The present invention provides a single compact and integrated automated machine that obviates the need of manual interface to carry produce from field to market place or storage house.
The present invention relates to an integrated mechanized system that provides
means for lifting, cleaning, sorting, weighing, packing and loading different types
5 of grains after harvesting. The said system automatically lifts, cleans, pack, weigh,
sew bags and load packed bags of different types of grains and enable farmers to
get rid from different traditional time-consuming methods used in grain market.
The present invention provides a single compact and integrated automated machine
that obviates the need of manual interface to carry produce from field to market
10 place or storage house.
Background of invention
In agriculture, postharvest handling is the stage of crop production immediately
following harvest, including, cleaning, sorting and packing. The impurities mixed
with the grains are eliminated and the cleaned grains are sorted before the storage
15 or marketing or further processing of the grains.
The simplest cleaning method, known as winnowing, consists of tossing the grain
into the air and letting the wind carry off the lightest impurities. Although
widespread in farming circles, this cleaning method does not eliminate the heavier
impurities (gravel, foreign grains, earth, etc.). Manual involvement for cleaning the
20 harvested crop may at times cause depletion in quality and losses in inefficient
handling of agricultural produce.
After cleaning the grains are weighed and packed, but this process needs
involvement of manpower and also consumes lot of time.
Reference may be made to a US patent application, US6706989B2, it discloses a
25 method and apparatus for processing seed or seed samples.
3
Reference may also be made to another patent application, KR20180042780A, that
discloses a mechanical grain hopper vibrator, such as grain sorter, rice washer, grain
grinders.
Reference may be made to related other disclosures providing mechanized solution
5 to only either cleaning or sorting of the grains.
Post-harvest handling involves lot of man power for lifting, cleaning, sorting,
weighing, sewing and packing the produce, that is also a time-consuming affair. A
simple, compact, integrated mechanized system is required to obviate the need of
manual involvement, that not only saves time but also saves finances of farmer to a
10 larger extent.
