Specification

FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to an improved auto-disable syringe for single use.
PRIOR ART
Currently available disposable syringe{s) can be re-used & miss-used. This causes harmful effects not only to the patients but also to the healthcare workers. Hence, an improved single use syringe is required to be introduced.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The primary object of the present invention is to provide an improved auto-disable single use Syringe which overcomes disadvantages associated with the prior art.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved auto-disable syringe which is simple in construction.
Further object of the present invention is to provide an improved auto-disable syringe which is efficient.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
According to this invention, there is provided an improved auto-disable syringe comprising of a plunger having a pointed tip with a gasket there below in a barrel to be incorporated inside barrel luer (nozzle) after use wherein upper part of the plunger is connected to lower part at two points.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS-
Further objects and advantages of this invention will be more apparent from the ensuing description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and wherein:
Fig. 1 shows: enlarged view of top part of the present invention.
Fig. 2 shows: ring inside barrel luer (nozzle).
Fig. 3 shows: connectivity between upper and lower part of the plunger.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS;-
The present invention discloses an improved auto disable syringe as shown in the accompanying figures wherein a plunger (1) with an arrow like profile (2) at its tip is provided for getting the same locked by means of a ring (as shown in fig. 1) locked at the entry point of luer (nozzle) of barrel (4) after use.
Said plunger is divided into two parts, namely upper and lower part. The upper part terminates just below the gasket as shown in figure 3. The upper part is connected to the lower part at two points constituting a weaker zone. Length of the plunger is less than the length of the plunger of known syringe. This makes the invention cost-effective.
Above said provision has been made for additional safety. So that, after use the lower part of said plunger can be detached leaving the upper part inside the barrel. The detachment occurs automatically upon pulling the
plunger with little force after injecting the medicine/when it is tried for re-use. This provision avoids re-use of the syringe.
The auto-disable syringe of the present invention is based on a mechanism such that after single administration of medicament, it can never be re-used. After administration of prescribed dose, its plunger with pointed tip below which an 'O' ring designed gasket (3) is provided is incorporated inside the barrel luer (nozzle) for getting the same locked. Its barrel luer (nozzle) has ring inside, which prevents the pointed tip of plunger to move backward. Once plunger is locked, its lower part is detached as described herein above.
Said connectivity at two points gives rise to better arrangement during assembly. This results in less number of rejections during manufacture of the syringe.
It is to be understood that the above-described embodiments are illustrative of only a few of the many possible specific embodiments, which can represent applications of the principles of the invention. However, numerous and varied other arrangements can be readily devised in accordance with these principles by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.

WE CLAIM;
1. An improved auto-disable syringe comprising of a plunger having a pointed tip with a gasket there below in a barrel to be incorporated inside barrel luer (nozzle) after use wherein upper part of the plunger is connected to lower part at two points.
2. An improved auto-disable syringe as claimed in claim 1, wherein said barrel luer (nozzle) is provided with a ring there within.
3. An improved auto-disable syringe as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein said upper part terminates just below the gasket as shown in figure.
4. An improved auto-disable syringe substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
