PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the nature of this invention and the manner in which it is to be performed:

FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
This invention relates to the field of air guides and their fixtures for machines.
Particularly, this invention relates to fixing mechanism for fixing air guides to a frame of rotating machines.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
An HT/LT Machine comprises stator coil and rotor conductors. They heat up during the operation. In order to cool them, fans are used with air guides to reduce the heating effect . The air guide, typically, consists of two parts. A first part (upper part of air guide assembly) is a fixed part which gets bolted to an L shaped (mild steel) plate which further gets welded to a stator frame rib. A second part (lower part of air guide assembly) of the air guide is removable and it gets bolted to the first part through bolting means. Removal of this second part is required for repairing of rotor. Thus, there are provided two parts, one fixed (first) part, and another removable (second) part.
Typically, the bolting means is such that a first set of bolts and nuts fix the first part to an operative vertical section of the L shaped plate. A second set of bolts and nuts fix the second part to the operative lower part of the first part. The second part can be removed by removing the second bolt and nut, whereas the first part remains intact.

OBJECTS OF INVENTION :
An object of the invention is to provide an innovative air guide assembly for Rotating Machines which comprises half of the prior art's bolting assembly and reduces hardware components by 50 %.
Another object of the invention is to provide an innovative air guide assembly for Rotating Machines which reduce processing time reduction by 50 %.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide an innovative air guide assembly for Rotating Machines which can be used in all type of motors and can be implemented in all the motors.
Still another object of the invention is to provide an innovative air guide assembly for Rotating Machines in order to reduce the assembly time of the air guide to the motor by 50 %.
An additional object of the invention is to provide an innovative air guide assembly for Rotating Machines which reduces the maintenance cost,
Yet an additional object of the invention is to provide an innovative air guide assembly which is easier to mount and which makes it easy to remove the air guide from the motor.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
According to this invention, there is provided a fixing mechanism for fixing air guides to a frame of rotating machines, said air guide defined by an operative upper (first) part and an operative lower (second) part to form an air guide channel, said first part being coupled to a L-shaped plate for support at a pre-defined joint, and said second part being coupled to said first part, and subsequently to said L-shaped plate at same pre-defined joint.
Typically, said mechanism includes bolting means adapted to bolt said second part to said first part to said plate in a single coupling joint.
Typically, said bolting means includes bolt, nut, and washer.
Typically, said L-shaped plate is a mild steel plate.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS:
Figure 1 illustrates a fixing mechanism for fixing air guides to a frame of rotating machines, in accordance with the prior art.
The invention will now be described in relation to the accompanying drawings, in which:

Figure 2 illustrates a fixing mechanism for fixing air guides to a frame of rotating machines; and
Figure 3 illustrates a layout of the motor assembly with position of air
guides.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
Figure 1 illustrates a fixing mechanism for fixing air guides to a frame of rotating machines, in accordance with the prior art.
Typically, an air guide consists of two parts; a first part (10) is a fixed part which is connected to an L-shaped plate (14). Typically, the first part is an upper part of air guide assembly. Preferably, the L-shaped plate is a mild steel plate. This L-shaped plate, further, gets connected to a stator frame rib. The second part (12) of the air guide is removable and it gets connected to the first part. Typically, the second part is a lower part of air guide assembly. Removal of this second part is required for repairing of rotor. So there are two parts in the air guide.
Typically, the bolting means is such that a first set of bolts and nuts (16) fixes the first part to an operative vertical section of the L-shaped plate. A second set of bolts and nuts (18) fixes the second part to the operative lower part of the first part. The second part can be removed by removing the second bolt and nut, whereas the first part remains intact. The separate bolting arrangements are problematic in cases of dismantling.

According to the invention, there is provided a fixing mechanism (20) for fixing air guides to a frame of rotating machines which results in an innovative air guide assembly for Rotating Machines. Typically, said first part, said second part, and said L-shaped plate are cumulatively bolted at one common juncture by means of a bolting means (20). Reference numeral 20A refers to a bolt. Reference numeral 20B refers to a nut. Reference numeral 20C refers to a washer.
Figure 3 illustrates a layout of the motor assembly with position of air guides.
Reference numeral 52 refers to a fan of the motor assembly. Reference numeral 54 refers to a rotor of the motor assembly. Reference numeral 56 refers to a stator coil overhang of the motor assembly. Reference numeral 58 refers to air guide of the motor assembly. Reference numeral 60 refers to a stator portion of the motor assembly. Reference numeral 62 refers to a heat exchanger of the motor assembly.

We claim :
1. A fixing mechanism for fixing air guides to a frame of rotating machines, said air guide defined by an operative upper (first) part and an operative lower (second) part to form an air guide channel, said first part being coupled to a L-shaped plate for support at a predefined joint, and said second part being coupled to said first part, and subsequently to said L-shaped plate at same pre-defined joint.
2. A fixing mechanism as claimed in claim 1 wherein, said mechanism includes bolting means adapted to bolt said second part to said first part to said plate in a single coupling joint.
3. A fixing mechanism as claimed in claim 2 wherein, said bolting means includes bolt, nut, and washer.
4. A fixing mechanism as claimed in claim 1 wherein, said L-shaped plate is a mild steel plate.
