FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to an auto electronic milk tester for measurement
of Fat & Processing of Milk Collection Data.
BACKGROUND/PRIOR ART OF INVENTION
Commercial value of milk is based on Milk Fat and SNF.
The measurement of FAT and SNF% in liquid milk is essentially required
because of the emphasis on improvement of milk quality i.e. milk with
higher protein and mineral contents. Milk quality can be measured by
measuring FAT and SNF contents in the milk. Higher the SNF, the better
is the milk quality as it implies to high protein and mineral contents.
Equipment such as Electronic Milk Testers are known in art for
measurement of milk FAT. Further, SNF is measured manually in Milk
Collection Centres using conventional Lactometer method.
The Electronic Milk Testers are manually operated and require three
handle operations per measurement. Its operation is tiring as
considerable energy & time is consumed in the complete measurement
process.

Further, the milk collection data such as Name of Milk Producer, milk
Fat & SNF, Milk quantity, rate etc. are maintained manually in registers.
Thus, the possibility of manipulation/ human error is unavoidable.
OBJECTS OF THB INVENTION
The primary object of the present invention is to provide an auto
electronic milk tester for measurement of FAT contents in milk which is
simple, easy to operate, economical and reliable.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an auto electronic
milk tester for accepting SNF contents in milk automatically as well as
manually which is affordable, rugged and ideally suitable for use at milk
collection centers, village co-operative societies, milk societies etc for
milk analysis which could not afford costly equipment for the
application.
Further object of the present invention is to provide an auto electronic
milk tester for measurement of FAT, accepting SNF content, milk
quantity, rate of payment, member identification number etc and
processing these data electronically for preparation of various reports
such as milk collection reports, payment reports etc. These data can be
uploaded on to a Smart Card in electronic form for further processing.
Thus eliminating possibility of manipulation/ bonafide error.
At the outset of the description that follows, it is to be understood that
the ensuing description only illustrates a particular form of this

invention. However, such a particular form is only an exemplary
embodiment and is not intended to be taken restrictively to imply any
limitation on the scope of the present invention.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
The Auto Electronic Milk Tester for measurement of Fat is having a
cabinet comprising of Milk inlet, Mix intake, Display, Keyboard, Smart
card interface and control panel. The milk sample is placed at the milk
intake, which automatically senses the sample and sucks the required
volume.
When the mix beaker is placed under the milk intake, the sample under
measurement comes out mixed with diluent in predefined ratio. The
mixed sample, when placed below mix intake and push button is
pressed, is drawn into thermo block through the homogeniser
automatically for measurement. A signal from the source passes throug~
the film made by the sample on cuvette glass. The signal allowed to pass
through the film is detected at the sensor and converted into digital
signal by microprocessor representative of FAT% in milk sample.
The Auto Electronic Milk Tester receives data such as Milk SNF I CLR
and volume from the instruments attached to it. These data are
processed in the data processor electronically so as to generate desired
reports related to milk collection & payment. Provision has also been
made for printing of these reports. The smart card medium is used for
loading of rate chart into the machine, which is used for payment
calculation purposes. After completion of shift, the shift data are ready to

be transported to central location through smart card interface for
further processing. The cabinet houses a Power Supply, Dispenser unit
and Motor control.
The instrument is ideally suited for milk collection centers, village cooperative
societies, milk societies etc with large number of samples as it
is easy to operate, accurate, rugged, affordable and eliminates
maintenance of record manually.

WE CLAIM:
1. A smart auto electronic milk tester for measurement of FAT and
processing of milk collection data comprising of a cabinet
provided with milk inlet, milk intake, display, keyboard, smart
card interface and control panel connected to each other
wherein mixed sample of milk and diluent gets drawn into
thermo block through a homogenizer for measurement.
2. A smart auto electronic milk tester as claimed in claim 1
wherein the mixed sample collected from the milk inlet is
positioned below said mix intake, which is drawn into said
thermo block upon pressing a push button of said keypad.
3. A smart auto electronic milk tester as claimed in claim 1 or 2
comprising of a microprocessor for conversion of signal into
digital signal representing %ge of FAT in milk sample.
4. A smart auto electronic milk tester as claimed in any of the
preceding claims wherein said smart card unit Is used for
loading of rate chart into the machine, which is used for
payment calculation.
5. A smart auto electronic milk tester as claimed in any of the
preceding claims wherein said cabinet houses a power supply,
dispenser unit and motor control.

described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
