An Exhaust Pipe And An Exhaust System Of A Vehicle

Abstract: ABSTRACT 5 The present disclosure discloses an exhaust pipe (100) of a vehicle (300). The exhaust pipe (100) includes a first portion (1) fluidly connectable to an exhaust port of an internal combustion engine (16) of the vehicle. The first portion (1) extends in a first direction (2) relative to a vehicle lengthwise direction (13). Further, the exhaust pipe includes a second portion (3), extending from the first 10 portion (1), in a second direction (4). The second portion (3) is fluidly connectable to a muffler of an exhaust system (200) of the vehicle. The exhaust pipe (100) further includes a bypass passage (5) fluidly interconnecting the first portion (1) and the second portion (3). The configuration of the exhaust pipe (100) reduces pumping losses associated with the exhaust system (200) of the 15 vehicle. The aspect of providing bypass passage (5) reduces pulsation effect and mean flow resistance encountered by exhaust gases.
