Abstract: The present invention provides an arrangement for a roof top PV solar module with mounting of seasonal tilt structure to facilitate growing of plants utilizing wasted water after module washing. The arrangement comprising an ultra violet resistant plastic tub (6) which is disposed under a solar PV panel (1). A layer of soil is placed in the tub (6). The tub has a slope (7) from front side to rear side. A partition is disposed in the soil acting as a stiffener (9). Two front legs and two rear legs are fixed to the tub. Front legs are hinged with a hinge arms (2). Rear legs are fixed to a slotted angles (3). The PV panel is placed over the hinge arms (2) and slotted angles (3). Three holes are provided on the rear leg (4) for seasonal tilt of the solar photovoltaic panel with the help of slotted angles (3) creating required seasonal position of the solar PV panel (1) when wasted water sprayed over the panel for module washing falls down dripping into the tub and moves to the other side by the slope of the soil to facilitate growing of the plants utilizing wasted water of solar module washing.
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to an arrangement for a roof top solar photovoltaic
module with mounting of seasonal tilt structure to facilitate growing of plants utilizing
wasted water after module washing.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Water is being used in plenty for a PV module set up on the top of a roof a
house or big building for cleaning off the dust. This water after use becomes a wastage.
The present invention has disclosed an arrangement for utilization of this wasted water
by growing plants and creating a nursery beneath the PV module.
Prior art of roof top PV module mounting structure consists of Aluminium or
galvanized steel section held down against wind uplift and overturning forces by
concrete weights.
There is no way to utilize the water after being used for module cleaning.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
Therefore, it is an object of the invention to propose an arrangement for a roof
top PV solar module with mounting of seasonal tilt structure to facilitate growing of
plants utilizing wasted water after module washing, which is capable of using the
wasted water to grow plants or to create nursery.
Another object of the invention is to propose an arrangement for a roof top PV
solar module with mounting of seasonal tilt structure to facilitate growing of plants
utilizing wasted water after module washing, which is capable of providing seasonal tilt
of structure to increase annual electric power generation from PV module.
A further object of the invention is to propose an arrangement for a roof top PV
solar module with mounting of seasonal tilt structure to facilitate growing of plants
utilizing wasted water after module washing, which results in cooling of the PV cells by
water evaporation and transpiration from plants and thus increase power generation.
Another nobel object of the invention is to popularize the use of solar PV
modules in households, where there is sunlight available even on a small patch of 2m
by 1m. Compact micro inverters are available for as low as 300W. The housewife can
be trained to use a single or twin solar PV modules much on the lines of solar cooker.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE
INVENTION
An ultra violet (UV) resistant plastic tub (6) is placed under a solar PV panel (1).
The tub has soil at the bottom and partition acting as stiffener (9). The stiffener has a
cut out (10) at the bottom for water to pass towards rear side one Front leg (5) and
one rear leg (4) are fixed to the side of the tub (6). The front leg (5) is hinged with a
hinged arm (2). The hinged arm (2) is fixed to the solar PV panel (1). The rear leg is
fixed with a slotted angle (3). The slotted angle (3) and the hinge arm carries the solar
PV panel (1). The tub bottom has soil throughout the length of tub to facilitate growing
of plants. The tub is given a slope (7) from front to rear. There are three holes (11) on
rear leg (4) as shown in Fig.4. With the help of slotted angle the panel is placed at
required angle to suit seasonal requirement. Water sprayed over the solar panel for
module washing falls down (8) in the tub (6) below the panel (1). The tub bottom
provided with slope allows the falling water slowly making way through the soil to the
rear side.
ADVANTAGES OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
1. Water used for module washing is not wasted but utilized to irrigate plants
grown below the PV panel.
2. Cooling effect due to evaporation of water and transpiration from plants
increases the power generation from the PV panel.
3. The seasonal tilt arrangement increases the annual power generation.
4. The solar panel protects the small delicate plants against harsh sunlight.
5. The hinge/tilt arrangement provided easy access to plants for adding necessary
manures, weeding etc. With this provision the plants can be exposed to morning
sunlight if required for a few hours when solar PV power generation is low.
6. With a green netted cloth suitably tied from PV panel the arrangement can be
made as a mini nursery to grow tomato & chilly sapling.
WE CLAIM

structure to facilitate growing of plants utilizing wasted water after module washing, the
said arrangement comprising;
an ultra violet resistant plastic tub (6) disposed under a solar PV panel (1);
a layer of soil at the bottom of the tub (6); the said tub slopes from front to rear;
a partition (9) acting as stiffener disposed over the soil in the tub (6); the said
stiffener having a cut out for allowing water to pass through from front side to rear
side;
one front leg (5) fixed to the tub (6) and hinged with a hinge arm (2);
one rear leg (4) fixed to the tub (6) and fixed to a slotted angle (3); the solar PV
panel disposed over the hinge arm (2) and slotted angle (3);
Characterized in that,
three holes are provided on the rear leg (4) for seasonal tilt with the help of
slotted angle (3) creating required seasonal position of the solar PV panel (1) when
water sprayed over the panel for module washing falls down (8) dripping into the tub
and moves to the other side by the slope of the soil to facilitate growing of the plants
utilizing wasted water of solar module washing.
