The arrangement (100) comprises a passage configured on the chassis frame (104) and a hollow sleeve (106). The passage is configured to facilitate threading of the fuel pipes (102) therethrough. The sleeve (106) is configured to be snap-fitted into the passage. The sleeve (106) is configured to protect the fuel pipes (102) from the sharp edges of the passage.
DESC:FIELD
The present disclosure relates to the field of fuel pipe mounting arrangements of vehicles.
BACKGROUND
The background information herein below relates to the present disclosure but is not necessarily prior art.
Typically, fuel pipes are routed from fuel tank to an engine to direct the supply of fuel from the tank to the engine. In transversely mounted engines, fuel pipes are fitted to the engine and is routed via a wheel house area and threaded through a passage provided in the chassis and then fitted to the fuel tank. However, during routing of the fuel pipes via the passage, the sharp edges of the passage may cut and damage the fuel pipes.
There is, therefore, felt a need of an arrangement for threading fuel pipes through a vehicle chassis frame that will alleviate the above mentioned drawbacks.
OBJECTS
Some of the objects of the present disclosure, which at least one embodiment herein satisfies, are as follows:
An object of the present disclosure is to provide an arrangement for threading fuel pipes through a vehicle chassis frame.
Another object of the present disclosure is to provide an arrangement for threading fuel pipes through a vehicle chassis frame that is easy to assemble.
Still another object of the present disclosure is to provide an arrangement for threading fuel pipes through a vehicle chassis frame that protects the fuel pipes from damage.
Other objects and advantages of the present disclosure will be more apparent from the following description, which is not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure.
SUMMARY
The present disclosure envisages an arrangement for threading fuel pipes through a vehicle chassis frame. The arrangement comprises a passage configured on the chassis frame and a hollow sleeve. The passage is configured to facilitate threading of the fuel pipes therethrough. The sleeve is configured to be snap-fitted into the passage. The sleeve is configured to protect the fuel pipes from the sharp edges of the passage.
In an embodiment, the passage is an annular passage having an inlet and an outlet.
In another embodiment, the cross-section of the passage is greater than the combined cross-sections of the fuel pipes.
In yet another embodiment the arrangement includes a plurality of locking means detachably attached to the chassis frame to secure the fuel pipes to the chassis frame.
In still another embodiment, the sleeve is of plastic.

As used in the present disclosure, the forms "a,” "an," and "the" may be intended to include the plural forms as well, unless the context clearly suggests otherwise. The terms "comprises," "comprising," “including,” and “having,” are open ended transitional phrases and therefore specify the presence of stated features, elements, modules, units and/or components, but do not forbid the presence or addition of one or more other features, elements, components, and/or groups thereof.
When an element is referred to as being "mounted on," “engaged to,” "connected to," or "coupled to" another element, it may be directly on, engaged, connected or coupled to the other element. As used herein, the term "and/or" includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed elements.
The terms first, second, third, etc., should not be construed to limit the scope of the present disclosure as the aforementioned terms may be only used to distinguish one element, component, region, layer or section from another component, region, layer or section. Terms such as first, second, third etc., when used herein do not imply a specific sequence or order unless clearly suggested by the present disclosure.
Terms such as “inner,” “outer,” "beneath," "below," "lower," "above," "upper," and the like, may be used in the present disclosure to describe relationships between different elements as depicted from the figures.
Fuel pipes (102) of a vehicle having a transversely fitted engine, are generally passed through a passage (not specifically labelled in figures) configured on the chassis to make up for ground clearance of the vehicle. However, sharp edges of the passage may cut and damage the walls of the fuel pipes (102). Hence, it is required that the fuel pipes (102) be protected from the sharp edges of the passage.
An arrangement (100), of the present disclosure, for threading fuel pipes (102) through a vehicle chassis frame (104) will now be described in detail with respect to Figure 1 though Figure 4.
Figure 1 illustrates an isometric view of the arrangement. Figure 2 illustrates an isometric view of the fuel pipes threaded through a sleeve of the arrangement of Figure 1. Figure 3 illustrates a front view of the arrangement of Figure 1. Figure 4 illustrates an exploded view of the arrangement depicting locking means of Figure 1.
In an embodiment, the passage is an annular passage having an inlet and an outlet. The cross-section of the passage is greater than the combined cross-sections of the fuel pipes (102). In another embodiment, the passage has a polygonal configuration.
The arrangement (100) includes a plurality of locking means (108) detachably attached to the chassis frame (104). The locking means (108) are configured to secure the fuel pipes (102) to the chassis frame (104).
