Still particularly, this invention envisages an improved air filtering support for closed air circuit air cooled machine which spreads air on all the surface of the duct to maximise the duct co0Hng.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
The motor windings get heated up, during operation, due to generation of various heat' losses. There are two type of ventilation circuit used in a motor. One is single circuit ventilation and other is dual circuit ventilation. In single circuit ventilation, a singly fan is used at driving end of the motor whereas an opening for air suction is provided at the non driving end of the motor. The ventilation circuit gets completed step-by-step which mentioned as below:
1. When fan rotates, the air suction gets started;
2. The air passes through the air guide;
3. After passing through the air guide, the air passes through the spiders of the shaft; and
4. After the air passes through the spiders, it passes through the stamping ducts and finally it reaches the fan.

In this process, due to high velocity of the air distribution, the ducts become unequal. This results in unequal temperature distribution.
OBJECTS OF INVENTION:
An object of the invention is to provide an improved air filtering support, for closed air circuit air cooled machine, which spreads air on the entire surface of the duct to maximise the duct cooling.
Another object of the invention is to provide an improved air filtering support, for closed air circuit air cooled machine, which spreads air uniformly on the entire surface of the duct to maximise the duct cooling.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide an improved air filtering support, for closed air circuit air cooled machine, which increases air velocity in all the air ducts and provides uniform distribution of cooling.
Still another object of the invention is to provide an improved air filtering support, for closed air circuit air cooled machine, which reduces the temperature rise in the motor.
An additional object of the invention is to provide an improved air filtering support, for closed air circuit air cooled machine, which gives lrelatively lesser turbulence in the ventilation circuit.
Yet an additional object of the invention is to provide an improved air filtering support, for closed air circuit air cooled machine, which generates relatively lless noise due to controlled air velocity.

Still an additional object of the invention is to provide an improved cooling system comprising baffle means, for closed air circuit air cooled machine, which uniformly spreads air on all the surface of the duct of the rotor to maximize duct cooling.
Another object of the invention is to provide an improved cooling system comprising baffle means, for closed air circuit air cooled machine, which helps to pass more air though the duct and increases velocity in all the air ducts and provide uniform distribution of cooling.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide an improved cooling system comprising baffle means, for closed air circuit air cooled machine, which helps to reduce the temperature rise in the motor.
Still another object of the invention is to provide an improved cooling system comprising baffle means, for closed air circuit air cooled machine, which gives relatively lesser turbulence at the end plate of the rotor.
An additional object of the invention is to provide an improved cooling system comprising baffle means, for closed air circuit air cooled machines which generates the less noise due to controller air velocity.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
According to this invention, there is provided an air filtering support for

closed air circuit air cooled machine having a plurality of air ducts placed one after another, said support comprising at least a disc adapted to partially block air for diversion said blocked air to air ducts placed prior to said disc, and further adapted to partially allow air for diversion to air ducts placed after said disc, said discs being located at pre-defined intervals in accordance with the number of air ducts provided and in accordance with the cooling effect required
Typically, said disc is preferably circular
Typically, said disc is an aerodynamically designed disc.
Typically, said support includes a plurality of discs.
Typically, said support includes a first disc which is a relatively smaller disc than a subsequent second disc.
Typically, each subsequent located disc is a relatively larger disc than a prior located disk.
Typically, said first smaller disc blocks the air to some degree in accordance with its size and providing to duct, some air will pass on to a second disc which further blocks some amount of air and further passes the blocked air to the underlying ducts.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS:
The invention will now be described in relation to the accompanying drawings, in which:

Figure 1 illustrates an air filtering support for closed air circuit air cooled machine, showing the direction of air flow; and
Figure 2 illustrates an air filtering support for closed air circuit air cooled machine, showing the direction of air flow.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS:
Figure 1 illustrates an air filtering support for closed air circuit air cooled machine, showing the direction of air flow; and
Figure 2 illustrates an air filtering support for closed air circuit air cooled machine, showing the direction of air flow.
According to this invention there is provided an improved air filtering support (100) for closed air circuit air cooled machine comprises at least a disc (10) mounted on spider of the shaft inside of the motor, to block the air at pre-defined intervals and so as to facilitate air flow inside the duct(s) for cooling. Preferably, a plurality of discs (10, 12) may be mounted in accordance with the number of air ducts provide for rotor cooling.
In accordance wit an embodiment of this invention, said disc is preferably circular. The diameters may vary according to design of air filter and cooling mechanism. Typically, said discs are located at pre-defined intervals in accordance with the number of air ducts provided and in accordance with the cooling effect required. Having more disc forces more air to flow through the channels, but the blow force of air will have

to be increased in order to overcome the resistance provided by said discs. Thus, an optimum calculated number of discs is placed.
In accordance with yet another embodiment of this invention, a first disc (10) is a relatively smaller disc than a subsequent second disc.
In accordance with yet another embodiment of this invention, a subsequent disc (12) is a relatively larger disc than prior disk.
Thus, said first smaller disc blocks the air to some degree in accordance with its size and providing to duct, some air will pass on to a second disc which further blocks some amount of air and further passes the blocked air to the underlying ducts, and so on and so forth.
In accordance with still another embodiment of this invention, there is provided an improved air filtering support for closed air circuit air cooled machine which spreads air on all the surface of the duct to maximise the duct cooling. While cooling a closed air circuit air cooled machine, in a single circuit arrangement, the air in the ducts closer to the fan side does not go up due to high velocity of air which ultimately affects the cooling of the winding in those areas resulting inconsistent heating. By providing air annular rings in the midway of the path, the air velocity changes uniformly through out the winding. This results into uniform distribution of the air in the ducts.
In accordance with this invention, the motor windings get heated up during operation due to generation of various heat losses. There are two type of ventilation circuit used in a motor. One is single circuit and other

one is dual circuit ventilation. In single circuit ventilation a single fan is used driving end of the motor where as opening for air suction is provided in the non driving end. When fan rotates the air suction gets started and it comes from the ambient air. Then, the air gets passed through the air guide. After the air guide, the air passes through the spiders of the shaft. After spider, it passes through the stamping ducts and finally it reaches the fan.
In this process due to high velocity of the air distribution in the ducts become unequal. This results into unequal temperature distribution. In the new type of arrangement, at the entrance path of the air where the air velocity in the ducts is very less, an innovative circular disk is provided to increase the air velocity in the ducts. Similarly, one more circular disk is provided in between to make the distribution of air in the core more uniform with an increased velocity.
Baffle can be of any shape but having smooth curvature and uniformly placed between the ducts.

We claim:
1. An air filtering support for closed air circuit air cooled machine having a plurality of air ducts placed one after another, said support comprising at least a disc adapted to partially block air for diversion said blocked air to air ducts placed prior to said disc, and further adapted to partially allow air for diversion to air ducts placed after said disc, said discs being located at pre-defined intervals in accordance with the number of air ducts provided and in accordance with the cooling effect required

4. An air filtering support as claimed in claim 1 wherein, said support includes a plurality of discs.
