Abstract: This invention relates to an improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice comprises a mesh cover (11) to cover a mesh (10) partially, wherein the mesh having variable pore sizes is placed on blade plate (12) to crush the fruit so as to extract juice which is mounted on a blade base (13). It is associated with the following advantageous features:- - Reduction in the number of components of juicer - Compact and lighter in weight - Facilitates use and maintenance - Cost effective comparatively. (Fig. 2)
FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to the field of juice extraction devices. The present invention more particularly relates to an improved juicer to yield a thick and pulpy juice, as well as a regular juice without any pulp.
BACKGROUND AND PRIOR ART
[002] Juice extraction device is a kind of home appliance for extracting juice from food such as fruit, herbs, leafy greens, vegetable and the like. Centrifugal juicers with low price and quick juice extraction are the most widely used. Freshly extracted juice is perceived to be healthier and better tasting than the commercially available packaged juices, which may be less fresh and may contain undesirable additives such that the juice no longer is pure juice. Commercially available juices can be purchased in different varieties, most notably clear juices and cloudy juices. In cloudy juices, some of the solid matter of the food product, such as food fibers, is suspended in the juice to give the juice a more substantial texture. Such solid matter is commonly referred to as food pulp or simply pulp. Different consumers may prefer different types of juice; some consumers may not like to have 'bits', i.e. pulp, in their juice and therefore prefer a smooth, clear juice whereas other consumers may prefer the presence of such pulp and will therefore prefer the cloudy juices.
[003] It is therefore desirable to be able to control the pulp content in juice freshly produced with centrifugal juicers. US20130312623 Al discloses a fiber flow controlled centrifugal bowl mechanism including a centrifugal bowl and a mesh filter bracket sleeved at the bottom of the centrifugal bowl. The centrifugal bowl is provided with mesh holes allowing fibers to pass. The mesh size is adjustable to adjust the amount of fibers passing the mesh holes. A drawback of this solution is that the user needs to manually adjust the centrifugal bowl to achieve the desired pulp content in the beverage (juice), which may not be particularly intuitive. Moreover, the relatively complex structure of the centrifugal bowl makes cleaning of the bowl more cumbersome and adds to the cost of the bowl.
[004] WO2015185582 (A1) discloses a centrifugal juicer that can produce juices with user-controlled pulp content in an intuitive and cost-effective manner. There is provided a centrifugal juicer comprising a food shredding element cooperating with a circular sieve comprising a plurality of openings; a motor adapted to rotate the circular sieve, wherein the motor has a variable rotation speed and said openings are dimensioned such that food pulp can be forced through said openings at certain rotation speeds of the motor; and a user interface comprising a pulp content selection function, wherein the variable rotation speed of the motor is controlled by said pulp content selection function.
[005] US6394377 B1 discloses a device for crushing foodstuffs. The device has a housing for a user hold; a motor installed inside the housing; a drum member has an inlet portion for introducing foodstuffs therein and an extended portion; an internal cylindrical member being formed with a plurality of screw knife-edges and being formed with a shoulder along a front portion thereof for blocking a sludge penetration; a screw member being formed with a transferring thread portion including cut portions for pre-crushing, and a crushing thread portion including jaws for increasing a frictional force; and a cap assembled to the drum member for fixing the internal cylindrical member. When a user wants to extract the juice from the fruits, the only thing to do is to replace the internal cylindrical member with the mesh member. The mesh member includes an extraction bag and plural reinforcing ribs. Also in this case, the mesh member is formed with plural knife-edges and front shoulder.
[006] Publication No. CA2855925 discloses a juicer comprising: a filter mesh formed having a plurality of holes for not permitting the residue of food ground in the juicer to pass through, while permitting the pulp of the food to pass; and a cutting blade having at least a portion thereof pressed against one side of the filter mesh, for cutting the residue of food stuck in at least one portion of the plurality of holes.
[007] US8091473 B2 discloses a juice extractor capable of extracting juice from vegetables, fruits or soymilk from beans.
[008] The extractor includes a housing having a draff outlet port and a juice outlet port, a screw having an upper rotary shaft inserted in a rotary shaft hole of the housing and a lower rotary shaft with a plurality of screw spirals formed on an outer periphery thereof, and a mesh drum for extracting the juice toward the juice outlet port, and a rotary brush mounted between the housing and the mesh drum and having a brush holder. On inner wall of the mesh drum, wall blades, which include long blades and short blades, are longitudinally projected at predetermined intervals. The height of projected wall blades is decreased toward the lower part of the wall blades so that the wall blades crush the materials fine as the materials are moved downward by the screw. The outer wall of the mesh drum has a mesh structure so that the juice extracted from the grinded material passes through the mesh structure. It is preferable that the size of the mesh is gradually decreased toward the lower part of the mesh structure since the size of the material particles is decreased toward the lower part of the mesh drum. In addition, since the material is finely grinded at an intermediate height of the mesh drum, the intermediate part of the mesh drum has a sealing structure rather than a mesh structure so as to prevent the draff from being caught in the mesh structure or from slipping through the mesh structure and being mixed with the juice.
[009] Publication No. GB1045243 discloses a method of producing edible fruit or vegetable juice substantially free of insoluble solids, comprising pulverizing the edible fruit or vegetable into a fine pulverulent fluid mass comprising both insoluble solids and juice, mixing a filter aid with the fluid mass and, without prior separation of the insoluble solids from the juice, filtering the fluid mass through a filter comprising a fine mesh sheet material precoated with filter aid to separate the juice from the insoluble solids and collecting the juice thus produced provided that, except when the fruit or vegetable is substantially free from pectin, pectin is removed by depectinisation with a pectic enzyme and inactivation of the enzyme, at least the depectinisation being carried out prior to filtration of the fluid mass.
[0010] Publication No. CN204734320 discloses a juice extractor and filtering component thereof, wherein, juice extractor filtering component crosses strainer filter support filter screen unit and filter screen mount including the inside integrative injection moulding's that stands by as an outsider, the upper portion and the lower part interval of filter screen unit are equipped with the filter mesh hole that the multiunit was arranged along the circumferential direction, cross strainer filter support and are equipped with annular fretwork portion with the filter screen mount respectively in the region that upper portion and lower part correspond filter mesh hole, filter mesh hole is rectangular shape or arc, and follow vertically, transversely or the incline direction arrange. The utility model discloses, the filter screen unit is equipped with multiunit filter mesh hole in upper portion and lower part, and filter mesh hole adopts on the filter screen unit vertically, the mode of arranging of horizontal or incline direction, and the juice extractor filtering component of the different modes of arranging is selected to the characteristics of the fruit that the user can squeeze the juice as required.
[0011] Publication No. CN105326323 discloses a juice extractor, which comprises a base, a shell, a strainer basket, a juice extraction head, a top cover, a first driving mechanism and a second driving mechanism, wherein the two driving mechanisms, which are different in speed, are arranged on the base; the first driving mechanism is used for driving a juice extraction breaking part at a slow speed; and the second driving mechanism is faster than the first driving mechanism and is used for driving the strainer basket to throw juice at a high speed. The juice extractor disclosed by the invention, by a mode of breaking and grinding at the slow speed, can minimize adverse influence on nutritional ingredients in a process of extracting the juice, so that the juice is kept fresh and natural; by virtue of the breaking part and a grinding part of the juice extraction head, food is continuously broken and is repeatedly squeezed and ground for several times, the completely broken food enters the strainer basket and the juice in the food is completely thrown out through the high-speed rotation of the strainer basket, so that the juice extractor is greatly higher than original juice extractors in juice yield.

[0013] Patent No. 5,669,289 discloses a strainer assembly including a base formed at a central portion thereof with a rectangular projection having a cylindrical upper portion with external threads, the base having a plurality of holes, a cylindrical filter arranged on the base and having an open top, the cylindrical filter having an inner bottom formed with a plurality of protuberances around a periphery thereof and an outer bottom formed with a plurality of downwardly depending projections adapted to fit into the holes of the base, a circular cutter having a rectangular opening at a central portion thereof adapted to engage with the rectangular projection of the base and a plurality of recesses adapted to engage with the protuberances of the cylindrical filter, and a cap threadedly engaged with the external threads of the base.
[0014] Publication No. US20120048127 discloses a dual-filter cutter rotary disc for the juicer, which includes a base coupled to the juicer. The base includes two filter nets which are synchronously rotated along with the base and at least one cutter. The two filter nets are an inner filter net and an outer filter net. The two filter nets have meshes which are different in configuration, in shape and in size, so that the two filter nets have different operative filter areas. In this way, the smaller meshes of the inner filter net can filter larger fibers, so the pomace in the juice is less. The meshes of the outer filter net can get a higher juice yield to keep the flavor of fruit. Hence, the invention achieves a dual-filter effect.
[0015] Patent No. 5,784,954 discloses the juice extractor is installed on the uniform base on the circular section with the rectangular protrusion. On the circular section the housing is mounted containing the motor with the coupling above which the basin, equipped with the anti-vortex element is mounted. The flexible elements, adjacent with their perimeters to the side surfaces of the basket and the coupling, are fixed between the basket with the cutter disk and the coupling. On the cylindrical part of the cover the adjustable chute cone is mounted. The discharge container rests on the rectangular protrusion of the base, and, being adjacent to the housing, creates with it a solid having an oval intersection with bevel from the top of it.
[0016] Publication No. US2009272280 discloses a juicer for extracting juice from fruits and vegetables comprising a lower base, an upper base, a top cover with a hollow cylindrical feeding tube, a grating-disk and mesh filter assembly, a pulp collector, and a pusher. The upper base is mounted on a lower base and receives the grating-disk and mesh filter assembly. The grating disk is a concave shape and tooth-like cutters are arranged into rows on an inclined surface of the grating disk. The top cover is fitted on the upper base and houses a hollow cylindrical feeding tube. Inside the feeding tube is an anti-rotation protrusion, located at the bottom of the feeding tube made an integral part of the feeding tube to prevent the food from spinning inside the tube. The pusher is inserted into the feeding tube and contains a opening that matches the anti-rotation protrusion and into which rests the anti-rotation protrusion. The bottom of the pusher is convex-shaped and matches the concave grating disk. The pusher forces the fruit or vegetable through the bore of the feeding tube onto the grating disk.
[0017] Publication No. CN102188152 discloses an extruding type raw-juice juicer comprising a juicing cover, a juicing body, a spiral propeller, a juicing net, a cleaning mechanism and a driving part, wherein the juicing cover is provided with a food feeding port arranged at one side of the upper part and a central shaft hole at the lower inner part; the juicing body is arranged at the lower part of the juicing cover; the spiral propeller is provided with an upper rotary shaft, a plurality of spirals, a plurality of gears and a lower rotary shaft, wherein the upper rotary shaft is positioned at the upper part of the spiral propeller, the plurality of spirals are arranged on the outer surface of the spiral propeller, a plurality of gears are distributed on the bottom of the spiral propeller along the circumference, and the lower rotary shaft is arranged at the center of the bottom of the spiral propeller and provided with a polygonal shaft hole; the juicing net is provided with a mesh structure; the cleaning mechanism is provided with a cleaning frame and a cleaning brush; the cleaning brush is arranged on the cleaning frame; and the driving part is provided with a motor arranged in the main body of the juicer.
[0018] Publication No. 818/CHE/2003 discloses juice extractor for mixie grinder comprises a jar supporting a powered grinding blade assembly receivable by a cylindrical grinding chamber inserted and clamped into the jar characterized in that the cylinder grinding chamber with an upper opening for receiving ungrounded ingredient is provided with a detachable adapter that is positioned between the upper opening of cylindrical grinding chamber and a lid that covers the opening of the jar.
[0019] Hence, in view of the above prior arts, there is still a need for an improved juicer which gives the user to choose the juice type- pulpier or pulp-free and that too with facilitating ease of use and maintenance.
[0020] Thus, the present invention aims to an improved juicer with reduced components to yield a thick and pulpy juice, in addition to the regular juice without any pulp as per the user’s choice.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[0021] The principal objective of the present invention is to provide an improved juicer to yield a thick and pulpy juice, in addition to the regular juice without any pulp.
[0022] Another object of the present invention is to give the consumer a choice to have a thick and pulpy juice, in addition to the regular juice without any pulp.
[0023] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a pulp-free juice that serves as a great energy booster.
[0024] Still another object of the present invention is to allow some pulp/fibre to mix with the juice and yield a thicker, pulpier and healthier juice.
[0025] Another object of the present invention is to develop a compact juicer thus facilitating ease of use and maintenance.
[0026] Further object of the present invention is to develop an improved juicer to yield a thick and pulpy juice which is simple in construction and user friendly.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0027] According to this invention there is provided an improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice comprises a mesh cover to cover a mesh partially, wherein the mesh having variable pore sizes is placed on blade plate to crush the fruit so as to extract juice which is mounted on a blade base.
[0028] The mesh, one half of which has smaller pores to yield pulp-free juice and other half of which has bigger pores to obtain the thick and pulpy juice.
[0029] The mesh is reversible upside down and downside up to extract the pulp free and pulpy juice.
[0030] The mesh is provided with a slot. The mesh cover is having a hook. The hook is engaged in the slot upon rotation of the mesh.
[0031] The mesh with mesh cover houses a hopper to drop fruit/vegetable therein which is pressed by means of a plunger.
[0032] A holder holds the mesh mounted on a blade base with blade plate. The holder is attached to a juice container thereunder in which the juice container is having a knob for dispensing juice.

DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
[0034] The present invention makes a disclosure regarding an improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice. The juicer of the present invention gives the consumer a choice to have a thick and pulpy juice and also normal juice without any pulp.
[0035] For the same, reference may be made to fig. 1 indicating whole of the juicer and fig. 2 showing exploded view of the juicer.
[0036] Now, reference may be made to fig. 3. The present invention comprises a mesh (10) having variable pore sizes, a mesh cover (11) to cover the part of the mesh; blade plate (12) to crush the fruit to extract juice; and a blade base (13). One half (10a) of the mesh (10) has smaller pores that does not allow any pulp/fibre to pass through and thus yields a pulp-free juice that serves as a great energy booster, whereas the other half (10b) has bigger pores allowing some pulp/fibre to mix with the juice and yield a thicker, pulpier and healthier juice.
[0037] Reference may be made to fig. 4 illustrating different sizes of pores in the mesh (10). The pores include smaller (10a) and bigger (10b) pores.
[0038] The mesh is reversible upside down and downside up to extract the juicer of user’s choice.
[0039] Referring to fig. 5 for yielding the juice, the user needs to attach the mesh (10) to the blade plate (12) such that the pore sizes suitable for the required type of juice are at the lower half of the mesh and the upper pores are blocked by the mesh cover (11). Mesh is engaged with mesh cover by means of positive locking. There is slot provided in plastic portion of mesh and hook in mesh cover. This hook is engaged in mesh when it is rotated. Integrating both the functions in a single mesh reduces the number of components, thus facilitating use and maintenance.
[0040] The assembly mentioned hereinabove houses a hopper (14) in which fruit/vegetable can be dropped for juicing. Said fruit/vegetable is pressed into the hopper by means of a plunger (15) prior to juicing.
[0041] In addition to the above, a holder (16) is provided so as to hold the assembly of mesh cover, mesh, blade plate and blade base as illustrated in the fig. 1 and 2. Further, a juice container (17) at the bottom receives whole of the assembly of parts discussed above i.e. the holder (16) is fitted to the juice container thereunder.
[0042] The juice container containing juice is having a knob (18) for dispensing juice.
[0043] The juicer of the invention can be made of any food grade material including plastic without restricting scope of the invention to the same. Thus, other materials readily apparent to a person skilled in the art are understood to be within the purview of the invention.

WE CLAIM:
1. An improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice comprises a mesh cover to cover a mesh partially, wherein the mesh having variable pore sizes is placed on blade plate to crush the fruit so as to extract juice which is mounted on a blade base.
2. An improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice as claimed in claim 1 wherein the mesh, one half of which has smaller pores to yield pulp-free juice and other half of which has bigger pores to obtain the thick and pulpy juice.
3. An improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice as claimed in claim 1 or 2 wherein the mesh is reversible upside down and downside up to extract the pulp free and pulpy juice.
4. An improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice as claimed in any of the preceding claims wherein the mesh is provided with a slot.
5. An improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice as claimed in any of the preceding claims wherein the mesh cover is having a hook.
6. An improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice as claimed in any of the preceding claims wherein the hook is engaged in the slot upon rotation of the mesh.
7. An improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice as claimed in any of the preceding claims wherein the mesh with mesh cover houses a hopper to drop fruit/vegetable therein which is pressed by means of a plunger.
8. An improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice as claimed in any of the preceding claims wherein a holder holds the mesh mounted on a blade base with blade plate.
9. An improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice as claimed in any of the preceding claims wherein the holder is attached to a juice container thereunder in which the juice container is having a knob for dispensing juice.
10. An improved juicer to obtain a thick and pulpy juice as well as pulp free juice as claimed in any of the preceding claims is associated with the advantageous features such as herein described.
