Abstract: The present invention provides an arrangement for physical segregation/isolation between bus bar(s) of switchboard. The arrangement comprises: a insulating support(s) for providing isolation between the bus bars and a non conducting metallic member(s); a insulating phase barrier(s) for providing isolation between phase(s) of the bus bar(s). The insulating phase barrier(s) is accommodates in the insulating support for providing physical segregation between the busbars of the switchboard, therefore reducing short circuit fault(s) between a phase(s) or between the phase(s) and earth of the busbar (s) of the switchboard.

DESC:TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to achieve fault free busbar system in switchboard and a method for versatile phase separation thereof. More particularly, the invention relates to provide an arrangement of physical segregation between Bus bars of Switchboard (Power control centre and Motor control centre). The invention is concerned about avoiding any short circuit fault between phases or between phases and earthing. This innovative design enables to announce the Busbar system as ‘Fault free system’.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Now day’s customers are well aware of cost of loss of the human being and the capital investment he incurred in an electrical installation due to short circuit or any other such type of faults. Safe operation of electrical installations and switchgear products are given prime impotence. This arrangement will always ensure that no fault will take place in BUSBARS system. Even if it happens fault will get restricted to individual phase only.
Busbar system is the Heart of Switchboard. The prime function of it is to receive power from Incoming unit or from external source and distribute it throughout the Switchboard. Current carrying capacity of it ranges from 800A to 7000A. Also it has to withstand mechanical stresses generated due to short circuit fault ranging from 10kA to 100kA.
In Industrial application Switchboards are designed for 3 phase + Neutral system. As per respective product standard it is mandatory to have sufficient air clearance and creep-age between these phases with each other and with other non conducting metallic components.
Existing system of Busbars are designed adhering to the directives given in respective product standard. Sufficient air clearance and creep-age distance has to be kept between live potentials such as phase, Neutral and Earth. Though standard asks for air clearance there may be possibilities that foreign objects such as hardware, small metallic object will bridge this air clearance results in to serious fault in panel or Switchboard which may cause damage to human being or the surrounding equipments installed within that premises.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
A basic object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages/drawbacks of the known art.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an arrangement of physical segregation between Bus bars of Switchboard.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an arrangement which avoid short circuit fault between phases or between phases and earthing.
These and other advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent from the following detailed description read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The following presents a simplified summary of the invention in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the invention. This summary is not an extensive overview of the present invention. It is not intended to identify the key/critical elements of the invention or to delineate the scope of the invention. Its sole purpose is to present some concept of the invention in a simplified form as a prelude to a more detailed description of the invention presented later.
In an aspect of the present invention, there is provided an arrangement for physical segregation/isolation between bus bar(s) of switchboard, said arrangement comprising:
an insulating support(s) for providing isolation between said bus bar(s) and a non conducting metallic member(s);
an insulating phase barrier(s) for providing isolation between phase(s) of said bus bar(s);
wherein said insulating phase barrier(s) is accommodated in said insulating support for providing physical segregation between the busbars of the switchboard, therefore reducing short circuit fault(s) between a phase(s) or between said phase(s)and earth of said busbar (s) of the switchboard.
Other aspects, advantages, and salient features of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from the following detailed description, which, taken in conjunction with the annexed drawings, discloses exemplary embodiments of the invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
The following drawings are illustrative of particular examples for enabling methods of the present invention, are descriptive of some of the methods, and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention. The drawings are not to scale (unless so stated) and are intended for use in conjunction with the explanations in the following detailed description.

For example the dimensions of some of the elements in the figure may be exaggerated relative to other elements to help to improve understanding of various exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure.
Throughout the drawings, it should be noted that like reference numerals are used to depict the same or similar elements, features and structures.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The following description with reference to the accompanying drawings is provided to assist in a comprehensive understanding of exemplary embodiments of the invention as defined by the claims and their equivalents. It includes various specific details to assist in that understanding but these are to be regarded as merely exemplary. Accordingly, those of ordinary skill in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications of the embodiments described herein can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention. In addition, descriptions of well-known functions and constructions are omitted for clarity and conciseness.
The terms and words used in the following description and claims are not limited to the bibliographical meanings, but, are merely used by the inventor to enable a clear and consistent understanding of the invention. Accordingly, it should be apparent to those skilled in the art that the following description of exemplary embodiments of the present invention are provided for illustration purpose only and not for the purpose of limiting the invention as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
It is to be understood that the singular forms “a,” “an,” and “the” include plural referents unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.
By the term “substantially” it is meant that the recited characteristic, parameter, or value need not be achieved exactly, but that deviations or variations, including for example, tolerances, measurement error, measurement accuracy limitations and other factors known to those of skill in the art, may occur in amounts that do not preclude the effect the characteristic was intended to provide.
Accordingly, present invention provides an arrangement for physical segregation/isolation between bus bar(s) of switchboard.
Bus bars: As shown in figure 1, these are the rectangular shape conductors made of Copper or Aluminum. Sizes of these conductors depend on the continuous current carrying capacity and ability to withstand thermal heat produced during short circuit fault for short duration.
Insulating support: In figure 2 and 3 showing an insulating support for busbars in switchboard. Insulating supports are made of Thermo set material (Sheet moulding component (SMC)) with fiber glass content. These are having very high compressive as well as tensile strength. The prime functions of these supports are;
· To provide insulation between live conductors (N-R-Y-B) and also with non conducting metallic members.
· To hold the Busbars in its defined position.
· To protect the Busbars from any physical damage during transportation and handling of switchboard.
· To protect Busbars form Mechanical stresses induced during short circuit fault.
Phase barriers: The Figure 4.1 &4.2 showing an insulating phase barrier. This Insulating phase barriers made up of FR grade Thermoplastic material (Nylon 66). It takes care of all the properties required by an insulating material when used in electrical application.
As mentioned earlier there are certain directives mentioned in the standard to maintain the clearance and creep-age within live conductors and also within live conductors and noncurrent carrying metallic parts. The primary object of the present invention is to provide physical segregation between bus bars (Fig-1). Phase barriers (Fig.-4.1 & 4.2) are provided between phases throughout the length of the bus bars. This will ensure that phases cannot see each other in any case. Phase barriers are designed in such way that it gets fitted on the inner side of Insulating supports (Fig.-2 & 3). Refer Figures 4, 5 & 6 for detailed arrangement.
An Insulating supports (Figs.-2 & 3) are assembled on front and rear side of Busbars (Figs.-1). These supports are fixed with each other such that busbars gets sandwiched between them. Square shape slots are provided on inner side of these supports to accommodate phase barriers (Fig.-4). These barriers are designed in such way that it will get fitted on Busbar insulating support. Snap fit design of this barrier eliminates hardware required for fixing it. This Phase barrier is design for various widths of bus bars. (e.g – 50, 80, 100mm) ,CLAIMS:1. An arrangement for physical segregation between bus bar(s) of the switchboard, said arrangement comprising:
an insulating support(s) for providing isolation between said bus bar(s) and a non conducting metallic member(s);
an insulating phase barrier(s) for providing isolation between phase(s) of said bus bar(s);
wherein said insulating phase barrier(s) is accommodated in said insulating support for providing physical segregation between the busbars of the switchboard, therefore reducing short circuit fault(s) between a phase(s) or between said phase(s)and earth of said busbar (s) of the switchboard.

2. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein said insulating phase barrier (s) is made up of thermoplastic material.

3. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein said insulating phase barrier (s) is designed for different width of said bus bar(s).

4. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein said insulating phase barrier (s) are positioned between phase(s ) of said busbars throughout the length of said busbars for providing isolation between said phase(s) of busbars.

5. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein said insulating support (s) is made up of thermo set material.

6. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein said insulating support (s) is assembled in front and rear side of said bus bar(s) of the switchboard.

7. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein said insulating support (s) having slot(s) on inner side for accommodating said insulating phase barrier(s).
