FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to an improved method for using plastic trim to assist serviceability and quality.
PRIOR ART
Conventionally, any major change in basic design of interior trim requires a new mould to accommodate all the vehicle system level requirements.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The primary object of the present invention is to provide an improved method for using plastic trim to assist serviceability and quality which overcomes disadvantages associated with the prior art.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved method for using plastic trim to assist serviceability and quality which is simple and efficient.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide an improved method for using plastic trim to assist serviceability and quality which is cost effective.

STATEMENT OF INVENTION
According to this invention, there is provided an improved method for using plastic trim to assist serviceability and quality comprising the following steps of:- Removal of the required shape from the plastic trim, Assembling additional molding to cover the cutting shape on the plastic trim.

The present invention discloses an improved method for using plastic trim to assist serviceability and quality as shown in fig. 1 and 2.

According to the Present Invention, water jet cutting technique is used to provide a cut out in plastic Trim parts for fuel pipe access and to improve the serviceability. To improve the visual appearance due to water jet cutting, additionally molding part is used to cover the cut out edge.
Features of the Present Invention
1. Water jet cutting technique is used to provide access to the fuel pipe by removing the required shape on the plastic trim.
2. To improve the visual appearance/quality of water jet cutting and additionally molding is assembled to cover the cutting shape on the plastic trim.
3. Change in assembly sequence.

• Cost effective due to saving of new part tool development cost.
• Improved serviceability.
• Improved Appearance in plastic Trim Area
• Improved Assembly of parts
• Improved quality of plastic Trim (Assembly problem like scratch etc).

WE CLAIM:
1. An improved method for using plastic trim to assist serviceability and quality comprising the following steps of:-Removal of the required shape from the plastic trim, Assembling additional molding to cover the cutting shape on the plastic trim.
2. An improved method as claimed in claim 1, wherein water jet cutting technique is used to provide access to the fuel pipe by the removal.
3. An improved method as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein said additional molding is assembled to improve the visual appearance/quality of water jet cutting.
4. An improved method for using plastic trim to assist serviceability and quality substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
