Specification

This invention relates to an Edge device with alcohol sensing for Machine operator safety using Internet of things. This device automatically detects the person that has consumed alcohol and sense the level of alcohol. Optionally, the information can be accessed by using a mobile application as well as a web application.
Background of the Invention
Alcohol is the most often consumed substance among people worldwide. Alcohol use is linked to an increased risk of illnesses and accidents. Social workers must remember that alcohol and alcohol issues have an impact on people's health, safety, and well-being.
W09212416A1 discloses an alcohol sensing method and device is adapted to prevent the operation of equipment, such as an automobile by a user in an alcohol-impaired state. The alcohol content of an initial breath sample is compared to a reference value to determine whether the alcohol level is below the acceptable maximum (8). The breath sample is also compared to a reference value representing non-alcohol containing breath to ensure that a true breath sample is being offered (22). If both tests are passed, the equipment

is activated (24). After activation breaths are requested on a periodic basis to ensure that the alcohol level remains at an acceptable level (26, 38, 42). An alarm (70) is activated if either an invalid or a sample having an excessive alcohol level is sensed (36).
US10488399B2 discloses a replaceable alcohol sensor module for use with a breathalyzer. The alcohol sensor module requiring calibration can be removed from the body of the breathalyzer and replaced with a new alcohol sensor module. The alcohol sensor module has at least an alcohol sensor and circuitry mounted on a PCB that removable connects the replaceable alcohol sensor module to the breathalyzer. The circuitry transmits the signal and/or electrical current generated by the alcohol sensor to a processing unit of the breathalyzer for processing.
US9480431B2 discloses various embodiments of the present references are related to monitoring physical characteristics of a monitored individual including, but not limited to, alcohol consumption by the monitored individual.
JP2007271628A discloses the alcohol sensing system comprises: an alcohol sensor unit 4 having an alcohol gas sensor for sensing the alcohol concentration of breathing of a person to be inspected; an alcohol sensor unit holder section 8 with the alcohol sensor unit 4 attached; a system switch 27 for sensing whether the alcohol sensor unit 4 is attached to the alcohol sensor unit holder section 8; and an ozone generator 28 mounted on the alcohol sensor

unit holder section 8, for sterilizing the alcohol sensor unit 4, in which the ozone generator 28 operates when the system switch 27 senses that the alcohol sensor unit 4 is mounted on the alcohol sensor unit holder section 8.
None of the prior art indicate above either alone or in combination with one another disclose what the present invention has disclosed. Present invention will prevent accidents and other issues that are caused by alcohol consumption. This machine will automatically detect the person that has consumed alcohol and sense the level of alcohol. The information can be accessed by using a mobile application as well as a web application.
