3. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the
invention and the manner in which it is to be performed : -
An improved modular plates for locking electrical switches.

The invention relates to modular plates consealed manner.

for fixing the electrical switches in a

The conventional switch boxes is made from wood or metal has its inherent problems such as fire hazards, electrical those plates has been replaced by polycarbonate plastic modular switch boxes for accommodating and fixing modular switches.

Principal object of this invention is to provide an improved modular plate for locking multiple electrical switches in a push-fit manner.

Another object of this invention is to provide an improved modular plate for locking multiple electrical switches in the consealed switch box wherein replacement of the switch box thereby user's friendly.

Still further object of this invention is to provide an improved modular plate for locking multiple electrical switches which gives a good asthetic look and shockproofness.

Still further object of this invention is to provide an improved modular plate for

locking multiple electrical switches which gives un-interrupted services.

Accordingly there is provided an improved modular plates (1) for locking electrical switches (2) having a bottom plate (3) with at least one apparature/ grooves (4) ranging from 1 to 18 module provided for accommodating switches with in-built projection inwardly slunting projection (5) for locking the modular switch having matching slots (6) in a press fit manner. The said bottom plate having screw fitting holes (7) on its flanges for fitting the bottom plate on the wall or on wooden frames in around the grooves portion of the switching box. A matching top cover is press fit
2

on the bottom plate to consealed the metal and projection locking means. Provided periphery of the top plate (8).s

screw in a push fit manner by the groove in the Groove of bottom plate (9) and

The invention will now be described with reference to figures 1 to 3 in the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is a bottom plate of modular plates for locking electrical switches.
Figure 2 is a top plate of modular plates for locking electrical switches.
Figure 3 is switch, sockets and accessories.
Referring to figures 1 to 3 in the accompanying drawings an improved modular

plates (1) for locking electrical switches (2) having a bottom plate (3) with plurality
of apparature/grooves (4) ranging from 1 to 18 module provided for accommodating switches with in-built projection inwardly slunting projection (5) for locking the modular switch having matching slots (6) in a press fit manner. The said bottom plate having screw fitting holes (7) on the wall or on wooden frames in around the grooves portion of the switching box. A matching top cover is press fit on the bottom plate to consealed the metal screw in a push fit manner by the groove and projection locking means.

The bottom plate (3) having multiple appartures the said appartues for accommodating modular switches in a push fit manner. The mechanism of locking is established by in-built moulded inwardly slunting projections (5) provided below the bottom plate and the grooves (6) provided on the both ends of the modular switch near the base. The said bottom plate (3) having screw fitting hole (7) for engaging the bottom plate on the wall or on wooden frames. The said bottom plate is covered by the top plate with matching grooves so as to lock the top plate with peripherial flanges in grooves and projection means in top and the bottom plate to
3
conseal the screw fitting (7). The top plate having peripherial flanges made form
polycarbonate plastic may have mono colour or multi- colour effect depending upon the colour of the peripherial flange of the top cover.

The bottom plate made from polycarbonate plastic mouldable material having multiple grooves to accommodate modular switches in a push-fit manner by means

of slunting projection at the lower part of the bottom plate and the grooves provided

on both side of the modular switch at their base said bottom plate having screw fitting holes at four corners for fixing switching box for consealed wiring. The said bottom plate having grooves on its edges for locking the top flange members in a push-fit manner for consealing metal screws.
The said bottom plate having borders on the longitudinal directions wherein the top flange/flap member is press-fit on the bottom plate by means of holes provided on

the body of the bottom plate and matching

projections on the top plate so that when

fitted together the projection of the top plate will go through the hole of the bottom plate thereby locking top plate on the bottom plate the top plate may be of mono colour or multi-colour flap members for giving mono colour or multi-colour effects on the switch board.

This is an embodiment of the invention several modification are possible which may be considered within the ambit and spirit of this invention.

WE CLAIM:

1. An improved modular plates (1) for locking electrical switeches (2) having a bottom plate (3) with plurality of apparature/ grooves (4) ranging from 1 to 18 module provided for accommodating switches with in-built projection inwardly slunting projection (5 ) for locking the modular switch having matching slots (6) in a press fit manner. The said bottom plate having screw fitting holes (7) on its flanges for fitting the bottom plate on the wall or on wooden frames in around the grooves portion of the switching box. A matching top cover is press fit on the bottom plate to consealed the metal screw in a push fit manner by the groove and projection locking means.

2. An improved modular plates (1) for locking electrical switches as claimed in claim 1, wherein the matching top cover is press fit on the bottom cover to consealed the metal screw and is locked by means of groove and projection at the periphery. The said locking is also done by projectional groove mechanism on the inner flanges also.
