Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus for providing a metallic spout to a carton. The apparatus has a spout forming assembly to form metallic spouts to be held to a carton. Said spout forming assembly has a feed means and a die assembly. Said feed means is adapted to supply a metallic strip to said die punch means for forming the spout. The carton punching assembly for allowing the introduction of the spout to a carton. Said punching assembly has a drive and a punch for rendering the carton receptive to the spout and a spout applicator is provided subsequent to said carton punching assembly and has a drive member and an applicator adapted to receive a drive from said drive member.
