Abstract: The present invention discloses a work control system. The work control system provides an arrangement of a steering wheel and a control lever to set optimum position for the operator by using a double bell crank operating lever mechanism. The double bell crank lever mechanism is introduced to make control lever operation smoother resulting in reduction of operating effort from 4.5 Kg to 2.0 Kg.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS AND PRIORITY
[001] This patent application claims priority from Indian Provisional Application 202041003102 filed on January 23, 2020.
TECHNICAL FIELD
[002] The present subject matter described herein, in general, relates to a improved work control system for a motor grader.
BACKGROUND
[003] Motor grader is a self-propelled, versatile machine widely used for haul roads construction and maintenance, mining application, Grading, Snow removal, Bank cutting, Front Dozing, Ripping, Scarifying operations, etc. The work attachments, like blade, front dozer, ripper and scarified are operated using mechanical linkages to control the hydraulic control valves. Maximum Operating effort permitted to pull the control lever is 4.5 Kg based on field study of the equipment. The present invention is to improve operating efforts to operate the control lever.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[004] It is an object of the present invention to achieve smooth and effortless lever mechanism to pull the lever (From 4.5 Kg to 2 Kg).
[005] It is an object of the present invention to reduce operator fatigue to enable longer hours of continuous operation.
[006] It is an object of the present invention to achieve zone of reach and zone of comfort as per relevant standards.
[007] It is an object of the present invention to arrive at optimized geometry in bell crank lever mechanism to achieve effortless operation.

[009] The present invention discloses a work control system. The work control system provides an arrangement of a steering wheel and a control lever to set optimum position for the operator by using a double bell crank operating lever mechanism. The double bell crank lever mechanism is introduced to make control lever operation smoother resulting in reduction of Operating effort from 4.5 Kg to 2.0 Kg.

[0019] Referring now to figure 1 to 4, in one aspect of present invention, a work control system (100) for a motor grader (equipment not shown) is disclosed. The work control system (100) comprises a console assembly (1), a cover fitted with fasteners to accommodate the control panel cover (2), an instrumentation panel (3) to accommodate LCD display, ammeter, speedometer, and rocker switches are not shown in the figure 1. A plurality of brackets (4) bolted to the cabin floor of the motor grader, a bell crank lever (5), a lever connecting rod (6) and yoke (7) are used to connect the double bell crank operating lever (8). An independent shaft (9) is used to arrange the spacer (10) and all the bell crank levers which consist of a knob (11) to actuate work control system through the bell crank lever (5). Bolts (12) are used at both end of independent shaft to hold the bell crank lever (5). A pin (13), H type yoke (14) connect the bell crank lever (5) and a control valve (20). Bolt (15) and nut (16) connects the lever connecting rod (6) and the bell crank lever (5). A foot operated pedal (17), a tilting unit (18) used to tilt and adjust the console box. With this arrangement, a steering wheel (19) and bell crank operating lever (8) can be set to the optimum position for the operator. Objects (21) and (22) are covers for the console assembly (1).
[0020] Force calculation has been made using mathematical formula of double bell crank lever and arrived at optimized geometry of double bell crank lever mechanism which has been introduced to reduce the effort from 4.5 Kg to 2.0 Kg. to operate the work attachments.
[0021] A work control system for motor grader comprising a console assembly (1) configured to accommodate a control panel cover (2) and an instrumentation panel (3) and a shifter assembly configured to set the steering wheel (19) and bell crank operating lever (8) at optimum operating position for the operator. The shifter assembly is configured with plurality of brackets (4) bolted to the cabin floor of the motor grader. The shifter assembly consists of a bell crank lever (5), lever connecting rod (6) and a yoke (7) to connect a double bell crank operating lever (8) for reducing the shifting effort. Bolts (12) are provided at both end of independent shaft for rotatable mounting the operating lever assembly to hold the bell crank lever (5). A H type yoke (14) is configured to connect the bell crank lever (5) and a control valve (20) through a pin (13). The lever connecting rod (6) and the bell crank lever (5) are connected through a bolt (15) and a nut (16). A foot operated pedal (17) and a tilting unit (18) is provided to tilt and adjust the console assembly (1). The console assembly (1) is configured with an object (21) and an object (22) as covers. The instrumentation panel (3) is configured to accommodate LCD display, ammeter, speedometer and rocker switches.

,CLAIMS:
1. A work control system for motor grader comprising:
a console assembly (1) configured to accommodate a control panel cover (2) and an instrumentation panel (3); and
a shifter assembly configured to set the steering wheel (19) and bell crank operating lever (8) at optimum operating position for the operator.
2. The work control system for motor grader as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said shifter assembly is configured with plurality of brackets (4) bolted to the cabin floor of the motor grader.
3. The work control system for motor grader as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said shifter assembly is configured with a bell crank lever (5), lever connecting rod (6) and a yoke (7) to connect a double bell crank operating lever (8) for reducing the shifting effort.

The work control system for motor grader as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said shifter assembly is configured with an independent shaft (9) to arrange the spacer (10) and the bell crank levers (5) are provided with a knob (11) for hand gripping and to actuate the work control system through the bell crank lever (5).
5. The work control system for motor grader as claimed in claim 1, wherein in the said shifter assembly, bolts (12) are provided at both end of independent shaft for rotatable mounting the operating lever assembly to hold the bell crank lever (5).
6. The work control system for motor grader as claimed in claim 1, wherein a H type yoke (14) is configured to connect the bell crank lever (5) and a control valve (20) through a pin (13).
7. The work control system for motor grader as claimed in claim 1, wherein the lever connecting rod (6) and the bell crank lever (5) are connected through a bolt (15) and a nut (16).
8. The work control system for motor grader as claimed in claim 1, wherein a foot operated pedal (17) and a tilting unit (18) is provided to tilt and adjust the console assembly (1).
9. The work control system for motor grader as claimed in claim 1, wherein said console assembly (1) is configured with an object (21) and an object (22) as covers.
10. The work control system for motor grader as claimed in claim 1, wherein the instrumentation panel (3) is configured to accommodate LCD display, ammeter, speedometer and rocker switches.
