An Electric Driver Of A Circuit Breaker

Abstract: An electronic driver of a circuit breaker comprising of a tripping and a closing circuit and operated by an operating mechanism comprising of a pair of electromagnetic coils arranged in anti parallel configuration. Each circuit comprises of a series connected capacitor and a first NO (normally open) contact combination connected to one terminal of the electromagnetic coils and a MOSFET connected to the other terminal of the electromagnetic coil. Each of the circuit further comprises of a free wheeling loop comprising of a combination of series connected second NO (normally open) contact and a free wheeling diode connected to the respective terminals of the electromagnetic coil and parallel to the respective first NO (normally open) contacts.
