PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the nature of this invention and the manner in which it is to be performed:

Field of the Invention:
This invention relates to mechanical engineering.
Particularly, this invention relates to an integrated fastening element and a process for manufacturing the element thereof.
Background of the Invention:
Table, pedestal, and wall fans generally work on motors which are of induction type. These motors consist of two windings; one is a main winding and another is an auxiliary winding with the help of capacitor which gives a starting torque to a motor and the same starts to work which runs the whole fan. Also, a lever or a follower is provided in the motor which transmits power to the oscillation function; either through gear mechanism or through synchronous motor and it helps oscillation of fan at some angle.
In the prior art, oscillation is imparted to a fan with the help of a lever or a follower, an oscillating cam, a mounting cap and power is given through either gear mechanism or synchronous motor which runs the total mechanism for the oscillation of the fan. On one side, lever or follower is being connected to the mounting cap and on the other side, it is connected to the oscillating cam which oscillates as per the angle, the follower follows the path of the same and the fan starts to oscillate. On the oscillating cam side, lever or follower is connected with the help of separate screw, plain washer, and spring washer. During the assembly time, workman on the production shop may forget to put all three components (i.e. separate screw, plain washer, and spring washer) in the lever assembly with the motor and when such a fan goes to the dealer and an end customer operates the fan,

it was observed that after sometime, screw starts to come out from the lever and the fan does not work for oscillation.
Objects of the Invention:
An object of the invention is to provide a fan which eliminates dealer or end user complaints.
Another object of the invention is to provide a mechanism which improves the quality of produced fan.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide a fan which reduces cycle time of production of fans, thereby increasing productivity.
Still another object of the invention is to provide a fan which reduces the nonfunctioning probability of the lever.
An additional object of the invention is to provide an integrated mechanism for fastening mechanical elements, wherein washers will not come out from a screw.
Yet an additional object of the invention is to provide a composite integrated fastening mechanism.
Summary of the Invention:
According to this invention, there is provided an integrated fastening element adapted to fasten mechanical elements, said element comprises:
a. screw head and screw body extending thereto from said screw head, said screw head having a first diameter and said screw body having a second

diameter, wherein, said second diameter is bigger than said first diameter, said screw body being co-axial with said screw head; and b. plain washer and spring washer adapted to be located between said screw head and said screw body in a co-axial manner, wherein, inner diameter of said washers is smaller than outer diameter of said screw body.
Typically, said screw body is an elongate body with or without threading so as to be drilled or fitted into a hole.
Typically, said plain washer is a disc element.
Typically, said screw washer is a disc element.
According to this invention, there is also provided a process of manufacturing an
integrated fastening element, wherein said process comprises the steps of: i. manufacturing screw with a screw head and a screw body of precise predesigned dimensions;
ii. manufacturing plain washer, and spring washer of precise pre-designed dimensions;
iii. putting said plain washer and said spring washer in a blank diameter of said screw to form an integrated screw; and
iv. thread rolling in said integrated screw in order to squeeze the material in the said integrated screw in order to make the outside diameter of said screw body bigger than the inside diameter of said plain washer and said spring washer such that both the washers extend out from said screw; thereby forming an integrated fastening element, in general.

Brief Description of the Accompanying Drawings:
Figure 1 illustrates a motor wherein a fastening element is used; and
Figure 2 illustrates a fastening element of the prior art.
The invention will now be described in relation to the accompanying drawings, in
which:
Figure 3 illustrates an integrated fastening element of the invention.
Detailed Description of the Accompanying Drawings:
According to this invention, there is provided an integrated fastening element adapted to fasten mechanical elements.
The proposed invention discloses an integrated screw, which is used to connect a lever/ follower to oscillating cam for oscillating the fan.
In fans, oscillations are imparted with the help of a lever or a follower, an oscillating cam, a mounting cap and power is given through either gear mechanism or synchronous motor which runs the total mechanism for the oscillation of the fan. On one side, lever or follower is connected to the mounting cap and on the other side, it is connected to the oscillating cam which oscillates as per the angle designed or defined; the follower follows the path of the same and the fan starts to oscillate. On the oscillating cam side, a lever or follower is connected with an integrated fastening arrangement (100) according to this invention.
In accordance with an embodiment of this invention, there is provided a screw head (22) and a screw body (24) extending thereto from the screw head, said screw

head having a first diameter and said screw body having a second diameter, wherein, said second diameter is bigger than said first diameter. The screw body is an elongate body with or without threading so as to be drilled or fitted into a hole. The screw body is co-axial with the screw head.
In accordance with another embodiment of this invention, there is provided a plain washer (26) and a spring washer (28) adapted to be located between said screw head and said screw body in a co-axial manner. The provisioning of the plain washer and spring washer in this manner relegates the use of separate washer mechanisms which were not failure proof. The washers are essentially discs. The inner diameter (42) of the washers is smaller than the outer diameter (44) of the screw body, as seen in Figure 3 of the accompanying drawings.
In the prior art as shown in Figure 2, the inner diameter (32) of the washers is bigger than the outer diameter (34) of the screw body.
The integrated fastening element is made in a new process in which screw (22, 24), plain washer (26) and spring washer (28) are made of precise dimensions and in the process, plain washer (26) and spring washer (28) is put in the blank diameter of the screw (22, 24) and after that thread rolling will be done in the screw which will squeeze the material in the screw and make the outside diameter (44) bigger than the inside diameter (42) of the plain washer (26) and spring washer (28) and both the washers will extend out from the screw or the integrated fastening element, in general. The assembly operator, who manufactures a product such as a fan using this integrated fastening element, directly takes the integrated part and puts it in the lever mechanism which will improve the quality and reduce the cycle

time in the assembly production. Also, the lever will not come out from the oscillating mechanism and the fan will run continuously, thereby making is less susceptible to failure.
The fastening element, according to this invention, is used to connect a gear mechanism or a synchronous motor to a mounting assembly of a motor. On mounting side, it can be riveted and on the other side, it can be connected to the gear mechanism through a cam by providing a screw, a spring washer, and a plain washer.
While this detailed description has disclosed certain specific embodiments of the present invention for illustrative purposes, various modifications will be apparent to those skilled in the art which do not constitute departures from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the following claims, and it is to be distinctly understood that the foregoing descriptive matter is to be interpreted merely as illustrative of the invention and not as a limitation.
