An Electronic System For Writing Using Conventional Accessories

Abstract: The present invention provides a system for communicating a handwritten content through an electronic media in a real time comprising an imaging unit, a transceiver unit, and a computing unit. The transceiver unit is connected to the imaging unit and communicates a processed data to-and-from the imaging unit. The computing unit communicates bidirectionally with the transceiver unit. The present invention provides a portable system to communicate a handwritten content to a recipient in a real time. This eases a mode of communication as a user is able to write a content faster and in a better manner through a conventional mode like a pen and paper and by using the present system, the user is able to communicate the written content in a captured handwriting as well as the content converted into a computer readable font.

Description:A) TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] The present invention generally relates to a communication system and particularly relates to an electronic system for converting and communicating a conventionally written document through an electronic media.
B) BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
[002] The present invention relates generally to systems, and methods, converting business information presented on one form of medium into another medium form. Specifically, the present invention relates to conversion of commercial transaction information from the medium of documents written on paper to the medium of structured electronic messages. Digital image processing assists in converting the paper to the electronic messages. Independent computer systems exchange these messages extracted from the paper medium. For instance, the present invention relates to an independent computer system for serving requests for initiation of particular activities related to commerce otherwise engaged in commercial transactions among enterprises. The system converts paper documents to validated, structured electronic messages through use of image and data processing systems. Computerized networks facilitate exchange of information to provide an efficient mechanism of servicing the requests.
[003] The environment of the invention relates to the commercial environment characterized by a disparity of use and adoption of computerized information within enterprises; and, many small enterprises and a few large enterprises. The larger enterprises typically rely on computerized information and the smaller enterprises typically rely on paper records and documents. The enterprises respond to an existence

of strong incentives to adopt electronic systems to enhance business communication among all enterprises. One such conventional electronic system is a direct computer-to-computer communication known as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
[004] However, the conventional prior arts are limited in providing a real time recording of a written information and converting them to a computer readable format. The most common practice is to scan the whole document and using optical character recognition, the scanned document is converted into the computer readable format.
[005] In the view of foregoing, there is a need for a system to record and convert a handwritten content into a computer readable format in a real time. Also, there is a need for a system to communicate a recorded handwritten content in a real time through electronic media.
[006] The above-mentioned shortcomings, disadvantages and problems are addressed herein, as detailed below.
C) OBJECT OF INVENTION
[007] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a system to record and convert a handwritten content into a computer readable format in a real time.
[008] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a system to communicate a recorded handwritten content in a real time through electronic media.
[009] These and other objects and advantages of the embodiments herein will become readily apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

D) SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0010] The various embodiments of the present invention provide a system for communicating a handwritten content through an electronic media in a real time. The system comprises an imaging unit, a transceiver unit, and a computing unit. The imaging unit comprises a camera module, a processing module, an alert module, a servo motor and a gyroscope. The transceiver unit is connected to the imaging unit and communicates a processed data to-and-from the imaging unit. The computing unit communicates bidirectionally with the transceiver unit.
[0011] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the camera module, the processing module, the alert module, the servo motor and the gyroscope are mounted on a pen.
[0012] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the gyroscope communicates with the processing module. The processing module further controls the servo motor.
[0013] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the servo motor is connected to the camera. The gyroscope sends an angular movement data of the pen to the processing unit. The processing unit control a movement of the camera for maintaining a line of sight with the handwritten content through the servo motor.
[0014] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the camera unit is activated through the processing unit after detecting a minimal angular shift from a zero-horizontal angle.
[0015] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the processing unit processes the handwritten content data and transmits the data to the computing unit

for a converting the data into a computer readable content, communicates the computer readable content to a selected receiver.

F) DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[0022] In the following detailed description, a reference is made to the accompanying drawings that form a part hereof, and in which the specific embodiments that may be practiced is shown by way of illustration. The embodiments are described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the embodiments and it is to be understood that the logical, mechanical and other changes may be made without departing from the scope of the embodiments. The following detailed description is therefore not to be taken in a limiting sense.
[0023] FIG. 1 illustrates a block diagram of a system for communicating a handwritten content through an electronic media, according to one embodiment of the present invention. With respect to FIG. 1, the system comprises an imaging unit 101, a transceiver unit 102, and a computing unit 103. The imaging unit 101 comprises a camera module 101a, a processing module 101b, an alert module 101c, a servo motor 101d and a gyroscope 101e. The transceiver unit 102 is connected to the imaging unit 101 and communicates a processed data to-and-from the imaging unit. The computing unit 103 communicates bidirectionally with the transceiver unit 102. The camera module 101a is connected to a servo-motor 101d and both are installed on an upper portion of the pen 104. The servo motor 101d is activated through the processing unit 101b after the processing unit detects an angular

movement of more than 30 degrees from a resting or ground position. The camera module 101a captures an image of a written content and forwards the content written through the said to the processing unit 101b. The processing unit 101b sends the data to the computing unit 103 through the transceiver unit 102 to converting the image data to a computer readable data and a presentable format is created from the computer readable data. The presentable format can be in a writeable format such MS-word, PDF, wordpad etc. The presentable format is then communicated to a receiver through an electronic mail as an attachment or a messaging platform as message.
[0024] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the camera module works in a tracking mode. The tracking mode comprises following a written content along with the real time movement of the pen. This allows a user to identify a content or an alphabet or a digit that is not comprehended by the processing unit and the computing unit.
[0025] FIG. 2 illustrates a flow diagram of a method to communicate the handwritten content through the electronic media on a sender end, according to one embodiment of the present invention. With respect to FIG. 2, the imaging unit is activated automatically through the gyroscope or through a button provided on the pen (201). The captured image of the handwritten content or a video stream of the handwritten content is communicated in a real time to the computing unit. The computing unit is a personal computer, a laptop, a Smartphone or a computing pad. The computing unit performs an optical character recognition to either present the content in same handwriting or as a computer aided text. The user then selects a destination for the

content such as messaging app, discussion forum or an electronic mail (202 & 203). For communicating the content, a pop-up notification of the letter or a message is shown on a display of the computing unit. The content is then attached as a document of the selected destination and a recipient destination is entered (204). The content is then sent to the recipient by clicking a send button (205).
[0026] On receiving the content to the recipient node, an alert module creates an alert comprising at least a buzzer, a vibrator or a pulsating light (301-303). The alert module is activated by the computing unit on the receiver end as shown in FIG. 3. The user is able to view the transmitted content by clicking a button provided on the pen. The content can be viewed over a display provided by the computing unit or a projected screen provided by the pen.
G) ADVANTAGES OF INVENTION
[0027] The present invention provides a portable system to communicate a handwritten content to a recipient in a real time. This eases a mode of communication as a user is able to write a content faster and in a better manner through a conventional mode like a pen and paper and by using the present system, the user is able to communicate the written content in a captured handwriting as well as the content converted into a computer readable font.
[0028] It is to be understood that the phraseology or terminology employed herein is for the purpose of description and not of limitation. Therefore, while the embodiments herein have been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those

skilled in the art will recognize that the embodiments herein can be practiced with modification within the spirit and scope of the claims.

Claims:1. A system for communicating a handwritten content through an electronic media in a real time, the system comprises:
an imaging unit, wherein the imaging unit comprises a camera module, a processing module, an alert module, a servo motor and a gyroscope;
a transceiver unit, wherein the transceiver unit is connected to the imaging unit and communicates a processed data to-and-from the imaging unit; and
a computing unit, wherein the computing unit communicates bidirectionally with the transceiver unit.
2. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the camera module, the processing module, the alert module, the servo motor and the gyroscope are mounted on a pen.
3. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the camera module, the processing module, the alert module, the servo motor and the gyroscope are mounted on a pen.
4. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the gyroscope communicates with the processing module, wherein the processing module further controls the servo motor.

The system as claimed in claim 3, wherein the servo motor is connected to the camera, wherein the gyroscope sends an angular movement data of the pen to the processing unit, wherein the processing unit control a movement of the camera for maintaining a line of sight with the handwritten content through the servo motor.

6. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the camera unit is activated through the processing unit after detecting a minimal angular shift from a zero-horizontal angle.
7. The system claimed in claim 1, wherein the processing unit processes the handwritten content data and transmits the data to the computing unit for a converting the data into a computer readable content, communicates the computer readable content to a selected receiver.
