Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method (400) and an output regulator (202) for regulating an output power of a DC-DC converter (120) connected between an input source (110) and a load (130). The method comprises determining (404) a power difference value between an output power value of the DC-DC converter and a desired output power value and determining (406) a reference input current value based on at least the power difference value. The method may further comprise comparing (408) the reference input current value with an actual input current value being provided by the input source and generating (410) pulse width modulation (PWM) signals based on the comparison. The PWM signals are provided to the DC-DC converter such that the DC-DC converter regulates its output power in accordance with the desired power output required by the load.
