AN IMPROVED TECHNOLOGY

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention in general relates to a synergistic composition for curing of psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases and in particular, to a composition derived from natural and commonly available products, said composition being effective in treatment of Psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

Psoriasis is a common skin condition that causes rapid skin cell reproduction resulting in red, dry patches of thickened skin. The dry flakes and skin scales are known to be results of probable rapid build up of skin cells. Psoriasis commonly affects the skin of the elbows, knees, and scalp. The exact cause of psoriasis is not known. It is believed that a combination of several factors contributes to the development of this disease. There may be a combination of factors, including genetic predisposition and environmental factors.

Multidisciplinary scientific investigations are making best efforts to combat this disease, but the sure-shot, the perfect cure is yet to be deciphered.

Psoriasis typically looks like red or pink areas of thickened, raised, and dry skin. It classically affects areas over the elbows, knees, and scalp. Essentially any body area may be involved. It tends to be more common in areas of trauma, repeat rubbing, use, or abrasions.

There are some treatment commonly available like topical creams, lotion or light treatment, pills etc. Oral Methotrexate, some steroids like Calcipotriene (Dovonex) are often used in this purpose. But these medicines are not 100% safe as these are known to cause severe side effects, in the long run. Another particularly effective approach to psoriasis has been commonly called "rotational" therapy. This is a common practice among some dermatologists who recommend changing cycles of psoriasis treatments, every six to twenty four months.

Recently, a greater emphasis has been given towards the researches on complementary and alternative therapies that deal with different types of skin disease including Psoriasis.

Several studies have been conducted on herbs for their therapeutic property. Ayurveda, a traditional Indian tool has been successfully used for various skin diseases can also be effective for the treatment of Psoriasis.

In brief, various natural products and the very commonly available products have been reported through scientific research to possess some therapeutic properties for treatment of Psoriasis. However, obtaining a synergistic composition from natural and commonly available products for treatment of various skin diseases such as Psoriasis in a sacrosanct manner, is yet to be achieved. The prior art compositions are known to have some deficiency or the other, particularly in respect of substantial curing of the disease.

Accordingly, there is a long felt need to obtain a synergistic composition comprising optimum proportions of ingredients derived from natural and commonly available products, which can be effectively applied for substantial curing of Psoriasis and other skin diseases/allergies.

The present invention meets the aforesaid long felt need.

All through out the specification including the claims, the words "ayurvedic", "natural products", "extract", "cream", "Psoriasis", "skin disease", "bag", "allergies" are to be interpreted in the broadest sense of the respective terms and includes all similar items in the field known by other terms, as may be clear to persons skilled in the art. Restriction/limitation, if any, referred to in the specification, is solely by way of example and understanding the present invention.

Further, hereinbefore and hereinafter, the composition in accordance with the present invention has been described with reference to psoriasis for understanding only and not by way of any limitation. It should be understood to persons skilled in the art that the present invention is equally applicable on other skin diseases and allergies.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

It is the principal object of the present invention to provide a synergistic composition derived from natural and commonly available products, for treatment of Psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases, in a sacrosanct manner.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a synergistic composition that acts on the viruses attacking the skin.

It is a further object of the present invention to provide a synergistic composition for effective correction of Psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases in patients, which on application, does not reveal any side effect.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a synergistic composition, which is available at reasonable cost.

It is a further object of the present invention to provide proper treatment to patients suffering from psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases for effective correction of all skin problems , by application of composition comprising an optimum combination of natural and commonly available products, said combination being adapted for external use.

How the foregoing objects are achieved and the other aspects of the present invention will be clear from the following description, which is purely by way of understanding and not by way of any sort of limitation.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly the present invention provides a composition for treatment of Psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases including optimally effective proportions of suitable ingredients such as herein described, said ingredients including:

i) Ringworm Shurp
ii) Red Ochre
iii) Ventilago Maderaspatona
iv) Mercuric Oxide

In accordance with preferred embodiments of the composition of the present invention:
-said ingredients further include:

i) Pin Oil
ii) Honey Wax
iii) Litharge
iv) Colophyllum or Inophyllum
v) White dammal
vi) Sulphur
vii) Arsenium Abrum

-said ingredients are applied as cream and/or gel;

-the proportions by weight in which said ingredients are applied are as follows:

i) Ringworm Shurp- 0.984%
ii) Red Ochre- 0.984%
iii) Mercuric Oxide -0.984%
iv) Ventilago Maderaspatona- 0.984%
v) Pin Oil- 72.9%
vi) Honey Wax- 18.5%
vii) Litharge- 0.984%
viii) Colophyllum or Inophyllum- 0.984%
ix) White dammal- 0.984%
x) Sulphur- 0.984%
xi) Arsenium Abrum- 0.984%

The present invention also provides a method for preparation of a composition for curing of various skin diseases, wherein said composition includes optimally effective proportions of suitable ingredients, said ingredients including:

i) Ringworm Shurp
ii) Red Ochre
iii) Mercuric Oxide
iv) Ventilago Maderaspatona
v) Pin Oil
vi) Honey Wax
vii) Litharge
viii) Colophyllum or Inophyllum
ix) White dammal
x) Sulphur
xi) Arsenium Abrum

wherein said method includes mixing the ingredients in a bag, putting the same in a container covered with large quantity of calcium carbonate, followed by mixing it with water and keeping the mixture for a suitable duration, washing the mixture so obtained with pure water, drying the same so as to form a powder.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The following describes some preferred embodiments and examples of the present invention, which are purely for the sake of understanding the performance of the invention, and not by way of any sort of limitation.

As stated under the heading "BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION" the conventional drugs for treatment of Psoriasis have been the cause of immense public dissatisfaction due to the severe side effects and involvement of high cost. Furthermore, although, various chemical entities have been reported through scientific research for treatment of Psoriasis, a synergistic composition comprising of optimum proportions of ingredients derived from various natural and commonly available products in combination, to provide sacrosanct treatment of Psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases associated therewith, was very much lacking. The composition according to the present invention is immaculately effective in treatment of Psoriasis, is reasonably cheap and has no side effects. This is exactly what the present invention provides.

The present invention is based on the results deciphered through extensive research and the conclusion therefrom, that Psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases, can be corrected substantially by applying a synergistic composition derived from various natural and commonly available products.

The present invention provides a composition for treatment of patients suffering from various types of skin disease such as Psoriasis, derived from effective proportions of suitable ingredients, said ingredients including:

i) Ringworm Shurp
ii) Red Ochre
iii) Ventilago Maderaspatona
iv) Mercuric Oxide
v) Pin Oil
vi) Honey Wax
vii) Litharge
viii) Colophyllum or Inophyllum
ix) White dammal
x) Sulphur
xi) Arsenium Abrum

The ingredients are applied in cream and/or gel form to achieve the objectives of the invention.

Ventilago Maderaspatona is obtained from roots of the naturally occurring plant of the particular species.

The exemplary proportions by weight in which the ingredients are applied as follows:

i) Ringworm Shurp- 0.984%
ii) Red Ochre- 0.984%
iii) Mercuric Oxide -0.984%
iv) Ventilago Maderaspatona- 0.984%
v) Pin Oil- 72.9%
vi) Honey Wax- 18.5%
vii) Litharge- 0.984%
viii) Colophyllum or Inophyllum- 0.984%
ix) White dammal- 0.984%
x) Sulphur- 0.984%
xi) Arsenium Abrum- 0.984%

The composition may be applied with bee honey as a non-limiting excipient.

The manufacturing method includes mixing the ingredients in a sunny bag, putting the same in the container covered with large quantity of calcium carbonate (lOKgs), followed by mixing it with water and keeping it for a substantial duration say for 7 days. After 7 days the mixture so obtained is washed with pure water and dried in sunlight so as to form a powder. Alternatively, there may be a further step of mixing the powder in pin oil and heating for say 3 hours, to form the requisite medicine for its application to the patients.

The ingredients of the synergistic composition in accordance with the present invention have been arrived at through a rigorous course of experimentation and analysis. The quality of the individual ingredients incorporated in the composition in accordance with the present invention, is also based on extensive research work.

It has been surprisingly deciphered by such experimentation and research that the combination of the ingredients as described herein, applied in combination show the remarkable capacity of substantially curing psoriasis and the allergies/skin diseases associated therewith. Thus, effective treatment of Psoriasis is achieved in a technically effective and cost effective manner without exhibition of any severe side effect. This technical advancement and economic significance was hitherto not known or conceived by persons skilled in the art.

The different ingredients combined in effective proportions yield the following combined effects on applying to patients suffering from various types of Psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases.

i) acts on the viruses ii) cure all kind of allergies including the Psoriasis, ii) normalizes the rapid skin cell growth, iv) gives soothing effect on skin, v) reduces the dryness of skin
The effectiveness and uniqueness of the present invention have been exemplified in the following examples, which are by way of understanding only and not by way of any sort of limitation. Further, the following details are those of experimental trial of the composition of the present invention.

Example 1: A male (aged 42) residing at Chennai, was suffering from cracks on his foot. After applying the medicine, in accordance with the present invention as an experimental trial, in proper dose for thirty days, his condition improved substantially. The cure percentage was 80.

Example 2: A male (aged 30) residing at Vellore, Tamil Nadu, had white patches of almost one rupee coin size all around his body. After applying the medicine, in accordance with the present invention as an experimental trial, in proper dose for ninety days, his condition improved substantially. The cure percentage was 80.

Example 3: A male (aged 22) residing at Erode was suffering from itching in scalp. After applying the medicine, in accordance with the present invention as an experimental trial, in proper dose for ninety days, he was cured. The cure percentage was 80.

The examples, the test results and the description in general as hereinbefore all unequivocally establish the surprising effect as contemplated hereinbefore.

The present invention has been described with reference to some examples and preferred embodiments, purely for the sake of understanding and not by way of any limitation and the present invention includes all legitimate developments within the scope of what has been described hereinbefore and claimed in the appended claims.

WE CLAIM:

1. A composition for treatment of Psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases including optimally effective proportions of suitable ingredients such as herein described, said ingredients including:

i) Ringworm Shurp
ii) Red Ochre
iii) Ventilago Maderaspatona
iv) Mercuric Oxide

2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein said ingredients further include:

i) Pin Oil
ii) Honey Wax
iii) Litharge
iv) Colophyllum or Inophyllum
v) White dammal
vi) Sulphur
vii) Arsenium Abrum

3. The composition as claimed in any preceding claim wherein said ingredients are applied as cream and/or gel.

4. The composition as claimed in claims 1 to 3, wherein the proportions by weight in which said ingredients are applied are as follows:

i) Ringworm Shurp- 0.984%
ii) Red Ochre- 0.984%
iii) Mercuric Oxide -0.984%
iv) Ventilago Maderaspatona- 0.984%
v) Pin Oil- 72.9%
vi) Honey Wax- 18.5%
vii) Litharge- 0.984%
viii) Colophyllum or Inophyllum- 0.984%
ix) White dammal- 0.984%
x) Sulphur- 0.984%
xi) Arsenium Abrum- 0.984%

5. A method for preparation of a composition for curing of various skin diseases , wherein said composition includes optimally effective proportions of suitable ingredients, said ingredients including:

i) Ringworm Shurp
ii) Red Ochre
iii) Mercuric Oxide
iv) Ventilago Maderaspatona
v) Pin Oil
vi) Honey Wax
vii) Litharge
viii) Colophyllum or Inophyllum
ix) White dammal
x) Sulphur
xi) Arsenium Abrum

wherein said method includes mixing the ingredients in a bag, putting the same in a container covered with large quantity of calcium carbonate, followed by mixing it with water and keeping the mixture for a suitable duration, washing the mixture so obtained with pure water, drying the same so as to form a powder.

6. The method as claimed in claim 5 wherein said duration is approximately seven days and said drying is done in sunlight.

7. The method as claimed in claim 5 further including blending said powder in pin oil and heating the same substantially.

8. The method as claimed in claim 5 wherein said heating is done for three hours.

9. A composition for treatment of Psoriasis and other allergies/skin diseases, substantially as herein described particularly with reference to the foregoing examples.

10. A method for preparation of a composition for treatment of various skin diseases, substantially as herein described particularly with reference to the foregoing examples.
