Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved power driven wheel for electric vehicle. Particularly the invention relates to a novel power-driven vehicle wheel for a two wheeler comprising an expanded rotor ring with enhanced width and thickness. The wheel of the present invnertion comprises, a rim (1), an expanded rotor ring (2) having one or more magnets (3) and one or more side cover fixing threaded holes (4), a hub motor and a slot, wherein rotor ring (2) is configured to maintain continuous air gap between magnets (3) and hub motor. Further, the distance (3b) between the bottom of slot (6) on the stator side and rotor ring outer diameter is greater than or equal to 1.5 mm. Figure 1.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to the field of automobiles. Specifically, the present invention relates to development of wheel for electric vehicles. More particularly, the present invention relates to a power-driven improved wheel for a two wheeler.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In recent years, electric vehicles are booming in automobile industry. Generally, the electric vehicle includes electric bicycle, an electric motorcycle, an electric motor, an electric scooter and the like, and the electric vehicle is used as a new energy vehicle, so that the electric vehicle meets the requirement of a civilian travel tool for the majority of citizens due to a plurality of characteristics of economy, environmental protection, fashion and the like. In specific, electric vehicle is a driving device, which is directed by driving a wheel called a wheel hub motor. In particular, electric and hybrid vehicles can have significant emissions benefits over conventional vehicles. All-electric vehicles produce zero tailpipe emissions, and PHEVs produce no tailpipe emissions when operating in all-electric mode. HEV emissions benefits vary by vehicle model and type of hybrid power system.
Moreover, the electric vehicles have energy security as electric vehicles (EVs) typically use less fuel than conventional vehicles because they employ electric-drive technologies to boost vehicle efficiency and so on. In addition, electric vehicles are equipped with threads for mounting wheel hubs, bolts, and nuts, which are fitted through drilling mechanisms, which can lead to damage or punctures in the rim of the vehicle.
There are few reports available in the literature about the existence of various types of wheel for elelctric vehicle

CN217455509U discloses a lightweight motor hub, this invention includes the utility model provides a lightweight motor wheel hub, includes rim (2) and sets up rim (2) inboard magnetic ring (1), rim (2) are including bead portion (21) and flange (22), flange (22) are equipped with two, are located respectively the both ends of bead portion (21), magnetic ring (1) with bead portion (21) contact, its characterized in that the lateral surface system of magnetic ring (1) has and subtracts heavy groove (11), it has a plurality of mounting holes (13) to subtract to make on the cell wall of heavy groove (11), wear to be equipped with the screw in mounting hole (13).
Moreover, from the above cited literature it is clearly evident that commercially available hub motors in the market are either of standard size or have bigger diameter than the standard hub motors. Generally, in conventional wheels with standard size hub motor, the gap between the magnetic ring ( or between magnets pasted on inner radius of rotor ring) and the hub motor is properly maintained for efficient working of the hub motor. However, in wheels with hub motor of bigger diameter, the gap becomes very less that hinders the efficient working of hub motor. To maintain a proper gap, the thickness of the rotor ring is reduced which leads to puncture or damage of the rotor ring inner or outer diameter during the drilling of side cover threaded holes in the rotor ring. Thus, affects the functionality of the hub motor.
Although the available conventional wheel for electric vehicles, either cumbersome in usage. Further their no solution to solve the inconvenience caused by the existing wheel. Hence, an attempt has been made in the state of art to develop a novel Power-driven vehicle wheel to perform drilling side cover threaded hole fixing without puncturing inner and outer diameter of the expanded rotor ring.
OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION
The principal objective of the present invention is to develop an improved power-driven wheel for a two wheeler.
Another objective of the present invention is to develop a novel power-driven wheel for drilling side cover fixing threaded holes without damaging rotor ring.
Another objective of the present invention is to develop a novel power-driven vehicle wheel comprising an expanded rotor ring with enhanced width and thickness.
Yet another objective of the present invention is to develop a novel power-driven vehicle wheel comprising a expanded rotor ring with thickness and width to perform drilling of plurality of side cover fixing threaded holes without puncturing inner and outer diameter of the expanded rotor ring.
Further objective of the present invention is to utilize the developed power-driven wheel for preventing from damages during drilling side cover fixing threaded holes.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Accordingly the present invention relates to an improved power-driven wheel for a two wheeler (100), comprising rim (1); an expanded rotor ring (2) having plurality of magnets (3) on the entire inner circumference and one or more side cover fixing threaded holes (4); a hub motor or stator (5), and a slot (6), wherein the expanded rotor ring (2) is securely welded on the inner circumference of the rim (1) ; one or more side cover fixing threaded holes (4) are used to fit hub cover on the stator/hub motor (5) to make hub motor dust-proof/water-proof.
The power-driven wheel for a two wheeler of the present invention comprises a rotor ring (2) which is configured to maintain continuous air gap between magnet (3) and hub motor or stator (5). The rotor ring comprises a slot (6) on the entire circumference on the stator side. The disposition of the slot on the entire inner circumference is to aid the housing of the plurality of magenets such that an air gap is maintained between the rotor ring (02) and the stator (5). The slot (6) is disposed such that on the hub motor or stator (5) side of the rotor ring (2), between the inner ends of the threaded holes (4), the width of the slot (6) is configures to accomodate magnets (3) to completely fill the slot (7), and the depth of the slot (7) configures the magnets (4) to dispose partially inside and partially outside the slot (7), thereby resulting in an air gap between the magnet (3) and the hub motor or stator (5). The present invention is designed such as to perform drilling side cover fixing threaded holes (4) without puncturing inner and outer diameter of the expanded rotor ring (2).
In an aspect of the present invention, the magnets (3) are attached to the inner circumference of the expanded rotor ring (2).
In an another aspect of the present invnetion, the threaded holes (4) are blind holes arranged along the axial direction of the expanded rotor ring (2).
In an another aspect of the present invnetion, the stator / hub motor (5) is placed inside the rotor ring (2) which is connected to the axle of the wheel.
In yet another aspect of the present invnetion, the stator / hub motor (5) is in stationary portion connected on the wheel axle, the rotor ring is rotating with rim and tire on the circumference of the stator/hub motor.
In an another aspect of the present invnetion, the distance (3b) between the bottom of slot (6) on the stator side and rotor ring outer diameter is greater than or equal to 1.5 mm.
In yet another aspect of the present invnetion, the thickness (3a) of the rotor ring (2) is in the range of 2mm – 25mm.
In yet another aspect of the present invnetion, the distance (3b) between the bottom of slot (6) and rotor ring outer diameter is less than the total thickness (3a) of the rotor ring (2).
In further aspect of the present invnetion, the width (3c) of the rotor ring (2) is in the range of 15mm – 75mm.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention as embodied by “AN IMPROVED POWER DRIVEN WHEEL FOR A TWO WHEELER ”, succinctly fulfils the above-mentioned need(s) in the art. The present invention has objective(s) arising as a result of the above-mentioned need(s), said objective(s) being enumerated below. In as much as the objective(s) of the present invention are enumerated, it will be obvious to a person skilled in the art that the enumerated objective(s) are not exhaustive of the present invention in its entirety, and are enclosed solely for the purpose of illustration. Further, the present invention encloses within its scope and purview, any structural alternative(s) and/or any functional equivalent(s) even though such structural alternative(s) and/or any functional equivalent(s) are not mentioned explicitly herein or elsewhere, in the present disclosure. The present invention therefore encompasses also, any improvisation(s)/modification(s) applied to the structural alternative(s)/functional alternative(s) within its scope and purview. The present invention may be embodied in other specific form(s) without departing from the spirit or essential attributes thereof.
Throughout this specification, the use of the word "comprise" and variations such as "comprises" and "comprising" may imply the inclusion of an element or elements not specifically recited.
The terms hub motor and stator are used interchangeably in the present invention.
The present invention relates to automobile industry, particularly to a novel power-driven vehicle wheel particularly a wheel for a two wheeler with advantage such that while drilling side cover fixing threaded holes (4) , prevents puncturing inner and outer diameter of the expanded rotor ring (2). In reference to Figures 1 and 2, in one embodiment of the present invention comprises a power-driven vehicle wheel of the present invention comprises of a rim (1), an expanded rotor ring (2) having a magnet (3) and one or more side cover fixing threaded holes (4), a hub motor or stator (5), and a slot (6) in accordance with the expanded rotor ring (2) which is securely welded on the inner circumference of the rim (1). The side cover fixing threaded holes (4) are used to fit hub cover on the stator/hub motor (5) to make hub motor dust-proof/water-proof.

The present invention in various embodiments comprises:
The rotor ring (2) is configured to maintain continuous air gap between magnet (3) and hub motor or stator (5), also the slot (6) disposed on the entire circumference of the rotor ring on the hub motor or stator (5) side of the rotor ring (2), between the inner ends of the threaded holes(4). The base of the rotor ring (2) comprises a slot (06) on the entire circumference, the width of the slot (6) configures the magnets (3) to completely fill the slot (7), and
the depth of the slot (7) configures the magnets (4) to dispose partially inside and partially outside the slot (7), thereby resulting in an air gap between the magnets (3) and the hub motor (6) to perform drilling side cover threaded hole fixing (4) without puncturing inner and outer diameter of the expanded rotor ring (2).
The rotor ring (2) is welded on the inner circumference of the rim and the stator/hub motor (5) is placed inside the rotor ring (2) with an air gap between rotor ring (2) and stator/hub motor (5).
Working:
The present invention works based on the principle of electromagnetic induction or similar to the working of an electric motor. The major difference between electric motor and hub motor is the working part, Moreover, the working of an electric motor and a hub motor is that, in electric motor, the outer portion is stationary (stator) and the inner portion rotates (rotor). On the other hand, in hub motors, the inner portion is stationary (stator) and the outer portion rotates (rotor ring with rim).
The expanded rotor ring (3) in a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises an increased thickness (t) and width (w), a slot (6) in cut from inside the expanded rotor ring (02) is in a radial direction such that the slot (06) lies on the entire circumference of the rotor ring on the stator side of the rotor ring, and between the inner ends of the side cover threaded holes fixing (04) which is drilled on both sides of the rotor ring (02), hereby the width of the slot (06) is such that magnets (03) sit in the slot (06) completely and the depth of the slot (3a-3b) is such that the magnet (4) when placed partially inside the slot (7) and partially outside the slot (7) creating a proper gap between the magnets (03) and the hub motor (05) thereby increased thickness of the rotor ring (3) facilitates sufficient area for drilling of plurality of side cover fixing threaded holes (5) without puncturing inner and outer diameter of rotor ring (3)
In one embodiment, the present invention is disclosed a novel power-driven wheel (100) for a two wheeler, comprising:
a) a rim (1);
b) an expanded rotor ring (2) having magnets (3) and one or more side cover fixing threaded hole (4);
c) a hub motor or stator (5), and
d) a slot (6),
wherein the expanded rotor ring (02) is securely welded on the inner circumference of the rim (01) through threaded hole (4),
whereint the rotor ring (2) is configured to maintain continuous air gap between magnet (3) and hub motor or stator (5), wherein the slot (6) disposed on the entire circumference of the rotor ring (2) on the hub motor or stator (5) side of the rotor ring (2), between the inner ends of the threaded hole (4), the width of the slot (6) configures the magnets (3) to completely fill the slot (7), and the depth of the slot (7) configures the magnets (3) to dispose partially inside and partially outside the slot (7), thereby resulting in an air gap between the magnets (3) and the hub motor (6) to perform drilling side cover threaded hole (4) without puncturing inner and outer diameter of the expanded rotor ring (2).

In accordance with the present invention, the magnets (3) are attached to the inner circumference of the expanded rotor ring (2).
In accordance with the present invention, threaded holes (4) are blind holes arranged along the axial direction of the expanded rotor ring (2).
In accordance with the present invention, the stator / hub motor (5) is placed inside the rotor ring (2) which is connected to the axle of the wheel.
In accordance with the present invention, the stator / hub motor is in stationary portion connected on the wheel axle, the rotor ring is rotating with rim and tire on the circumference of the stator/hub motor
In one of the preffered embodiment of the present invention, the thickness t or (3a) between the both surfaces the inner towards the stator and outer towards the rim is greater than or equal to 1.5 mm.
In one of the epreffered embodiment of the present invention, the thickness of the rotor ring (2) is in the range of 2mm – 25mm.
In accordance with the present invention, the distance between the bottom of slot (6) and rotor ring outer diameter (3a) or also defined as the distance between the stator side and the rim side of the rotor ring is less than the total thickness (3a) of the rotor ring (2). In exemplary embodiment the distance d of 3b is less than or equal to 1.5 mm. The thickness of the rotor ring 3a is about 2-25 mm and the width w or 3c of the rotor ring is about 15mm to 75 mm.
In accordance with the present invention, the width (3c) of the rotor ring (2) is in the range of 15mm – 75mm.
In another exemplary embodiment, the same rim, rotor and a bigger stator or hub motor could be assembled. It is imperative for the smooth functioning of the hub motor that a “constant air gap (g)” is maintained. Further in manufacturing of the wheel wherein a hub motor could be of a size, the present invention solves the fitment issue. Here, the thickness t or 3a is increased, a slot 6 is manufactured in the inner diamenter or the stator side of the rotor ring. The magnet is configured t fit in the slot (06), and the increase in thickness of the rotor ring helps to provide better tapping cover fitment or drilling of plurality of side cover fixing threaded holes without puncturing inner and outer diameter of the expanded rotor ring. The invention particularly addresses the issue of maintaining constant air gap by increasing thickness, 3a so that sufficient area is provided for a hole to be drilled. If the thickness of ring is standard, there is no gap for drilling of holes, this is a manufacturing concern, which is addressed by the present invention. So, that drilling can be done, without punctureing, and thus the air gap is maintained.
A bigger motor hub cannot be fixed in the rotor ring, this invention address the shortcoming of the prior art.

WE CLAIM :
1. A power-driven wheel (100) for a two wheeler, comprises:
a) a rim (1);
b) an expanded rotor ring (2) having magnets (3) and one or more side cover fixing threaded hole (4);
c) a hub motor or stator (5), and
d) a slot (6),
wherein the expanded rotor ring (2) is securely welded on the inner circumference of the rim (1),
characterized in that the rotor ring (2) is configured to maintain continuous air gap between magnets (3) and hub motor or stator (5), wherein the slot (6) disposed on the entire circumference of the rotor ring (2) on the hub motor or stator (5) side of the rotor ring (2), between the inner ends of the threaded holes (4), the width of the slot (6) configured to house the magnet (3), completely fill the slot (7) lengthwise and the depth of the slot (7) configured to dispose the magnet (3) partially inside and partially outside the slot (7), thereby resulting in an air gap between the magnets (3) and the hub motor (6) to perform drilling of side cover fixing threaded holes (4) without puncturing inner and outer diameter of the expanded rotor ring (2).

2. The power-driven wheel (100) for a two wheeler as claimed in claim 1, wherein in the magnets (3) are attached to the entire inner circumference of the expanded rotor ring (2).

3. The power-driven wheel (100) for a two wheeler as claimed in claim 1, wherein the threaded holes (4) are blind holes arranged along the axial direction of the expanded rotor ring (2).

4. The power-driven wheel (100) for a two wheeler as claimed in claim 1, wherein the stator / hub motor (5) is placed inside the rotor ring (2) which is connected to the axle of the wheel.

5. The power-driven wheel (100) for a two wheeler as claimed in claim 1, wherein the stator / hub motor (5) is in stationary portion connected on the wheel axle, the rotor ring is rotating with rim and tire on the circumference of the stator/hub motor.

6. The power-driven wheel (100) for a two wheeler as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said distance (3b) between the bottom of slot (6) on the stator side and rotor ring outer diameter is greater than or equal to 1.5 mm.

7. The power-driven wheel (100) for a two wheeler as claimed in claim 1, wherein the thickness (3a) of the rotor ring (2) is in the range of 2mm – 25mm.

8. The power-driven wheel (100) for a two wheeler as claimed in claim 1, wherein the distance (3b) between the bottom of slot (6) and rotor ring outer diameter is less than the total thickness (3a) of the rotor ring (2).

9. The power driven wheel (100) for a two wheeler as claimed in claim 1, wherein the width (3c) of the rotor ring (2) is in the range of 15mm – 75mm.
