BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS

Further objects and advantages of this invention will be more apparent from the ensuing description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and wherein:
Fig. 1-14 shows the present invention.
DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS;
The spare tire is positioned in one half of the luggage room of a hatch back passenger vehicle so as to maintain atleast 40~50% of the uninterrupted usable space of the total available boot space available otherwise, in one of the above said configurations. The spare tire can be positioned at an angle to the horizontal and at a height from the toroidal tank, so as not to foul with any of the surrounding parts.
Mounting of Spare Tire;
1. Spare tire is mounted on a specially designed bracket which is assembled to the rear floor by means of welding or using nuts and bolts or by any other alternate means of fastening.
2. Provision of a weld stud/bolt or nut assembled on the specially designed bracket and to bracket by welding or any other means of fastening.
3. Using a special designed holder to hold the spare tire onto the bracket. This specially designed holder is mounted onto the stud welded on the bracket for spare tire mounting.
4. Besides holding the spare tire using specially designed holder, as mentioned above, the spare tire is also supported on the plate or pipe or support mechanisms of any kind, assembled to the specially designed bracket assembly designed for mounting the spare tire, using bolts or any other means for fastening. This is for transferring the reaction forces partially through the support and reducing the load/stresses on the spare tire mounting bolt/nut on the specially designed bracket assy.
Prevention of Rattling of Spare Tire after being mounted on bracket;
Using EPDM/EVA/Rubber Cushion pads or any other means positioned between the spare tire and mounting bracket, to prevent

ratting of the spare tire mounted on the specially designed spare tire mounting bracket.
Prevention of Rotation tendency of the Spare Tire when mounted on the bracket:
A pin has been provided to arrest the rotation of spare tire, when it is mounted on the spare tire mounting bracket, using holder, to be incorporated.
Enhancement of Vehicle Aesthetics;
Covering the spare tire, mounted on so placed with cover so that the vehicle aesthetics is not hampered.
Design Feature 1 (Tire Inflation);
The Bracket is designed in such a way than it can take care of any of the Tire inflation condition. Both over inflation and complete deflated conditions are taken care of by this.
A floating nut concept has been introduced wherein the floating nut, which can move up and down to adjust the position of the mounting screw/bolt is placed inside the cage shaped smaller bracket (Nut casing). When the tire is over inflated the nut moves up to the top most location and allows the tire to be tightened without any problem. Similarly, in case of punctured tire, the nut moves to the down most position to take care of deflated condition.
Design Feature 2 (Tire Tim Support)
The above mentioned nut casing is welded onto the circular bracket which will evenly support the spare tire rim in the upright condition. Rigid and complete support is required to counter the inertia generated due to the forward and rearward motions during the vehicle movement.
The bracket is also designed in a way that, the Rim will be supported in all the inflating conditions of the tire. This Circular Plate is CO2 welded onto the supporting pipe.
Design Feature 3 (Spare Tire Resting);
The bracket comp spare tire is designed in such a way that, the spare tire weight is balanced on the pipe structure (part of bracket comp, spare tire) and thereby reduces the shear load on the tire mounting bolt, which is caused by the tire weight. This also eases the fitment of the spare tire

onto the bracket by providing initial resting for the spare tire. Use of pipe structure for spare tire mount is a new concept.
The design of the spare tire has been done in such a way that, the CG of the spare tire is supported within the structure of the bracket, ensuing better stability for the spare tire during dynamic loading conditions of vehicle.
Design Feature 4 (Basel;
The base of the structure is designed in a manner so as to counter all the possible load combinations (acceleration/braking/cornering) which are transmitted to the vehicle body during vehicle dynamic conditions.
1. The base is mounted onto the vehicle floor with the help of a plurality of mounting (Nut & Bolt arrangement).
2. Rust Proof: The entire base is lifted up from the body except the area of mounting and load bearing area. This ensures better rust performance of vehicle due to the reasons explained below:
Micro-cracks are generated in the floor paint layer, due to the rubbing of spare tire bracket and floor panel, which can lead to rust initiation on the parts. This can be avoided by minimizing the contact area of bracket to the floor panel. This concept has been introduced in the Bracket design.
3. Bead structure: Loads generated due to vehicle movement are not only longitudinal and transverse but also in multiple directions. Beads structure was designed in such a way that the part can withstand the multi-directional complicated loads generated during the vehicle motion.
Design Feature 5 (Additional features);
The spare tire rack is also added with other special features.
Additional brackets are welded in the bracket structure to provide a support for luggage board. Hence, part of the luggage weight will be

bored by the spare tire rack component. This concept of luggage weight bearing through the spare tire rack brackets is also innovative and new.
Design Feature 1;
The bracket is designed in a fashion so as to keep the spare tire in titled Horizontal position. This design gives the opportunity to maximize the luggage space in the luggage compartment.
The spare tire is positioned at an angle to the ground (horizontal) and at the height from the toroidal tank. This gives additional advantage of using the space above the LPG tank.
This kind of layout and bracket design itself is innovative and does not exist in any of the care world wide.
Design Feature 2;
A pin is provided in the bracket to arrest rotation of spare tire when mounted on the bracket. This pin is located though the tire hole used for mounting tire on the wheel hub,
Use of anti-rotation pin for spare tire is one of the most low-cost solution for the achieving this feature and was not found to be is use in other cars.
Design Feature 3;
A stud is welded onto the specially design bracket for ease of assembly of spare tire onto the bracket as per this layout. The stud is located centrally. This is mainly used for guiding the spare tire easily both at assembly line and by the customer.
Design Feature 4 (Integrated Jack Bracket);
The bracket is designed in a way so as to house the Jack of the vehicle. This eliminates any special bracket for holding the jack in the vehicle thereby reducing the overall and number of parts of vehicle.
Design Feature 5 (support during initial location of spare tire by customer onto the bracket);

Two specially designed brackets are attached to the main bracket by welding so as to provide support to the spare tire placed in loose condition onto the bracket. This prevents tire from falling off the bracket before being clamped by the holder onto the bracket.
Design Feature 6 (Scratch resistant);
The plate of the bracket, on which the tire rest is covered by special pad comp (softer pad on the plate side and the harder felt on the tire side). This arrangement not only takes care of the scratches on the tire rim, but also takes care of any surface flatness inaccuracies of the plate of the brackets.
Also the end of the side brackets which helps to locate the spare tire in its position is covered with fabrics. This feature is added to ensure that scratches do not generate in the wheel rim at the time of placing the tire into the bracket.
The salient features of the present invention
• Availability of at least 40~50% of the available boot space for luggage in dual fuel passenger cars.
• Ease of spare tire insertion and withdrawal from the assembly bracket during replacement of puncture tire.
• Uninterrupted driver rear view from IRVM and hence retained safety of the occupants.
• No deterioration in the vehicular performance during rear impact of the passenger car as the layout is very stable.
