Specification

This invention relates to an Auxiliary Ground PTO with improved differential housing in agricultural tractor for ground PTO application.
BACKGROUND/PRIOR ART OF THE INVENTION
The conventional rear axle assembly of agricultural tractor is as shown in fig. 1 indicating bevel pinion shaft (1) connected to crown wheel (2), wherein the conventional PTO provides selection of either of two PTO options out of the following options:-
1. Single speed PTO -Only one of 540/540E/1000 rpm
2. Dual speed PTO -Selection of Two standard PTO rpm options
3. Ground speed PTO -PTO RPM in relation to rear wheel RPM
4. Multi Speed PTO -PTO RPM in relations to gearbox ratios
5. Reverse PTO ' -PTO RPM with reverse direction of standard rotation
Conventional Rear Axle Assembly of agricultural tractor includes power transmission components like crown wheel gearSs pinion shaft, PTO shaft. These components transmit engine power from gearbox to FfO and rear wheels of agricultural tractor.
The conventional layout of Rear Axle is as shown in fig. 2 showing pinion shaft (1), crown wheel gear (2) and standard PTO (3).
The prior art discussed hereinabove imposes a constraint to use maximum of three tjrpes of PTO in the gearbox including ground PTO.
Another drawback associated with prior art is that the ground PTO provision can not be provided in the four wheeled agriculture tractor.

Further, for using ground PTO at standard PTO (which runs at a speed higher or lower than that of the tractor), gear ratio is required to be provided and changed in the gear box.
Hence, the present invention has been introduced to have a provision of ground PTO, which is independent of gearbox driveline.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
Primary object of the present invention is to provide an Auxiliary Grotind PTO with improved differential housing in agricultural tractor for ground PTO application which overcomes disadvantages associated with the prior art.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an Auxiliary Ground Fro with improved differential housing in agricultural tractor for ground PTO application which is efficient and reliable.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide an Auxiliary Ground PTO with improved differential housing in agricultural tractor for ground PTO application which is simple in construction.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an Auxiliary Ground PTO with improved differential housing in agricultural tractor for ground PTO application with four wheeled tractor.
Further object of the present invention is to piovide an Auxiliaiy Ground PTO with improved differential housing in agricultural tractor for ground PTO application which allows to use maximum of Four types of PTO in the gear box.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
According to this invention, there is provided an Auxiliary Ground PTO with improved differential housing in agricultural tractor for ground PTO, application comprising a standard PTO and a pinion shaft assembly wherein an auxiliary pinion shaft assembly is mounted at the rear end of transmission, which provides ground PTO irrespective of tractor drive line.

Further objects and advantages of this invention will be more apparent from the ensuing description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings of exem^plary embodiments of invention and wherein:
Fig. 1 shows: Conventional back end assembly of agricultural tractor.
Fig. 2 shows: Layout of rear axle of agricultural tractor known in the
prior art.
Fig. 3 shows: Rear axle with auxiliary PTO unit according to present
invention.
Fig. 4 shows: Auxiliary PTO of present invention.
DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
The instant inverition discloses an Auxiliary Ground PTO with improved differential housing and is particularly directed to an auxiliary assembly in agricultural tractor for the application of ground PTO, that can address the issues of currently available agricultural tractor regarding ground PTO application.
As it is known, engine is connected to differential housing through gear box. Differential housing gives driving power to both rear wheels and is having provision of mounting for hitch and power take off (PTO).
The present invention focuses on differential housing, which has been devised to achieve objectives of the invention. So that, it can serve the required purpose.
Now, reference may be made to fig. 3 and 4, in which an auxiliary pinion shaft assembly is provided. As illustrated in the figure, the differential housing (H) has a pinion shaft assembly comprising a pinion shaft (1) assembled to multiple bearings (2) and retainer (3) in a housing (4), which is provided in connection with crown wheel (5).

Similarly another such bevel pinion shaft assembly (S) is placed diametrically opposite in connection with the crown wheel. This gives rise location for another PTO, which runs according to the speed of the tractor. So that ground PTO can be attached without changing the gear ratio in the gear box unlike prior art.
Said assembly can be mounted with a plurality of mounting bolts without requiring any special tooling and fixture.
Thus, the present invention can accommodate ground PTO as an auxiliary add-on feature for use when required.
Further, the additional gear ratio required for the ground PTO can be eliminated fromi the standard gearbox, thereby resulting in saving of space and reduction in housing length.
In case of the known ground PTO, additional gear pair, before the bevel Pinion shaft assembly is required to maintain the relation between rear wheel rpm and PTO rpm. Thus, with the provision of ground PTO, the four wheeled front axle can't be provided with the tractor.
However, with the present invention, this disadvantage is overcome and tractor with ground PTO as well as 4x4 configuration can be developed.
With the novel auxiliary PTO, the full time ground PTO speeds are available irrespective of standard PTO options in gear driveline. The PTO of present invention can be provided with standard spline size with no new spline size, making it suitable for applications in practice.
The standard power take off (PTO) (6) already available in the differential housing of tractor can be employed to establish connectivity with any two of the following four options:

1. Single speed PTO -Only one of 540/540E/ 1000 rpm
2. Dual speed PTO -Selection of Two standard PTO rpm options
3. Multi Speed PTO -PTO RPM in relations to gearbox ratios
4. Reverse PTO -PTO RPM with reverse direction of standard rotation
Thus, with the help, of the present invention Four types of PTO in the gear box can be utilized with ease.
Features of Invention
1. No new Tooling required:
- The current bevel pinion shaft retainer assembly (bevel pinion
shaft, Taper roller bearings, mounting housing) can be used as
such.
2. Flexibility in PTO output location as per requirement
- The PTO output location can be provided as per the implement or
application requirement. With the present invention, the angular
location between -90° to +90°with respect to engine centerline is
also possible.
3. Higher Reliability
- Bevel gear in place of conventional spur/helical gear system, which
results in higher contact ratio and less noise.
4. Robust Design:
- Taper roller bearing in place of ball bearing- This results in more
load carrying capacity & suitability for axial loads. Further, this
ensures suitability to severe shock loading during ground PTO
applications.

5. Vehicle with both ground PTO as well as 4 wheel drive front axle
6. Compact and convenient provision for ground PTO requirement for respective agriculture implements.

It is to be noted that the present invention is susceptible to modifications, adaptations and changes by those skilled in the art. Such variant embodiments employing the concepts and features of this invention are intended to be within the scope of the present invention, which is further set forth under the following claims:-

1. An Auxiliary Ground PTO with improved differential housing in
1 agricultural tractor for ground PTO application comprising a standard
PTO and a pinion shaft assembly wherein an auxiliary (pinion shaft
assembly is mounted at the rear end of transmission, which provides
ground PTO irrespective of tractor drive line.
An Auxiliary Ground PTO with improved differential housing in
agricultural tractor for ground 'PTO application' as claimed in claim 1
wherein the auxiliary pinion shaft assembly comprising a pinion shaft
assembled to multiple bearings and retainer in a housing, which is
connected to crown wheel in a diametrically opposite direction to the
pinion shaft assembly.
3. An Auxiliary Ground PTO with improved differential,. housing in
agricultural tractor,for ground PTO application as claimed in claim 1
or 2, wherein said auxiliary pinion shaft assembly constitutes a
location for ground PTO which runs according to the ground speed of
the tractor.
4. An Auxiliary Ground PTO with improved differential housing in
agricultural tractor for ground PTO application as claimed in any of
the preceding claims is associated with the advantageous features
such as herein described.
5. An Auxiliary Ground PTO with improved differential housing in
agricultural tractor for ground PTO application substantially as herein
described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
