Abstract: An apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo comprises: a chamber (101); a plurality of shafts (102); a chemical storage tank (103), said chemical storage tank (103) comprising: a first inlet valve (1031), a first safety relief valve (1032), and a pressure motor (1033); an inlet pipe (104) through which one or more chemicals or preservatives pass through from the chemical storage tank (103) to a plurality of pipes (105), said plurality of pipes (105) facilitating the disposition of a plurality of bamboo poles (106) for treatment; a motor (107); a vacuum pump (114); a pressure pump; a plurality of second inlet valves; an outlet valve (108); a heater (109), with a first end of the heater (109) being associated with a control panel (110), said control panel (110) being associated with a second end of the chamber (101) and said control panel (110) comprising: a plurality of switches, a plurality of indicators, a temperature controller, a rotation controller, and a display unit; a second safety relief valve (111); a silicon O-ring (115); and a cover (112). The disclosed apparatus (100) is easy to operate, easy to install, gives consistent results, saves time and money, consumes less power, and has low maintenance costs. There is, therefore, a need in the art for an apparatus for the treatment of bamboo that overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks and shortcomings.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
An apparatus for the treatment of bamboo is disclosed. The apparatus comprises: a chamber for the treatment of bamboo; a plurality of shafts that is disposed within the chamber at equally spaced distances, with each shaft being configured to rotate about a respective central axis; a chemical storage tank at a first end of the chamber, said chemical storage tank comprising: a first inlet valve, a first safety relief valve, and a pressure motor; an inlet pipe through which one or more chemicals or preservatives pass through from the chemical storage tank to a plurality of pipes that is disposed at a slightly tilted angle along an inner wall of the chamber, said slight tilt ranging between 1 degree and 10 degrees to facilitate the flow of the one or more chemicals or preservatives and to facilitate the collection of the unused chemicals or preservatives, and said plurality of pipes facilitating the disposition of a plurality of bamboo poles for treatment at an angle that is perpendicular to the plurality of shafts; a motor that is disposed below the chemical storage tank, said motor facilitating the rotation of the bamboo poles at the time of treatment; a vacuum pump that facilitates the pulling out of the one or more chemicals or preservatives; a pressure pump that maintains a pressure of up to 80 psi within the chamber; a plurality of second inlet valves that is associated with a plurality of respective
ends of the chamber, said plurality of second valves facilitating the feeding of the one or more chemicals or preservatives into the apparatus; an outlet valve that facilitates the draining of the apparatus; a heater that is disposed within the chamber that uniformly heats the one or more chemicals or preservatives to a temperature up to 150 degrees Celsius, with a first end of the heater being associated with a control panel, said control panel being associated with a second end of the chamber and said control panel comprising: a plurality of switches that facilitate the switching on or off of the apparatus, the heater, and the motor, a plurality of indicators that indicate whether the apparatus, the heater, and the motor are switched on or off, a temperature controller that senses and controls temperature within the apparatus, a rotation controller that senses and controls the speed of rotation of the plurality of shafts, and a display unit that displays the speed of rotation, temperature, and pressure; a second safety relief valve for the apparatus; a silicon O-ring that prevents the leakage of air and maintains appropriate vacuum pressure; and a cover that facilitates the closure of the chamber.
The disclosed apparatus is easy to operate, easy to install, gives consistent results, saves time and money, consumes less power, and has low maintenance costs.

An apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo is disclosed. As illustrated in Figure 1 and Figure 2, the apparatus (100) comprises: a chamber (101) for the treatment of bamboo; a plurality of shafts (102) that is disposed within the chamber (101) at equally spaced distances, with each shaft being configured to rotate about a respective central axis; a chemical storage tank (103) at a first end of the chamber (101), said chemical storage tank (103) comprising: a first inlet valve (1031), a first safety relief valve (1032), and a pressure motor (1033); an inlet pipe (104) through which one or more chemicals or preservatives pass through from the chemical storage tank (103) to a plurality of pipes (105) that is disposed at a slightly tilted angle along an inner wall (113) of the chamber (101), said slight tilt ranging between 1 degree and 10 degrees to facilitate the flow of the one or more chemicals or preservatives and to facilitate the collection of the unused chemicals or preservatives, and said plurality of pipes (105) facilitating the disposition of a plurality of bamboo poles (106) for treatment at an angle that is perpendicular to the plurality of shafts (102); a motor (107) that is disposed below the chemical storage tank (103), said motor (107) facilitating the rotation of the bamboo poles at the time of treatment; a vacuum pump (114) that facilitates the pulling out of the one or more chemicals or preservatives; a pressure pump (not shown) that maintains a pressure of up to 80 psi within the chamber (101); a plurality of second inlet valves (not shown) that is associated with a plurality of respective ends of the chamber (101), said plurality of second valves facilitating the feeding of the one or more chemicals or preservatives into the apparatus (100); an outlet valve (108) that facilitates the draining of the apparatus (100); a heater (109) that is disposed within the chamber (101) that uniformly heats the one or more chemicals or preservatives to a temperature up to 150 degrees Celsius, with a first end of the heater (109) being associated with a control panel (110), said control panel (110) being associated with a second end of the chamber (101) and said control panel (110) comprising: a plurality of switches that facilitate the switching on or off of the apparatus (100), the heater (109), and the motor (107), a plurality of indicators that indicate whether the apparatus (100), the heater (109), and the motor (107) are switched on or off, a temperature controller that senses and controls temperature within the apparatus (100), a rotation controller that senses and controls the speed of rotation of the plurality of shafts (102), and a display unit that displays the speed of rotation, temperature,
and pressure; a second safety relief valve (111) for the apparatus (100); a silicon O-ring (115) that prevents the leakage of air and maintains appropriate vacuum pressure; and a cover (112) that facilitates the closure of the chamber (101).
In an embodiment of the present disclosure, between four and eight shafts are disposed within the chamber (101).
In another embodiment of the present disclosure, the inner wall (113) of the chamber (101) is made of stainless steel and is covered by insulating materials
In yet another embodiment of the present disclosure, the one or more chemicals or preservatives comprises: Borax and Boric Acid; Nitrogenous compounds; mixture of Nitrogen and Phosphorous containing compounds; Neem Seed Oil; Oil-based fire, termite, and fungal resistance chemicals; Water-based fire, termite, and fungal resistance chemicals; and Natural Essential Oils.
In yet another embodiment of the present disclosure, the chamber (101) is spherical or square in shape.
In yet another embodiment of the present disclosure, the plurality of shafts (102) is made of stainless steel.
In yet another embodiment of the present disclosure, the motor (107) rotates at a speed between 1 RPM and 100 RPM.
In yet another embodiment of the present disclosure, the plurality of pipes (105) is a plurality of silicone tubes.
The method of operation of the apparatus (100) shall now be disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: disposing a plurality of untreated bamboo poles (106) in the plurality of pipes (105); applying pressure to the chemical storage tank (103), which results in the pressure being distributed in parallel to the plurality of pipes (105), causing the one or more chemicals or preservatives to pass through the inlet pipe (104) to the plurality of pipes (105); impregnation of the plurality of bamboo poles (106) with the one or more chemicals or preservatives; percolation of the one or more chemicals or
preservatives through the plurality of bamboo poles (106) to an end of the bamboo poles that is opposite to an end which is disposed in the plurality of pipes (105), said end of the bamboo poles that is opposite to the end which is disposed in the plurality of pipes (105) being associated with a second plurality of pipes (116), said second plurality of pipes (116) being associated with the vacuum pump (114); applying a desired temperature simultaneously to the chamber (101) through the heater (109) to allow the plurality of bamboo poles (106) to react with the one or more chemicals or preservatives; separation of the plurality of bamboo poles (106) from the plurality of pipes (105); removal of the plurality of bamboo poles (106) from the chamber (101); and stacking the plurality of bamboo poles (106) vertically for collecting the extra one or more chemicals or preservatives, which can be reused in the next treatment cycle.
The disclosed apparatus (100) is easy to operate, easy to install, gives consistent results, saves time and money, consumes less power, and has low maintenance costs.

We Claim:
An apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo, comprising: a chamber (101) for the treatment of bamboo; a plurality of shafts (102) that is disposed within the chamber (101) at equally spaced distances, with each shaft being configured to rotate about a respective central axis; a chemical storage tank (103) at a first end of the chamber (101), said chemical storage tank (103) comprising: a first inlet valve (1031), a first safety relief valve (1032), and a pressure motor (1033); an inlet pipe (104) through which one or more chemicals or preservatives pass through from the chemical storage tank (103) to a plurality of pipes (105) that is disposed at a slightly tilted angle along an inner wall (113) of the chamber (101), said slight tilt ranging between 1 degree and 10 degrees to facilitate the flow of the one or more chemicals or preservatives and to facilitate the collection of the unused chemicals or preservatives, and said plurality of pipes (105) facilitating the disposition of a plurality of bamboo poles (106) for treatment at an angle that is perpendicular to the plurality of shafts (102); a motor (107) that is disposed below the chemical storage tank (103), said motor (107) facilitating the rotation of the bamboo poles at the time of treatment; a vacuum pump (114) that facilitates the pulling out of the one or more chemicals or preservatives; a pressure pump that maintains a pressure of up to 80 psi within the chamber (101); a plurality of second (114) inlet valves that is associated with a plurality of respective ends of the chamber (101), said plurality of second valves facilitating the feeding of the one or more chemicals or preservatives into the apparatus (100); an outlet valve (108) that facilitates the draining of the apparatus (100); a heater (109) that is disposed within the chamber (101) that uniformly heats the one or more chemicals or preservatives to a temperature up to 150 degrees Celsius, with a first end of the heater (109) being associated with a control panel (110), said control panel (110) being associated with a second end of the chamber (101) and said control panel (110) comprising: a plurality of switches that facilitate the switching on or off of the apparatus (100), the heater (109), and the motor (107), a plurality of indicators that indicate whether the apparatus (100), the heater (109), and the motor (107) are switched on or off, a temperature controller that senses and controls temperature within the apparatus (100), a rotation controller that senses and controls the speed of rotation of the plurality of shafts
(102), and a display unit that displays the speed of rotation, temperature, and pressure; a second safety relief valve (111) for the apparatus (100); a silicon O-ring (115) that prevents the leakage of air and maintains appropriate vacuum pressure; and a cover (112) that facilitates the closure of the chamber (101).
2. An apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo according to claim 1, wherein between four and eight shafts are disposed within the chamber (101).
3. An apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo according to claim 1, wherein the inner wall (113) of the chamber (101) is made of stainless steel and is covered by insulating materials

An apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo according to claim 1, wherein the one or more chemicals or preservatives comprises: Borax and Boric Acid; Nitrogenous compounds; mixture of Nitrogen and Phosphorous containing compounds; Neem Seed Oil; Oil-based fire, termite, and fungal resistance chemicals; Water-based fire, termite, and fungal resistance chemicals; and Natural Essential Oils.
5. An apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo according to claim 1, wherein the chamber (101) is spherical or square in shape.
6. An apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of shafts (102) is made of stainless steel.
7. An apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo according to claim 1, wherein the motor (107) rotates at a speed between 1 RPM and 100 RPM.
8. An apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of pipes (105) is a plurality of silicone tubes.
9. A method of operation of an apparatus (100) for the treatment of bamboo according to claim 1, comprising the steps of:
disposing a plurality of untreated bamboo poles (106) in the plurality of pipes (105);
applying pressure to the chemical storage tank (103), which results in the pressure being distributed in parallel to the plurality of pipes (105), causing the one or more chemicals or preservatives to pass through the inlet pipe (104) to the plurality of pipes (105);
impregnation of the plurality of bamboo poles (106) with the one or more chemicals or preservatives;
percolation of the one or more chemicals or preservatives through the plurality of bamboo poles (106) to an end of the bamboo poles that is opposite to an end which is disposed in the plurality of pipes (105), said end of the bamboo poles that is opposite to the end which is disposed in the plurality of pipes (105) being associated with a second plurality of pipes (116), said second plurality of pipes (116) being associated with the vacuum pump (114);
applying a desired temperature simultaneously to the chamber (101) through the heater (109) to allow the plurality of bamboo poles (106) to react with the one or more chemicals or preservatives;
separation of the plurality of bamboo poles (106) from the plurality of pipes (105);
removal of the plurality of bamboo poles (106) from the chamber (101); and
stacking the plurality of bamboo poles (106) vertically for collecting the extra one or more chemicals or preservatives, which can be reused in the next treatment cycle.
