BACKGROUND
[0002] There are many individuals who are unable to manage many of the routines of daily living due to severe debilitating dyskinesia e.g., shaking of hands, tremors and the like. Individuals with this problem do not have enough stability and control of their hands to allow them to perform simple tasks, such as: holding a glass of water, eating without the embarrassment of bringing a fork to their mouth while dropping the food, holding and reading a newspaper without it shaking uncontrollably, signing one's own name and the like.
[0003] Recently, multiple devices are known the art to help the individuals with severe tremors, the devices may use the principle of conservation of angular momentum through a gyroscope, other such devices may help in reducing the tremors using weights, and can be worn on the wrist of the user that works on the neuromodulation therapy. However, these devices are highly priced, required to be charged frequently e.g., every few hours, the device had to be changed after 3 years, the device furtherhas a risk of burns and shocks, and cannot be worn during various activities like driving, sleeping, and the like.
[0004] Although multiple devices exist today, these mechanisms offer limited performance. Therefore, there is a need in the art to provide a means to provide support to the users from severe tremors by solving the aforementioned problems.

The apparatus 100 may include a frame 102 that can be divided into one or more compartments 104, the frame 102 adapted to be worn by user, the apparatus 100 is in this example can be worn on hand part of the user, however, the present disclosure is not limited to this configuration but may be applied to other configurations. The apparatus 100 further may include one or more receiving elements 110 configured in the one or more compartments 104, one or more weights 108 can be filled in the one or more receiving elements 110, a fastening element 106can be adapted to secure the one or more weights 108 in the one or more receiving elements 110. A wrist band 112 can be coupled to the frame 102.
[0035] In an exemplary embodiment, the frame 102 can be a glove that can be received by a thumb portion, an index finger portion, a middle finger portion, a ring finger portion, a little finger portion, a palm side, and a dorsum side of the hand of the user. Each portions of the finger may include metacarpophalangeal joint (MCP)-the joint at the base of the finger, proximal interphalangeal joint (PIP)-the joint in the middle of the finger and distal interphalangeal joint (DIP)-the joint closest to the fingertip. The one or more compartments 104 can be located at each individual joints of handpart, finger, palm and dorsum of the user, one or more receiving elements110 of equal size can be enclosed within the one or more compartments104 of the glove, the one or more receiving elements 110 can be adapted to receive one or more weights 108, the one or more weights 108 can help in counter balancing the involuntary muscular contraction, for example, tremors occurring in the hand of the user by providing stability and minimizing the tremors.
[0036] In another embodiment, the fastening element 106 can be configured in each of the one or more compartments 104,the fastening element 106can add and remove the extra one or more weight 108 from each individual joints, where the support is not required by the user, thus the apparatus 100 can be modified based on the requirement of the user. The one or more weights 108 can be loaded over the joints of the finger, and hand part of user which can result in the change in mechanical properties of those joints, and can further improve the functional proprioceptive feedback.
[0037] In an exemplary embodiment, the one or more weights108 can be metal bullets, the one or more weights108 can be secured to the glove at preselected locations throughout the breadth and extent of the glove. The one or more weights108 can be located at each individual joins of the finger, palm, dorsum and the like, each of the one or more weights 108 can be secured by using the fastening element 106 to encase the one or more weights 108.In an exemplary embodiment, the fastening element 106 can be a zipper, any suitable fastening element 106 can be used as per the requirement.
[0038] In another embodiment, the glove may be made from a variety of materials, for instance, the glove may be manufactured from lightweight materials such as cotton, flax, jute, nylon, polyester, acrylic, rayon and the like. Furthermore, the glove may be constructed from a variety of designs and shapes, the glove disclosed in the present disclosure may be utilized in hand, wrist, and armsto provide support to the user
[0039] In an implementation, the apparatus 100 can be configured to balance involuntary muscle contraction of user, the apparatus including the frame 102 may include one or more compartments 104 adapted to be worn on hand part of a user, the one or more receiving elements110 can be configured in each of the one or more compartments 104, the one or more receiving elements110 adapted to receive one or more weights 108 in each of the one or more compartments 104, wherein one or more weights 108 in each of the one or more compartments 104 can be received by each individual joint of the hand part, and a fastening element 106 coupled to each of the one or more receiving elements, the fastening element adapted to secure the one or more weights received in each of the one or more receiving elements 110, wherein, the one or more weights secured in each of the one or more receiving elements110 of the one or more compartments 104 adapted to stabilize each individual joint of the hand part to balance the involuntary muscle contraction of user.
[0040] For example, the glove can be received by the hand, palm, wrist and finger portion of the user, the one or more weights 108 provided in the receiving element of the glove can help in counter balancing the tremors occurring in the hand of the user by providing stability and minimizing the tremors, when the user is performing his/her daily activities such as holding a glass of water, or eating food and the like. The apparatus 100 can help in reduction of mild to moderate tremors of hand by providing distal and proximal stability using one or more weights 108.
[0041] Thus, the apparatus 100 can be useful to those who are suffering from hand tremors because of some underlying pathology and are not able to perform their activities of daily living. Both proximal and distal stability can be provided by the apparatus 100, and can be worn by the user during most of the activities. The apparatus 100 can be cost-effective and do not require any electrical support, which can prevent any burns or shocks encountered by the user. The apparatus 100 can further be user-friendly and can improve the reliability and the life-time of the apparatus 100.
[0042] FIG. 2 illustrates an exemplary representation of an apparatus with one or more weight, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0043] Referring to FIG.2, the one or more weight mechanism 200 can be implemented in the apparatus 100, The weight mechanism 200may include many of the same components introduced in FIG.1 above. Those components that are unchanged in this embodiment retain their original element number and are not reintroduced.
[0044] In an embodiment, the frame 102 can be received by thumb portion, index finger portion, middle finger portion, ring finger portion, little finger portion, palm side, and dorsum side. Each portions of the finger may include MCP joint, PIP joint and DIP joint, the MCP are condyloid type synovial joints between the metacarpal bones and proximal phalanges of the hands, the PIP joints of the fingers are extremely important for gripping things with hands, and DIP joint can connect the distal phalanx and middle phalanx, which are the two bones at the tip of the finger.
[0045] In another embodiment, the one or more compartments 104 can be located at each individual joints of finger, palm and the like of the user, one or more receiving elements 110 of equal size can be enclosed within the one or more compartments 104 of the glove, the one or more receiving element 110 can be adapted to receive one or more weights 108, the one or more weights 108 can help in counter balancing the tremors occurring in the hand of the user by providing stability to proximal and distal joins of the user and thereby minimizing the tremors. Thus, the apparatus 100 can relieve the user from involuntary muscle contraction that may result from essential tremor, Parkinson's disease and the like.
