Abstract: The invention relates to a aerosol deodorant pack with designed plastic cover on it to provide different outer shape to the pack, the size and shape of the pack which is visible to the consumer does not depend on metal can size and shape which is always in round shape, the conventional aerosol deodorant pack is in round shape and with different dispensing mechanism: to give different aesthetic look to the pack, it was designed in such a way that different structures and shape is possible on it, metal can which is filled with aerosol product is in hidden parts to give consumer a different taste of pack visibility.
The object of present invention is to develop an improved pressurized container
for dispensing aerosols.
According to search conducted on google network we find that aerosol
container is a dispenser that holds a substance under pressure and that can
release it as a fine spray usually by means of a propellant gas.
Aerosol spray is a type of dispensing system which creates an aerosol mist of
liquid particles. This is used with a can or bottle that contains a liquid under
pressure. When the container's valve is opened, the liquid is forced out of a
small hole and emerges as an aerosol or mist. As gas expands to drive out the
payload, only some propellant evaporates inside the can to maintain an even
pressure. Outside the can, the droplets of propellant evaporate rapidly, leaving
the payload suspended as very fine particles or droplets. Typical liquids
dispensed in this way are insecticides, deodorants and paints.
The present invention relates to Pressurized containers for dispensing aerosols
are well known in the art and are typically constructed of metal in order to
withstand the inherent internal pressure of aerosols. All deodorants are in
cylindrical Aerosol metal can to protect and maintain the pressurized condition.
Due to technological criticality and limitations all these cans are mainly
cylindrical in shape.
Hence a consumer may not receive different feel and experience in deodorant
pack.
The different representation of shape and size of packs are expected by
consumer to get away from monotonous way of product experience.
Accordingly it is an objective of the present invention to provide more aesthetic
look of the deodorant pack without compromising its basic function and product
safety and consume less amount of metal. Designed injection moulded plastic
shell with aluminium can inside suffix consumer expectation of aesthetic need
and convenience of use.
Saving in metal is a must as to reduce the cost of metal such as tin and
aluminum which are very expensive material. Thus saving of metal will reduce
the cost factor of pressurized containers for dispensing aerosols.
THE PRIOR ART HAS FOLLOWING INTERALIA DISADVANTAGES :-
In the current available can manufacturing process, except round shape other
profile is not possible. Some can are slightly shaped with some embossing or
de-bossing on cylindrical shape. But it is not possible to away from basic
cylindrical shape.
There are two type of material used in can making. One is in tin and another is
aluminium. Tin can is having seam joint and three in pieces. There are some
critical disadvantages of corrosive tendency of tin, seam opening and processing
technology limitation etc. Due to the same still two piece aluminium can is most
preferable material for deodorant pack and printing is being done through rotary
printing process. In this process clear image/halftone printing can't be possible.
The aluminium can making process is very complex and it will be very costly if
any profile need to be created on the can. To give bigger look to the pack,
different organization uses different size of can for same content. The different
brands available in market are with different cap design on round can to
differentiate their presence.
It is therefore an object of present invention to overcome the disadvantages
mentioned above and develop such Pressurized containers for dispensing which
are economical to make and/or commercially viable and use of metal is
minimized.
These and other objects of the present invention given below and the containers
so produced are dispensable and /or economically viable.
The present invention lies on aesthetic design of deodorant packaging and novel
deodorant cans which can be used wherein metal contents are minimized.
More particularly present invention pertains to optimize aerosol metal can size
by using a designed plastic outer shell to ensure better aesthetic look of the pack
to the consumer to create attraction and to have different experience with the
pack. This plastic outer shell can be in single piece or two pieces with different
shape and is cheaper to use the same unlike metal which is more expensive.
The plastic containers so produced are economical to make and does not involve
high technology. In other words, the plastic containers so produced are
economical to make.
According to present invention there is provided plastic outer shell which will
provide extra protection to the metal can.
Further, according to present invention there is provided plastic outer shell as
mentioned above wherein outer plastic shell decoration can be done by Inmould
labeling (label during moulding of plastic cover), Foil transferring, Therimaize (
where we can get excellent halftone) along with conventional shrink sleeve and
pad printing.
Still further, according to present invention there is provided plastic outer shell
as mentioned above wherein different texture effect on plastic cover is possible.
Matt, gloss combination finish along with required profile is possible on the
same to enhance its aesthetic look.
In the said plastic outer shell, as metal can is hidden inside the plastic cover,
only optimize can size can be used Metal consumption will be optimized.
Plastic cover will take care of require size of the pack.
Plastic outer shell as mentioned above, the use of costly tool to get shaped metal
can is avoided and conventional cylindrical can is sufficient for this pack.
Plastic outer shell as claimed mentioned above in which any change in pack
shape can be achieved by developing plastic low cost mould with respect to
costly can making tool.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
The innovative pack in which the Aerosol metal can will be covered by
the plastic outer shell and this outer shell can be any kind of size and shape as
per our need (As Fig 1). The pack has following parts in it-
Metal can - Cylindrical optimized metal can to protect and maintain the
pressurized condition of aerosol product inside.
Valve - one way locking valve for control dispensing based actuator function.
Designed plastic cover - single piece or two piece injection moulded plastic
cover as per desired shape and size to cover and protect metal can from outside.
Cap and actuator - Matched cap and actuator with proper locking on plastic
shell to control dispensing and flow.
We shall now describe the present invention with reference to accompanying
drawings which are given by illustration but does restrict the scope of present
invention.
Fig.l of the accompanying drawings shows the individual components of the
present innovation.

THE PRESENT INVENTION HAS INTERALIA FOLLOWING
ADVANTGAES:-
In normal case it has been observed dent on can but in present invention the
plastic outer shell will provide the extra protection to the metal can which
means it will improve the quality of total packaging for Deodrant.
For conventional deodorant pack in metal can is being decorated only with
shrink sleeve, label or direct printing (where face or other high quality halftone
job is not possible) but by introducing outer plastic shell decoration can be done
by Inmould labeling (label during moulding of plastic cover), Foil transferring,
Therimaize ( where we can get excellent halftone) along with conventional
shrink sleeve and pad printing.
Different texture effect on plastic cover is possible. Matt, gloss combination
finish along with required profile is possible on the same to enhance its aesthetic
look.
As metal can is hidden inside the plastic cover, only optimize can size can be
used. Metal consumption will be optimized. Plastic cover will take care of
require size of the pack. There is no requirement of costly tool to get shaped
metal can. Conventional cylindrical can is sufficient for this pack.
Any change in pack shape can be achieved by developing plastic low cost
mould with respect to costly can making tool.
