Abstract: An ergonomic rhomboidity measurement caliper for in-situ measurement of billet diagonals, comprisingone each vertical arm (100) and complex shaped arm (110) attached respectively on respective hooks (105,108) by a spring (130), the vertical and complex shaped arms (100,110) being pivotable by a bush-pin arrangement (140); one each horizontal attachment (101,103) disposed at a first and a second end of the vertical arm (100) to accommodate a first jaw (102); an attachment (111) fixed at 75ºangle slanted arm (110) to accommodate a second jaw (112), a second attachment (113) being further attached to the complex shaped arm (110) at an angle of 110º, the second and first jaw (112,102) each having slated face (118,106) respectively; a handle (114) attached to the second attachment (113) to rotate the slanted arm (110) by a pivot (140); a scale (120) having a slot and a pointer (115) attached to the second attachment (113) to allow the movement of the complex shaped arm (110), the scale (120) being attached to the vertical arm (100) by a screw; and a stopper (104) attached to the handle (114) to serve as the home position of two corners of the complex shaped arm (110), wherein the two corners of billet diagonals to be measured are placed between the slant surfaces (106,118).
