Abstract: The invention relates to an described herein is an arrangement for lifting stator assembly (22) for hydro generator using a spreader beam assembly (24) and a trunnion assembly (18) comprises at least one rectangular plate (1,6) and a plurality of joint plates (2,5) welded together to form an octagon assembly. A plurality of ribs (3, 4) welded to an inner side of octagon assembly at its center position to provide stiffness. A plurality of stiffeners (8) are welded to the spreader beam arm assembly (26) at regular intervals. An end plate (9) is welded perpendicular to one end of straight length of the at least one rectangular plate (6). The trunnion assembly (18) consists of the two plate (13). The spreader beam assembly (24) controls the load of the stator assembly (22) vertically downward, the trunnion assembly (18) provides the proper alignment and connection between the spreader beam assembly (24) and the stator assembly (22).
