An Online Security Verification Model To Validate E Commerce Payment Gateway For Secure Electronic Transaction

Abstract: An Online Security Verification Model has been developed to validate online payment gateway by deducting security threats for online users before they proceed with electronic transactions. Initially, e-customers have to look for four checks in Online Security Verification Model. Firstly, the model starts with the computer check where the users have to verify the security settings to strong safety mode, ensure to update the antivirus, strong passwords with the mix of alphanumeric characters and periodical backup of data. In the brand check, the user needs to validate source location of e-tailer, check brand reputation, verify its own identity and billing address of e-tailer with availability of post purchase customer service. In security check, the security certificate needs to be validated. It is suggested to look for https:// instead of just http://. Mobile passwords for each transaction should be activated and setting up a firewall with usage of Virtual keyboard is highly recommended. Finally, the information check highlights on purchase details, usage of public/private terminals, storage of security pin and policy for post purchase warranty/guarantee. Online transaction security threat is major challenge faced by virtual enterprises as well by the shoppers. This model lays a platform to validate online payment gateway to execute secured e-transactions.
