An Electromagnetic Projectile Launching Device

Abstract: “AN ELECTROMAGNETIC PROJECTILE LAUNCHING DEVICE” ABSTRACT The present disclosure discloses an electromagnetic projectile launching device (100). The device (100)includes a conduit (2) and a first coil (3) disposed around an outer surface of the conduit (2).Further, a second coil (4) is disposed within the conduit (2) and concentric to an inner surface of the conduit (2). The second coil (4) is disposed at a predetermined offset to the first coil (3). A projectile (5) is disposed between the inner surface of the conduit (2) and the second coil (4). A power circuit is coupled to each of the first coil (3) and the second coil (4). The power circuit energizes the first coil (3) and the second coil (4) to induce an electromagnetic force for launching the projectile (5). The configuration of the device reduces an armature capture effect experienced by the projectile (5). Figs. 1 & 2 are the representative figures.
