Abstract: This invention relates to an invention relates to a cooking pan comprising of a pan body having a cooking portion, a closed bottom, a continuous peripheral side wall, and an open top, A partition ring with an hangingly extending cross partition wall releasably can be attached along the top edge of the side wall of the pan body. This extending partition wall divides the inner cooking portion of the pan into plurality of compartments. The pan may have a lid and a handle
FIELD OF INVENTION :
The invention relates to cooking pans which typically have interior for cooking.
PRIOR ART:
Prior art suffers from under utilisation of the cooking pans due to variant needs of the cooking at different times. In a typical cooking pan, single item is cooked irrespective of the size of the cooking pan.
The inventor is aware of few prior art such as
But none of these serve the demand of user, of changing the volume of cooking pan or allowing multiple-items cooking simultaneously in the same pan.
OBJECTS OF INVENTION :
The first object is to design a novel detachable and removable separator which will allow multiple dishes simultaneously to be cooked in a single cooking vessel like a fry pan.
The second object is to design a separator assemble with a slot on both the sides to avoid orientation difficulty during the process of cooking.
The third object is to design a glass lid that can be used on the cooking pan while cooking with the separator attached to the cooking pan.
The fourth object is to design a separator which can be attached to any standard frying pan as an add-on accessory and without demanding any change in design of the existing conventional frying pan.
The last but not least object is to achieve two separate cooking processes to occur in a single fry pan with the removable separator attached onto the cooking pan.
DESCRIPTION WITH REFERENCE TO DRAWINGS :
DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION :
A novel detachable separator has been designed to allow multiple dishes to be cooked in a single cooking vessel like a fry pan. This novel idea not only allows users to benefit from savings- of time where they can cook more than one dish together, it will save time for the consumer since a single vessel like fry pan is used.; Also another major advantage arid benefit to the user is they can save energy as the vessel will be heated anyway irrespective of the quantity of dish being made, so by cooking multiple dishes simultaneously the energy can be significantly saved. The next advantage is that the separator is so designed that the vessel, if it has any glass lid, can be placed on the separator allowing the user to seamlessly use the glass lid as well. This will also help to make multiple smaller quantity dishes, given a pan size , also burners used can be minimised , hence saving space, time and energy.
The novel idea is based on the fact that users, might need to cook little quantity or more number of dishes at a given point of time. Instead of making a vessel with compartments, the invention allows the user to convert a single vessel like fry pan into a multiple compartment vessel, thus allowing them to cook multiple dishes. The current invention is shown for two compartments and is applicable for more than two categories, using the same principle. A glass lid or another lid can be used on top of this separator.
The invention consists of a ring to rest on the frame of vessel (example shown is fry pan but is applicable to all types of vessels).
The middle has a separator dividing the vessel into two compartments. There is a smart locator cum anti-rotation lock that will orient the separator ring to be placed in one direction. Also the separator is oriented smartly along the handle to maximise convenience to the users. Once placed, the separator creates the compartments, and cooking can be done individually in the compartments createcj. The glass lid also can be placed on the separator, allowing maximum convenience to the user. The material of the separator can be aluminium or stainless steel with multiple finish possibilities such as non-stick or other coatings.
The figure 1.0 illustrates the exploded assembly of the separator for frying pan .
WORKING PRINCIPLE OF THE INVENTION :
The objective of the present invention is to do two individual cooking simultaneously in a single frying pan without intermixing, and when completely cooked, the individual'servings can be dispensed one at a time from the pan while the remaining servings are retained in the pan for further cooking and subsequent dispensing both the cooked items at the same time,
We have designed the separator in a such a way that the separator can be removed and used for the single frying and can be easily assembled for two or more individual Compartment cooking, one more advantage is that the top ring has been Redesigned for using the glass lid for two individual cooking as well as normal cooking.
In the. present invention, which is embodied in a removable separator and glass lid for the pan , enables the simultaneous cooking in the pan of several individual servings and also enables the delivery onto a plate or the like of equal size individual, servings, one at a time, after complete cooking, while retaining remaining servings in the pan in a separated state until complete cooking thereof is accomplished, after which the remaining equal size servings are dispensed from the pan at a time.
The figure 2.0 illustrates the Frying pan with and without separator.
The figure 3.0 illustrates fitment of glass lid and vessel with the separator,
The working is very simple to use, As we have to keep the separator inside the vessel and slot area to be kept on handle side to avoid orientation, apd then can be used for cooking, after cooking this can be removed easily.
In one of the embodiments, the invention discloses a novel separatqr for a cooking pan. The conventional pan body has a cooking portion, a closed bottom, a continuos peripheral side wall, and an open top. The separator is a partition ring with a hangingly extending cross partition wall releasably attachable aloqg the top edge of the side wall of the pan body, The said extending partition wall qf thq separator when fitted into the cooking pan divides the inner cooking portion pf the pan into plurality of compartments. The number of compartments created i$ based on the design of the partition wall. With this partition wall, multiple number of compartments can be created within the cooking pan.
In second embodiment, the cooking pan may include a lid and preferably it shall be transparent.
In the most preferred embodiment, the said partition shall divide the inner cooking portion of the pan into two compartments wherein the partition wall is a straight linear plain dividing the interior of the pan into two areas.
In another embodiment, the cooking pan may include a handle for easy handling of the cooking pan which may be hot during the process of cooking.
In another embodiment, the partition wall may be arranged in preferred orientation with respect to handle of the cooking pan to ensure easy usage by the user.
The disclosure has been made as known to inventors and with specific examples and illustrations for the purpose of proper disclosure and better understanding of the invention. There can be other variations and modifications that will be obvious to skilled persons in the art. All of such variations and modifications are within the scope of invention.
