The present invention further provides a modified apparatus that does not need a rope or a cable for lifting equipment in submarine construction.
[007] The said apparatus comprises plurality of arms are arranged in a crisscross manner. The crisscross arrangement includes at least two arms arranged in parallel to each other, and at least one arm configured to join the parallel arms. In a more specific embodiment, the plurality of arms are arranged in H-shape.
[008] In an embodiment, the at least one joining arm is provided with a lifting eye bolt at its center.
[009] In an embodiment, the at least one joining arm is fastened at the at least two parallel arms at a peculiar point.

[011] The invention is described herein in detail with the help of figures appended at the end of the specification. The figures illustrate the preferred embodiment as well as other embodiments that define the scope of the present invention. However, it may be understood that the figures presented herein are intended to exemplify the scope of the invention only. The person skilled in art may note that by no means the figures limit the scope of the invention. Any variation in the drawings by any other person will be falling in the scope of the present invention.
[012] The present invention provides an apparatus to overcome space and height constraints for lifting the equipment in submarine construction, yet effectively provide a solution to lifting problems.
[013] The present invention further provides a modified apparatus that does not need a rope or a cable for lifting equipment in submarine construction.
[014] Figures 1-3 illustrate an embodiment of the present invention. Figure 1 illustrates the preferred embodiment of the invention. Figure 2 illustrates a top view, whereas Figure 3 illustrates a side view. Figure 2 as well Figure 3 represents exemplary embodiment with the dimensions of the apparatus.
[015] Referring to Figure 1, the said apparatus comprises plurality of arms arranged in a crisscross manner. The crisscross arrangement includes at least two arms (1) arranged in parallel to each other, and at least one arm (2) configured to join the parallel arms (1). In a more specific embodiment, the plurality of arms (1,2) are arranged in H-shape.
[016] In an embodiment, the at least one joining arm (2) is provided with a lifting eye bolt (4) at its center.
[017] In an embodiment, the at least one joining arm (2) is fastened at the at least two parallel arms (1) at a peculiar point (3).
[018] The said apparatus is made of mild steel material which is generally used to make metallic strips. In an embodiment, the said apparatus is capable of withstanding 600kg weight.
[019] Advantages of the invention:
• Due to the configuration of the said apparatus, ropes or chain or hangers to lift equipment are no more needed. The configuration of the said apparatus is stronger and reliable than rope/chain.
• Additional equipment safety against vibration and poor balance.
• Easy and safe operation compared to hanging rope
• The apparatus could be used when there are only 2 eye bolts out of 4 eyebolts.
,CLAIMS:1. An apparatus to overcome space and height constraints for lifting the equipment in submarine construction comprises at least two parallel arms (1), and at least one joining arm (2) configured to join the parallel arms (1).
2. The apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, wherein at least one joining arm (2) is fastened at the at least two parallel arms (1) at a point (3).
3. The apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, wherein at least one joining arm (2) is provided with a lifting eye bolt (4) at its center.
4. The apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the parallel arms (1) and the joining arm (2) is made of metallic material.
