Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for preparing alcohol from olefin. The present invention is characterized in that it comprises: a loop reactor for reducing the production of a component having a high boiling point which is used as a reactor for the hydroformylation of olefin according to the present invention; a catalyst/aldehyde separator and a divided wall column (DWC) for removing a remaining component having a high boiling point which is used as a post processor for separating aldehyde; and a divided wall column (DWC) for removing a remaining component having a high boiling point which is used as a post processor for separating alcohol. According to the apparatus and method for preparing alcohol of the present invention production of a component having a high boiling point can be reduced during alcohol preparation and a remaining component having a high boiling point is effectively removed. Thereby alcohol can be obtained which does not include a component having a high boiling point.
