An Integrated Module For An Internal Combustion Inline Common Rail Twin Cylinder Diesel Engine

Abstract: A integrated module for an internal combustion inline common rail twin cylinder diesel engine comprising an inlet manifold portion and a valve cover portion, said inlet manifold portion has a plenum chamber and cover for said plenum chamber comprises of an upper shell and having separate openings at its intake for supply of fresh air and exhaust gases and twin openings are mountable with corresponding twin ports of cylinder head, said valve cover portion has a passage with control means at its entrance, baffles to separate the oil particles from blow by gases, a second passage to circulate the gases into a charging system, opening for filling the oil to the engine and sealing profile with sealant means on its periphery wherein that the inlet manifold portion and the valve cover portion being composed of thermoplastic material, the valve cover portion comprises of a lower shell, said upper shell and lower shell are joined through joining process. Said upper shell and lower shells are provided with a sealing surfaces. Said sealing surfaces of lower shell and upper shell are joined. Said joining is a resistance welding. Said upper shell and lower shell are manufactured by the process of injection molding.
