AN IMPROVED TEXTILE DRAWING MACHINE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an improved construction of spinning preparatory machine. More particularly, the present invention relates to an overhead creel arrangement of a spinning preparatory machine such as draw frame.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Generally, a textile machine such as draw frame comprises three zones namely a feeding zone, drafting zone and delivery zone. A creel arrangement is provided in the feed zone for feeding slivers from plurality of feed sliver cans arranged on either side of a feeding device to inlet rollers of the draw frame. In drafting zone, a drafting arrangement is arranged downstream of the inlet rollers and the material supplied in the form of slivers is processed by the drafting arrangement and delivered in the form of single sliver and deposited into the sliver cans arranged beneath a coiler arrangement. When a predetermined length of the sliver is filled into the sliver can, the filled can is replaced by an empty can by an auto doffing arrangement provided in the draw frame.
The creel arrangement in the drawing machines are provided for feeding slivers from the plurality of feed sliver cans arranged on either side of the feeding device to the inlet arrangement of the textile machine. The creel is arranged in a longitudinal direction of the machine and a plurality of feed rollers and contact rollers are provided on either side of the creel. The sliver cans are positioned underneath the feed rollers provided on the creel. The slivers from the each feed can are fed into the feed roller and delivered to the pair of inlet rollers which are arranged at the feed end of the textile machine. The feed rollers and the inlet rollers are driven by the drive arrangement of the textile machine.
In the existing draw frames, the creel zone is arranged at the feed end of the machine in a longitudinal direction which occupies substantial floor space. Since the sliver cans are arranged in a longitudinal direction, the travel distance of the slivers varies from can to can which results in inconsistency in quality of the delivery material. The longitudinal creel arrangement leads to unnecessary material transportation and increased material handling time. In addition to that, a separate driving arrangement is required for driving the feed rollers of the creel which are disadvantageous.
There has thus been a persistent need to develop a draw frame that would occupy lesser floor space, particularly for feeding the slivers and the present invention provides an improved draw frame that would overcome all disadvantages present in the existing textile draw frames.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is contrived in consideration of these circumstances, and is intended to provide a textile draw frame which occupies lesser floor space as compared to the prior art machines.
Another object of the present invention is directed to provide a textile draw frame with improved creel arrangement to minimize the travel distance of the sliver compared to the prior art machines.
Yet another object of the present invention is directed to provide a textile draw frame with improved creel arrangement that eliminates the driving arrangement for feed rollers which are essentially required in the prior art machines.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The above objects are achieved by providing an improved drawing machine comprising a creel arrangement, a main head, sliver input rollers to feed the slivers into the drafting zone, a drafting unit for drafting and combining a simultaneously drawn plurality of slivers into a single outputted sliver, delivery calender roller and coiler arrangement to gather the said single outputted sliver, a doffing mechanism to replace the filled can and a creel for feeding the slivers, wherein said creel arrangement is mounted over the main head and the feed sliver cans are arranged on either side of the main head.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, the guide means are mounted on the tubular rods of creel frame in a freely rotatable manner and frictionally driven by sliver material. Alternatively, said guiding means are rigidly fixed on each tubular rod and said tubular rod is driven by suitable driving arrangement such as gears, belt or motor.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, the drafting zone is being arranged over the main head in a vertical manner or at any angle between 0 and 90 degree corresponding to the ground.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, a linear doffing mechanism is provided for replacing the full can by an empty can.
These and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the ensuing detailed description of the invention taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Fig 1 and la of the drawings schematically illustrates an existing arrangement of the textile draw frame. The existing draw frame comprising three zones namely feeding zone (1), drafting zone (2) and delivery zone (3). A creel arrangement is provided for feeding slivers (4) from a plurality of feed sliver cans (5,5',5",5"'..) to the inlet rollers (6) of the draw frame. The drafting arrangement is arranged downstream of the inlet rollers (6) and the material supplied in the form of slivers are processed by means of drafting arrangement (2) and delivered in the form of single sliver and deposited into the sliver cans (8) arranged beneath the coiler arrangement (7). The empty reserve cans (9) are placed on a rail. When a predetermined length of the sliver is filled into the sliver can, the filled can is replaced by an empty can by an auto doffing arrangement provided in the draw frame.
Fig 2 and Fig 3 illustrates an embodiment of the present invention. The improved textile draw frame also comprising three zones namely feeding zone (1) drafting zone (2) and delivery zone (3). The feeding zone (1) consists of a creel arrangement (11) which is mounted over the main head (21) of the draw frame. The creel arrangement (11) includes a creel frame (12) which is constructed with plurality of tubular rods (15). The creel frame (12) is positioned at a predetermined height from the top of the main head (21) by using plurality of support legs (13). The bottom end (13a) of the support legs (13) is rigidly mounted on the each top comer of the main head (21) using connecting means. The creel frame (12) is adjustably mounted on the top end (13b) of the support legs (13). Adjusting means (14) are provided in the top end (13b) of the each support leg (13) to adjust the height of the creel frame (12). Alliteratively, the adjusting means can be provided in the bottom portion (13a) of the support leg (13). Plurality of guide means (16) are mounted on each tubular rod (15). The sliver material passes through the guide means (16) and fed into the sliver input rollers (17).
According to the embodiment of the present invention. Fig 2 shows the plurality of feed sliver cans (5, 5', 5", 5"'..) arranged on either side of the main head (21) of the draw frame and the slivers (4) from each feed can are fed into the drafting zone (2) through the creel arrangement (11).
According to another embodiment of the present invention, the guide means (16) are mounted on the creel frame (12) in a freely rotatable manner and frictionally driven by sliver material. Alliteratively, said guiding means (16) are rigidly fixed on each tubular rod (15) and said tubular rod is driven by suitable driving arrangement such as gears, belt or motor.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in Fig 2, the drafting zone (2) is being arranged over the main head (21) in a vertical manner or at any angle between 0 and 90 degree corresponding to the ground.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, a linear doffing mechanism is provided for replacing the full can by an empty can. The drafted sliver material is being deposited into the sliver can (8) through delivery calender roller and coiler arrangement (18). When the predetermined length of the sliver is filled into the sliver can (8), it is replaced by an empty reserve can (9) and the filled can is moved to the position (10) by the linear doffing mechanism provided in the draw frame.
The improved construction of textile drawing machine would occupy substantially lesser floor space compared to the existing draw frames. The length of the machine is reduced by eliminating lengthy creel arrangement which results in reduction of unnecessary material transportation and material handling time. The travel distance of each slivers are equal and hence the quality of delivered sliver material are considerably improved. The guide means which are mounted on the creel frame in a freely rotatable manner and frictionally driven by sliver material eliminates the separate driving arrangement for the creel.
Since other modifications and changes to fit particular requirements and environments will be apparent to those skilled in the art, the invention is not considered limited as described by the present preferred embodiments which have been chosen for purposes of disclosure, and covers all changes and modifications which do not constitute departure from the spirit and scope of this invention.
