An Underwater Imaging Device
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an underwater imaging device (100) comprising a remotely operated vehicle (200) to manoeuvre underwater and an imaging unit (110) coupled to the ROV (200). The imaging unit (110) includes a housing (10), plurality of light sources (40) and at least one image capturing unit (204). The housing (10) has an interior space filled with clear fluid and formed by at least one wall structure with a transparent front wall (10c). The plurality of light sources (40) are provided on the transparent front wall (10c) to illuminate a vicinity facing the transparent front wall (10c). The image capturing unit (204) enclosed within the housing (10) faces towards the transparent front wall (10c) to capture images of the vicinity facing the transparent front wall. The clear fluid within the housing (10) provides a clear path of vision for capturing images when the ROV (200) is manoeuvred underwater.
