The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.

Field of Invention
The present invention relates telecommunication equipments. More particularly  the invention relates to an arrangement for EOW (Engineering order wire).

Background of the Invention
Telecommunication equipment essentially consists of electronic gadgets such as printed circuit boards  connectors  a ventilation fan and the like. Each of these components is rigidly mounted to an internal frame or chassis. Several such equipments are generally referred to as telecommunication equipment systems. At times an independent telecommunication equipment forming part of the system is often referred to as the node.
Within such nodes there are several telecommunication equipments commonly referred to as engineering order wire (EOW) which performs the servicing functions of the respective nodes. As this EOW performs auxiliary functions of telecommunication equipment  it is comparatively smaller in size. The increasing complexity within communication systems demands more additional features in telecommunication equipments and as a consequence  auxiliary telecom equipments like EOW requires more servicing features like rectification of mal-functional node using a computer connected to EOW through a USB port while establishing telephone connectivity with the service personnel thorough EOW.
To have these features on the EOW means that considerable real estate on the front panel of the EOW has to be increased without increasing the physical size of the EOW.
In view of the above  it is required to provide an arrangement for EOW that overcomes the short comings associated with prior arts.
Summary of the Invention
Accordingly  the present invention provides an arrangement for insertion of additional mezzanine card  the arrangement comprising at least two mezzanine card placed one over the other; at least one connector each for the mezzanine card accommodated within the available space  a latch handle and ESD socket provided as a combined arrangement thereby occupying less space; wherein the arrangement enables unobstructed insertion of cable as the Latch handle and ESD socket occupies less space.

Brief description of the drawings
Reference will be made to embodiments of the invention  examples of which may be illustrated in the accompanying figures. These figures are intended to be illustrative  not limiting. Although the invention is generally described in the context of these embodiments  it should be understood that it is not intended to limit the scope of the invention to these particular embodiments.
Fig. 1 shows front view of the latch handle and ESD socket assembly in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention.

Fig. 2a shows an isometric front view of the latch handle and ESD socket assembly in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention.

Fig. 2b shows as isometric rear view of the latch handle and ESD socket assembly in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention.

Description of the Invention
The following description with reference to the accompanying drawings is provided to assist in a comprehensive understanding of exemplary embodiments of the invention as defined by the claims and their equivalents. It includes various specific details to assist in that understanding but these are to be regarded as merely exemplary. Accordingly  those of ordinary skill in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications of the embodiments described herein can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention. In addition  descriptions of well-known functions and constructions are omitted for clarity and conciseness.

The terms and words used in the following description and claims are not limited to the bibliographical meanings  but  are merely used by the inventor to enable a clear and consistent understanding of the invention. Accordingly  it should be apparent to those skilled in the art that the following description of exemplary embodiments of the present invention are provided for illustration purpose only and not for the purpose of limiting the invention as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.

It is to be understood that the singular forms “a ” “an ” and “the” include plural referents unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.

Various embodiments of the present invention provide an arrangement for insertion of additional mezzanine card  the arrangement comprising at least two mezzanine card placed one over the other; at least one connector each for the mezzanine card accommodated within the available space; a latch handle and ESD socket provided as a combined arrangement thereby occupying less space; wherein the arrangement enables unobstructed insertion of cable as the Latch handle and ESD socket occupies less space.

Figs. 1  2a and 2b show an arrangement 100 for insertion of additional mezzanine card in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. The arrangement includes at least two mezzanine cards 110 (110a  110b) placed one over the other; at least one connector each for the mezzanine card 110 accommodated within the available space; a latch handle 120 and ESD socket 130 provided as a combined arrangement.

In an embodiment the latch 120 and ESD socket 130 occupies less space on EOW (Engineering order wire) as they are in a combined arrangement as shown in Fig. 1.

In an embodiment  the arrangement 100 enables unobstructed insertion of cable (not shown) as the Latch handle 120 and ESD socket 130 occupies less space.

In an embodiment of the invention  the cable (not shown) is a RJ45 cable.
In an embodiment  the arrangement 100 enables easy accommodation of an additional mezzanine card (110b) without altering the form factor of existing Fan tray.

In an embodiment  the latch handle 120 has a central hole 120a acting as replacement for ESD socket 130.

In an embodiment  the latch handle 120 is at extreme right of fan tray enabling RJ45 connector cable insertion & pull out without any interference to the latch handle 120.

In an advantageous aspect the arrangement of the present invention requires lesser space  reduces the BOM (Bill of Material) as a separate ESD socket is not required. Further  the arrangement can be used wherever a handle is required without providing any extra space for ESD socket.

While the foregoing is directed to embodiments of the present invention  other and further embodiments of the invention may be devised without departing from the basic scope thereof  and the scope thereof is determined by the claims that follow.

We Claim

1. An arrangement for insertion of additional mezzanine card  the arrangement comprising:
at least two mezzanine card placed one over the other;
at least one connector each for the mezzanine card accommodated within the available space;
a latch handle and ESD socket provided as a combined arrangement thereby occupying less space;
wherein the arrangement enables unobstructed insertion of cable as the Latch handle and ESD socket occupies less space.

2. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 wherein the cable is a RJ45 cable.

3. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 wherein arrangement enables easy accommodation of an additional mezzanine card without altering the form factor of existing Fan tray.

4. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 wherein the latch handle has a central hole acting as replacement for ESD socket.

5. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 wherein the latch handle is at extreme right of fan tray enabling RJ45 connector cable insertion & pull out without any interference to the latch handle.

6. The front panel substantially as described in the drawings and specification.
