(Fig. 1)
FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to improved partitions for four wheeler cargo vehicle. This is particularly related to a removable and openable type partition wherein it is not possible to inspect the engine & its surrounding parts (Engine mounted under front seat) without opening the front seat mtg bolts.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION AND PRIOR ART
In conventional partitions which are being used in 4-wheeler cargo vehicles, partition needs to be unmounted from the vehicle (where engine is mounted under the front seat) in case of engine & its surrounding checks. It is very difficult in regular production to unmount partition every time when an engine check is required. Therefore there comes a requirement of openable door structure type partition for vehicles in which engine is placed in the underbody area.
Conventionally, fixed type partition is manufactured using steel sheet, aluminium and fiberglass, which are provided to confine cargo in the proper area in case of accident, promotion of security and attempt to maintain a temperature control in the driver compartment. A window is provided in these partitions which provides a clear unobstructed view of the rear. However, these are expensive and heavy in weight.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
An object of the present invention is to provide improved partition for four wheeler cargo vehicle which is light in weight.
Another object of the present invention is to provide improved partition for four wheeler cargo vehicle which is cost effective.
Further object of the present invention is to provide improved partition for four wheeler cargo vehicle which does not require usage of window as it provides a clear unobstructed rear view due to usage of wire mesh.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide improved partition for four wheeler cargo vehicle which is simple in construction and effective.
Further object of the present invention is to provide improved partition for four wheeler cargo vehicle for increasing safety of passengers during sudden braking/stopping & optimizing the luggage area.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
According to this invention, there is provided Improved partitions for four wheeler cargo vehicle comprising of outer partition frame bolted to vehicle & inner partition door frame welded to outer partition b/w hinges wherein said hinges allow door to swing & stoppers (8) are provided on outer partition frame to stop door while closing.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
Further objects and advantages of this invention will be more apparent from the ensuing description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and wherein:
Fig. 1 shows: present invention.
Fig. 2 shows: an exploded view for (a) partition mounting on body panel with the help of Bolt, partition mounting & (b) Lock set mounting on partition with the help of Bolt, partition door lock.
Fig. 3 shows: a sectional view of partition comp, driver cabin, seat assy front, R/L, engine set & Frame assy, CNG cylinder.
DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS:
The present invention discloses a removable & openable type partition for the interior of Cargo type vehicle made of wire mesh, pipe, steel sheet and locks and extending transversely from side to side and from the roof to the Panel, luggage floor with the partition being positioned directly behind the driver and passenger seats so as to give maximum cargo space in the rear compartment of the vehicle.
It is fixed to the B-pillar inner panel on Side body of four-wheeler automobile so as to create a division b/w passenger & luggage compartment. The main purpose of this partition is to confine cargo in the proper area in case of sudden braking or accidents in order to protect driver & co-driver.
In the present invention, the openable type door structure provides ease of engine check by folding of seat. This partition doesn't obstruct driver rear side view as made by wire mesh.
Now, reference may be made to fig. 1 indicating the present invention which is a combination of the following components:
Fig. 1
1. Outer, frame partition.
2. Inner, frame partition door.
3. Hinges for movement of partition door.
4. Partition mesh.
5. Hook, partition door lock.
6. Extension pipe for partition door.
7. Reinf & MTG BKT for partition lock.
8. Partition door stopper.
9. Stay, Body MTG.
The present invention discloses a mountable & demountable partition structure specially used for CARGO vehicles. It is bolted onto the B-pillar inner panel on Side body area of 4-wheeler automobile to create a division between passenger & luggage compartments. Its main function is to protect driver & co-driver when any sudden braking/stop takes place & luggage inside the vehicle tends to move in the forward direction due to inertia. Secondary function is to create optimized luggage area by dividing luggage & passenger side.
Overall structure is made of wire mesh (4) & pipe structure (1, 2 & 6)for a lighter weight. Outer partition frame (1) is bolted to vehicle & inner partition door frame (2) is welded to outer partition b/w hinges (3). Said hinges (3) allow door to swing & stoppers (8) are provided on outer partition frame (1) to stop door while closing. The door is held stationary with the help of locks (fig. 2) which in turn are clamped with hooks (5) mounted on inner partition door frame. This overall structure of
PARTITION COMP DRIVER CABIN BACK is mounted onto the B-pillar through Stay, Body mounting (9).
Fig. 2 shows exploded view of partition mounting on body panel with the help of bolt s lock set.
Fig. 3 indicates sectional view of partition comp, driver cabin, seat assy Fr, R/L & engine set. It also explains movement of partition for folding seat during engine check.
Door structure provides ease of engine check by folding of seat (Fig. 3). This partition does not obstruct diver's rear field of vision.
The advantageous features of the invention over prior art
• It is light in weight which reduces the total weight of the vehicle.
• This is simple in construction and cost effective.
• This allows the inspection of engine and surrounding parts in vehicles where the engine is beneath front seat.
• This does not require the usage of window as it provides a clear unobstructed rear view due to usage of wire mesh.
• This allows flexibility of fitment in production line.
It is to be noted that the present invention is susceptible to modifications, adaptations and changes by those skilled in the art. Such variant embodiments employing the concepts and features of this invention are intended to be within the scope of the present invention, which is further set forth under the following claims:-
WE CLAIM:
