An Anti Viral Illumination Device For Sterilization Against Sars Cov 2
Abstract: An illumination device for disinfection and mitigation of particularly aerosol mediated airborne infections, the said device comprising an assembly of at least two light emitting diodes, wherein the first light emitting diode emits antipathogenic light within the range of 400 nm to 410 nm and the second light emitting diode emits light at a range of 450 nm to 520 nm, which is converted into white light due to an encapsulating coating of a combination of silicates, nitride and silicone each present at specific concentration ranges along with a nanolayer coating of combination of titanium dioxide, silver and chitosan. A method of disinfection attaining reduction of at least 90% microbial or viral load including but not limited to SARS COV2 virus using the said device within an hour for an unit volume of 1000 ft3 is also described herein.
