INTRODUCTION:
This invention relates to the field of electrical engineering. More particularly , this invention relates to electrical accessories for lamp holders for adapting a bulb/ lamp securable.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION :
Lamp Holders are used to hold lamp. Earlier brass holders are more commonly used but now-a days many other materials are used. These holders have solid or hollow spring contact terminals.
Two types of holders are commonly available:
1. Bayonet cap lamp holder
2. Edision screw type lamp holder
Salient features of both the lamp holder are discussed below-
1. Bayonet cap lamp holder :
In this type of holder, the bulb is fitted in to slots provided in the skirt and is held in position by means of two pins in the lamp cap. These lamp holders have two solid or hollow spring contact terminals wherein the supply mains through the switch are connected to these contacts.
2. Edision screw type lamp holder
In this type of holder, the cap is provided with screw thread and the lamp has a corresponding screw type cap. It has a center contact which is connected to the live wire and the screwed cap is connected to the neutral wire. These holders are used with lamps having wattage more than 150W.
There are several types of bayonet lamp holders :

1. Batten holder : This type of lamp holder is directly fitted on the wooden board which in turn is fixed on the wall. The lamp is then supported by the batten holder.
2. Pendent Holder: In situations, where the bulb/lamp is to be suspended from the ceiling rose, pendent holder is used to hold the lamp.
3. Angle Holder : Angle holder is used where the light of the lamp is needed to be fitted at certain angle. Such types of angle holders are directly fitted on the wall.
4. Bracket Holder: Such holders are used when direct light is required in the room or space to be lighted. Such holders are also used in table lamps. Bracket used with such types of holders are normally made of brass.
Bayonet lamp holders of above types are used for lamps below 200W.
For lamps having wattage of 200W to 300W, Edision screw type holders are used.
For lamps having wattage more than 300W, Goliath screw type holders are used.
PRIOR ART:
United States Patent 5989068 discloses an improved decorative light bulb holder structure comprises a light bulb holder, a socket shell, and a light bulb, and can provide convenience in assemblage and wire routing. The light bulb holder has a specially designed connection column at one end that, in conjunction with two electrical wires, can be closely embraced by the socket shell to reach a sealing effect and to prevent the penetration of moisture.
United States Patent 7,325,942 describes a bulb assembly with a decorative cover comprising: a shell having a cavity formed therein; a holder including a bulb and having at least one projection formed on an inner surface thereof, said holder being received in said cavity of said shell; a rotatable transparent cover having a lower end thereof received in said holder and including a plurality of integrally formed branch members, each respective one of said plurality of branch members having different

surface planes; and an annular groove formed on said lower end of said rotatable transparent cover for receiving said at least one projection of said holder when said lower end of said rotatable transparent cover is received in said holder.
Another patent US 5707138 a light bulb holder having draining passageways includes a base connecting with a cap having engaged with a light bulb wherein two channels are formed on the sides of the cap and two grooves are provided in related inner sides of the base. After a connection between the cap and the base, two channels and two grooves become two draining passageways through the light bulb holder that provides infiltrating water pass by very soon and prevent from an electrical short circuit or eroding.
Thus it can be assessed from the foregoing discussion of existing state of art that several types of lamp holders are invented time to time to solve particular problem as addressed for.
However , there is still long felt need for a simple yet effective lamp holder which render easiness in production and can be afforded at minimum cost. Existing lamp holders are normally assembled with premanufactured components . Thus loose fitting of the components sometime results in poor service of the holder thereby affecting safety conditions and customer satisfaction.
OBJECT OF THE PRESENT INVENTION :
The basic object of the present invention is directed towards providing an one piece lamp holder.
Yet the object of the present invention is to provide a simple and efficient lamp holder which is less prone to defects resulting from poor fitting of assembled parts.

DRAWBACK ASSOCIATED WITH THE EXISTING STATE OF ART BATTEN HOLDERS:
In the existing methods of production of batten holders, several parts like socket, socket supporting member as well as base plate etc. are assembled to obtain the final product of the batten holder.
The socket supporting member may be secured to the base plate in various ways. For example, it may be secured with screws but screw fitment of the socket supporting member to the base plate is not ideal however since the screws tend to drop out during fitment. The socket supporting member may also be clipped to the base plate but clip fitting arrangements can present problems since the plastics material from which lamp holders are preferably fabricated tend to become brittle with time due to prolonged heating by the lamp and elasticity of the material essential to proper clip operation is lost.
Thus, there is inherent problem in the assembled batten holders as detailed above. The lamp holder according to the invention is monolithic in nature and the object of the invention is thus to provide a simple method of production where the production of the holder can be made at one go thereby reducing the cost of labour and time of production.
SUMMERY OF THE INVENTION :
Accordingly the invention provides an one piece batten holder for electric bulbs comprising a circular outwardly directed flange forming an inner cavity which forms the base to connect two connectors , said connectors are securably fastened by screwing from the bottom of the base by screws , said connectors are configured to be adapted at the front side of the said base having inner biasing means to depress the connectors when pressed by the bottom of the bulb having metal terminals , said terminals when pushed against the connectors so that the two pins configured

therein moves down in the cut out of the outer periphery of the moulded projected area around the base and fastened by turning around.
BREIF DESCRIPTION OF ACCOMPANYING DRAWING :
The foregoing aspects and many of the advantages of this invention will become more readily appreciated by following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein,
Fig 1. Shows schematic representation of the one piece electric holder .
Fig. 2 .shows the back view of the one piece electric holder .
Fig. 3 shows side view of the one piece electric holder .
Fig. 4 shows the sectional view of the batten holder.
Fig. 5 is the elevation of the cut out
DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE ONE PIECE HOLDER ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO ACCOMPANIED DRAWINGS :
The one piece lamp holder according to the present invention consists of a circular flange (1). More particularly, the circular flange is configured to be outwardly directed thereby forming an inner cavity (2) therein.
The one piece lamp holder is made from insulated mould able plastic material.
The inner cavity (2) forms a base ( 3) where two numbers of connectors are connected . The two nos. of connectors (4,5) are securably fastened to the base (3).
The said connectors (4,5) are fastened by means of screws from the bottom of the base (3) by set of screws (6,7).

The screws ( 6,7) are made of metal.
The metal terminals / connectors (4,5) thus formed are adapted to be situated at the
front side of the said base (3).
The connectors situated at the front side of the base consists of inner biasing means (13) whereby the connectors can be depressed when pressure is given while inserting the lamp/bulb.
The inner biasing means may be a spring assembly .
The lamp/bulb (14) to be fitted to the holder have corresponding metal terminals (8,9). while fitting the bulb/lamp to the holder, said terminals (8,9) at the bottom of the bulb are pushed against the connectors (4,5) so that both the pins move down in the cut out (10,11) of the outer periphery of the moulded projected area (12) around the base (3). and hence the bulb terminal is connected to the connectors of holder in the "L" shaped cut out 11(a) and 11(b) similarly 10(a) and 10(b) in the opposite side
The bulb is then fastened by turning around .
This holder can be directly fitted on the wooden board/ housing by means of fixing screws 15,16 which in turn is fixed on the wall. The lamp is then supported by the batten holder.
ADVANTAGES OF THE EMBODIMENT ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION :
In the existing state of art lamp holders are assembled by putting up together three or four major components . Thus production of such assembled lamp holder requires more labour and time for production thereby increasing cost of production. Such piecemeal and then assembled system effects the quality of the product and also make the production process cumbersome.

This one piece holder is also customized to render best possible advantages to the users and technical specifications as guided by IS : 1258 is strictly adhered to.
Some of the salient advantages apart from the fore going is detailed below-
1. It conceals the mounting screws .
2. It enables decoration to be performed with batten holder installed.
3. Four terminals are provided for Active, Neutral, Loop and earth respectively.
4. the terminals are shrouded and finger proofed.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY:
The invention is of immense applicability in the field of electrical engineering and more particularly in the field of electrical accessories.
Due to monolithic construction of the holder avoiding assembling practice , cost of production of such holder is optimized . Further to this, the holder provides safety for the users due to its monolithic construction.
