AN OPTICAL SYSTEM FOR UTILIZATION OF MULTIPLE BEAM INTERACTION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention, in general, relates to an optical system for utilization of multiple beam interaction and In particular, to an automated general purpose optical setup, for recording and analyzing multiple beam interaction on any suitable media.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
It is traditionally known that, multiple beam interaction is extremely important for studying matter radiation interaction. Typically, interaction of beams within a matter produces intense electric field, which in turn produces various effects such as refractive index variation and so on. This type of interaction is applied in practical system, such as volume data storage. In addition, this kind of setup is also applied, to study other effects such as response of materials to various kinds of radiation stimuli. Hence, systems for utilization of multiple beam interaction have been designed by various organizations and individuals, for the purpose.
However, it has been observed over the years that systems for utilization of multiple beam interaction, which are already known, have some vital disadvantages, for example, the systems are not modular and are not scalable. Furthermore, such systems can perform only one kind of motion at a time and are not capable of performing multiple/mixed kind of motion simultaneously. Additionally, the existing systems can do only one kind of task viz plane wave recording, but are not adapted to be modified from hardware and software point of view, to perform different kinds of tasks. That apart, the systems known in the art are expensive as well.
Hence, there was a long felt need to design a simple, inexpensive, automated robust system, which reduces/substantially nullifies the aforesaid drawbacks and other drawbacks in existing systems, as are known to persons skilled in the art.
The present invention meets the aforesaid long felt need.
All through out the specification including the claims, the words "beam", "optical media",
"photovoltaic", "futuristsic", "module", "scaling/descaling", "set up", "interface" are to be
interpreted in the broadest sense of the respective terms and includes all similar items in
the field known by other terms, as may be clear to persons skilled in the art.
Restriction/limitation, if any, referred to in the specification, is solely by way of example
and understanding the present invention.
