The following specification particularly describes the nature of the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed: -
Present invention relates to an improved fuel cock assembly for automobiles. More particularly present invention relates to the fuel cock assembly for automobiles having a specially provided cylindrical rubber bush which acts as a seal, imparts more surface area and controls the leakage of fuel; loss of fuel due to evaporation and enhances the life of the fuel cock.
In prior art, in two or three wheelers, the fuel cock assembly for automobiles is having a flat seal, which is kept, in position with the hole in the body and over the said seal lever is rotating. Position of the lever makes way for the fuel connection to 'ON' and 'RES' position of the lever. The rubber seal has a button projection for sealing the fuel. Thus the area of contact in the fuel assembly is very much less than required which leads to leakage and evaporation of fuel over a period of time and comparatively less life.
Object of the present invention aims at developing a fuel cock assembly for automobiles, which avoids wastage of fuel due to leakage and evaporation.
It is also the object of the present invention to develop a fuel cock assembly for automobiles having long life and and evaporation control.
According to the most salient feature of the present invention the fuel cock assembly for automobiles is specially provided with a cylindrical rubber bush which acts as a seal, imparts more surface area and controls the leakage of fuel, loss of fuel due to evaporation and enhances the life of the fuel cock.
According to this invention, therefore, an improved fuel cock assembly for automobiles comprising of the main body with taper, characterised in that there is provided a cylindrical rubber bush in the flange portion of the main body having a provision of two holes at 90 degree apart, the said bush is provided with a taper to match the taper provided in the said main body, the connector output is press-fitted to the said main body for fuel to flow out; the lever is inserted in the said bush; the said
