DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION:
The present embodiment generally relates to conveyor belt systems; and more particularly, to conveyor belt cleaner/cleaning assemblies.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
This section is intended only to provide background information pertaining to the similar field of the present disclosure, and may be used only to enhance the understanding of the present disclosure and not as admissions of prior art.
Traditionally, from years, movable carts have been used for transferring of goods and materials from one location to another. Particularly, transferring of goods loaded on carts, wagons, and the like from one location (maybe initial or intermediate) to another (maybe intermediate or final). However, there were certain limitations with the application of carts such as heavy bulk loads required multiple carts, continuous manual monitoring that are susceptible to risks at high temperate zones such as furnaces, warehouses, and the like.
In order to overcome the above mentioned limitations conveyor belt systems were introduced to transfer goods from one location to another. Furthermore, conventional conveyor belt systems include a pair of pulleys (one is driver and other is driven) coupled with a conveyor belt. Moreover, when in operation, goods and materials are loaded on the conveyor belt that revolves on the pair of pulleys, and thereby transfers the loaded goods and materials from one location to another. Particularly, in warehouses the raw materials are loaded on the conveyor belts that may include moisture-soaked metal ores, mixtures of metal and non-metal ores, and the like.
However, a substantial amount of raw materials sticks or adheres on the surface of the conveyor belt, and disrupts smooth functioning of the pulleys. Furthermore, the adhered raw material results in wear and tear of the conveyor belt. Conventionally, belt cleaners are used to clean and/or remove the adhered raw material disposed on the surface of the conveyor belt. However, the conventional belt cleaners wear off easily leading to frequent reinstallation that exceeds the input cost. Conventional belt cleaners are affixed or non-flexible and non-modular that makes them wear-off rather easily and also damage the belt. Furthermore, the conventional belt cleaners include flat elongated elements extending to a width of the conveyor loop. However, there are limitations with the aforementioned flat elongated elements such as breakages from the site of higher pressure forces at the time of operation, resulting in replacement of the entire belt cleaner and/or conveyor belt system. Furthermore, advancements have been made to overcome the above mentioned limitations, such as a plurality of wedge shaped cleaning elements replaced the flat elongated elements. However, the pluralities of wedge shaped cleaning elements have their own limitations such as ineffective to withstand the pressure forces and inefficient to clean the conveyor loop.
In light of foregoing discussion, there is a need to overcome the limitations with the conveyor belt cleaners and systems thereof.
