Arrangement For Converting Non Flexible Component Into Click Fit Type Component

Abstract: Disclosed is an arrangement for converting non-flexible component into click-fit type component for fixing the non flexible component in slots of a structural member of a panel. The arrangement includes a plurality of adaptor members. Each adaptor member of the plurality adaptors includes an upper portion having a slot with a slanted profile corresponding to a dovetail of the non flexible member. The upper portion is capable of being removably fixed in the slots of the non-flexible component. The adaptor member further includes a lower portion having a claw shaped member which is capable of removably engaging the slots of the structural member by click fitting.

Component
Field of the invention
The present invention generally relates to mounting of components such as bus bars, partitions and the like inelectrical devices such as circuit breakers, and more particularly, to an arrangement that can be used to convert a non-flexible component into a click fit type component.
Background of the invention
Electrical devices such as circuit breakers includes various components such as busbar supports, partitions and the like, which are required to be mounted ona structural member of a panel. These components are generally non-flexible because of their material properties. Therefore, these components are pasted on the structural member or fitted with the structural member with the help of any other arrangement known in the art, such as, screw and bolt.
However, the conventional methods of securing the busbar supports, partitions and the like to the structural member of the panel have limitations. Pasting and/or tightening the components to the structural member by screw and bolt require time and also the process is not very clean.
Accordingly, there exists a need to provide an arrangement which overcomes the abovementioned drawbacks.
Objects of the invention
An object of the present invention is to provide efficient fixing of non-flexible entities on the structural members of the panel.

Another object of the present invention is to save assembly time of the non flexible entity to the structural member of the panel and give improved aesthetics to the
panel.
Summary of the invention
Accordingly, the present invention provides an arrangement for converting non-flexible component into click-fit type component for fixing the non flexible component in slots of a structural member of a panel. The non flexible component includes a dovetail provided along sides thereof. The arrangement includes a plurality of adaptor members. Each adaptor member of the plurality adaptors includes an upper portion with a slanted profile corresponding to the dovetail of the non flexible member. The upper portion is capable of being removably fixed in the slots of the non-flexible component. The adaptor member further includes a lower portion having a claw shaped member which is capable of removably engaging the slots of the structural member by click fitting.

Detailed description of the invention
The foregoing objects of the present invention are accomplished and the problems and shortcomings associated with the prior art, techniques and approaches are overcome by the present invention as described below in the preferred embodiments.
The present invention provides an arrangement for converting non-flexible component into click-fit type component. Examples of non-flexible components includebus bars, and partitions used in electrical devices such as circuit breaker. The arrangement provides efficient fixing of non-flexible components on structural member of a panel. Further, the arrangement save time of fixing the non flexible component to the structural member of the panel and give improved aesthetics to the panel.
Referring to 1-6, there are shown various components and views of the arrangement (100) for converting non-flexible component into click-fit type component. The non flexible component (10) as shown in figure 1, includes slots (12) provided along both sides thereof. Each slot (12) includes dovetail configured therein. The non flexible component (10) is to be secured to a structural member (20) of a panel (not shown). The structural member (20) as shown in figure 2 includes a plurality of slots (22) configured thereon.
The arrangement (100) includes a plurality of adaptor members. For the purpose of explanation, figure 3 is shownwith one adaptor member (30) of the plurality of

adaptor members. The adaptor member (30) includes an upper portion (32) and a lower portion (34).
The upper portion (32) includes a slot with a slanted profile (32a) corresponding to the dovetail provided in the slot (12) of the non flexible member (10). The upper portion (32) is capable of being removably fixed in the slot (12) of the non-flexible component (10). Specifically, figure 4 shows rear perspective view of the adaptor member (30) with slot with the slanted profile (32a). The slot with the slanted profile (32a) ensures that the adapter member (30) does not get separated/come out from the non-flexible member (10) unless removed manually.
Further, the lower portion (34) includes a claw shaped member (34a), The claw shaped member (34a) is capable of removably engaging the slots (22) of the structural member (20) by click fitting.
In an embodiment, the adaptor (30) is flexible.In another embodiment, the upper portion (32) and the lower portion (34)of the adaptor (30) are manufactured to forma single unit.
The arrangement (100) with plurality of adaptors, for example, two adaptors (30) engages the slots (12) configured along both side of the non-flexible component (10) as shows in figure 5 and 6 to form a single click fittable assembly (50).
While inserting the click-fittable assembly (50) in the structural member (20) as shown in figure 7, the adaptor (30) has to be flexed inside and inserted in the slot (22) on the structural member (20), Once the click-fittable assembly (50) gets inserted in the slots (22), the adaptor (30) regains its original position. Accordingly, the click-fittable assembly (50) cannot be taken out of the slot (22) unless the adaptor (30) is flexed again.

Though the arrangement [100) described above is for non-flexible components
such asbus bars, and partitions used in electrical devices such as circuit breaker.
However, it may be evident to those skilled in the art that the arrangement (100] may be used for fixing the other non-flexible components used in other electrical mechanical devices.
Advantages of the invention
l.The adaptor (30) of the arrangement helps the non-flexible component to be click fitted on the structural member which reduces assembly time of the non-flexible component on the structural member.
2.The arrangement (100) do not use adhesive to fix the non-flexible component to the structural member.
3.The assembly of the non-flexible component with thestructural memberbecomes easy, neat and clean.
The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the present invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The embodiments were chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the present invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the present invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated. It is understood that various omission and substitutions of equivalents are contemplated as circumstance may suggest or render expedient, but such are intended to cover the application or implementation without departing from the spirit or scope of the present invention.

We Claim:
1. An arrangement for converting non-flexible component into click-fit
type component for fixing the non flexible component to a structural member of a
panel, the non flexible component having slots with dovetail/wedge shaped
protrusion provided along sides thereof, the arrangement comprising:
a plurality of adaptor members, each adaptor member of the plurality adaptors having,
an upper portion having slot with a slanted profile corresponding to the dovetail/wedge shaped protrusion of the non flexible member, the upper portion capable of being removably fixed in the slot of the non-flexible component, wherein, the slot with the slanted profile ensures that the adapter member does not get separated/come out from the non-flexible member unless removed manually, and
a lower portionhaving a claw shaped member capable of removably engaging slots of the structural member by click fitting.
2. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the adaptor is flexible.
3. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the upper portion and lower portion of the adaptor member are manufactured to form a single unit.
