Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for index cutting in diamond shape and mounting it in watch dial in an easy and effective manner.
FIELD OF INVENTION:

Hence an improved system is required which can ease the process and increase the production of indexes with diamond cutting
[019] In order to overcome above listed prior art, the present invention aims to provide a system and method with index holding fixture along with universal fixture to cut the indexes in auto mode using a diamond cutting tool in an easy and effective manner.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
[020] The principal object of the present invention is to provide a system and method with index holding fixture along with universal fixture to cut the indexes in auto mode using a diamond cutting tool in an easy and effective manner.
[021] Another object of the present invention is to provide simple, easy and cost effective index cutting and mounting device, which increases the production.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
[022] The present invention provides a system and method to do the diamond cut on the index, by using the holding fixture to cut the indexes in auto mode using a diamond cutting tool in an easy and effective manner.
[023] The system comprises at least a control unit, servo motors, camera, different holding fixtures for holding diamond tool and indexes. With the help of CNC controls, we can set the position of fixture in X, Y direction and also fixture can rotate from 0 degree to 360 degree. With help of camera we can visualise the process in more effective manner.

[024] In the present system, Fixture -Figure 1 where indexes are fixed is fixed on shaft of universal fixture and this universal fixture contains 4 types of motion X, Y, W for positioning the index with diamond cut tool.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
[028] The present invention provides a system and method to do the diamond cut on the index, by using the holding fixture to cut the indexes in auto mode using a diamond cutting tool in an easy and effective manner.
[029] The system comprises at least a control unit, servo motors, camera, different holding fixtures for holding diamond tool and indexes. With the help of CNC controls, we can set the position of fixture in X, Y direction and also fixture have rotational motion which is denoted by W which present the degree of rotation from 0 degree to 360 degree.
[030] Figure 1 shows fixture in such a way that it can be easily clamp and unclamp from the universal fixture easily and quickly, without losing much time, also index position is placed in such manner so that we have exact distance from the center of fixture to index so that we can use this pitch directly in programming the machine for operation.
[031] Figure 2 shows diamond tool holder to hold in tool holder and holder is positioned from the center to center of motor spindle which is placed above the

index fixture (fig 1). With the help from rotation of the motor, diamond tool fixture is rotated at high RPM; also diamond tool holder has motion in Z axis along with rotation on high rpm. Universal fixture (Figure 2) is basically designed to hold the index holding fixture fig I from its center, and this fixture is connected with the servomotor to give rotational motion to the index holding fixture, so that all the indexes which placed on the periphery of the index holding fixture can be diamond cut This fixture also has one feature that it can be rotate up to 90degre in A axis, so that if index is placed on adjacent face of the index holding fixture it can be used to do the diamond facet.
[032] Firstly, all the indexes are fixed on index holding fixture at particular position as per the process requirement and that index holding fixture is placed on universal fixture. Now with the help of CNC codes, X, Y, W alignment of diamond tool holder and indexes are done for the further process. Also, Z axis motion is used to control the depth of cut on the indexes. Camera is used for the monitoring the diamond cutting process as the indexes are of very small size, so it can't be monitored from the naked eyes. Camera and visualizing display are used to give live motion of diamond cutting process to monitor whether the process is going as per the requirement or not.
[033] Thus, the index fixture and process is feasible for multiple cutting with diamond and makes the process easier. As there is less manual intervention, the production is increased.
[034] Index holder fixture aligns the indexes with diamond tool quickly.
[035] Numerous modifications and adaptations of the system of the present invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art, and thus it is intended by the appended claims to cover all such modifications and adaptations which fall within the true spirit and scope of this invention.
WE CLAIM:
I. A system and method with index holding fixture along with universal fixture to cut the indexes in auto mode using a diamond cutting tool in an easy and effective manner comprises at least a control unit, servo motor, camera, spindle loaded on universal fixture operated by spur gear and controlled by the said controller to rotate the fixture from 0 degree to 360 degree, special facet diamond cutting process, and camera to visualize the indexes on the display unit, characterized in that the index fixture, universal fixture and cutting tool both are movable and spur gears are connected with the universal fixture to get rotation at a specified degree of rotation; the index fixture is movable with the help of servo motor, which is controlled by said controller.
