Abstract: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ASSISTED YOUTH WELLNESS MODEL FOR PREVENTION OF SUICIDE AMONG COLLEGE GOING STUDENTS A youth wellness model has been proposed for the effective monitoring and prevention of mental health related issues which predispose them for suicidal ideation . This model has been integrated with a mobile application for the better reach of this model; specifically targeting younger generation. This application is AI driven which provides generative AI enabled information with the help of chatbots. Also, the application provides Virtual support groups and different modules protocols and procedures. Predictive Analytics can also be performed on the available databases for early detection of emotional distress and risk management. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, helps in identifying mental health status of a person thus early intervention and personalized care can be ensured. Stigma from the mental health condition and suicide behavior among youth may be addressed . The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, provides generative AI chatbots for information dissemination and helps in raising awareness.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
College going students (20 -25 Year) have been reported to have the higher prevalence of depression than adolescent in a recent metanalysis by (Fernandes MDSV et all 2023) and studied to be higher risk of suicidal thought and ideation among college going students due to their psychosocial issues and development. Depression has been studied to be one of the major causes of Suicide ideation. Suicide is one of the fourth leading cause of death among youth age group of 15-29 year as per the report of World Health Organization (Ladi-Akinyemi T et all 2023). Depression observed to be the significant risk factor among this age group due to family conflict, academic pressure, emotional instability which predispose them for the suicidal ideation. Suicide is not a simple problem rather it’s a complication of preexisting mental, physical, social and emotional disorder in human being. One suicide is only the tip of ice berg which reflects a huge submerge unaddressed and unseen portion of disease. Nevertheless, Suicide has always been addressed a s a mental health problem, it’s a syndrome which is resulting from the group of external and internal behavioral and emotional risk factor which break the wellness of person in whole. Suicide related behavior (SRB) is now a growing concern among college students all around the world. “Youth wellness model” is skill based, multicomponent behavioral model to prevent key Suicidal risk factor among college going students and trainees. One suicide reported at any college or community itself indicates that 20 others may have been attempted suicide at same place (Ladi-Akinyemi T et all 2023). Social stigma associated with Suicide leads to underreporting of cases and reason for suicidal thought and ideation. This Model has developed from evidenced based theories and studies which resulted with positive outcome with reduce life style behavior risk for suicide as Physical activity, unhealthy dietary modification, reduction in stress, emotional regulation, substance use, alcohol addiction etc. This model can be of greater use when it is made accessible through AI driven mobile application. This application will provide a user-friendly interface through which users can interact with generative AI chatbots. Also, this mobile application will host number of internationally recognized modules which are very useful for referring mental health related procedures and protocols.

The concept of “Youth Wellness Model” is derived from The (CDC)’s social-ecological model to prevention of any health risk of disease public health .It’s based on the four tier frame work
societal, community/contextual, social/relational, and individual levels. Youth wellness Model is a multi-component model comprises of Physical, Mental, Social and Spiritual domain of health. This model is based on the sensitization, realization, acceptance and action. The four tier framework are:
1) Societal- College campus suicidal plan and policy through university administration Constitution of Youth wellness team and Nodal officers.
2) Community/contextual- Creation of boss help group (A mentorship Program among seniors and Juniors Establishment of Compressive counselling centres for students in schools /colleges supervised by Students union.
3) Interpretational /Relational – Gate keeper training of college management and faculty , parents , peer.
4) Individual – Life style management, Screening for risk for NCDs (integration between NCD risk and mental health),Stress management workshop of Students etc.

This model considered four key themes that can contribute to overall well-being of human life. the four wellness themes are physical health, Mental health, Social wellness, spiritual wellness. main focus of physical health is on maintaining a healthy body through regular exercises, Dancing class, Class room Yoga Fitness goal, Stair welfare programme, Peer fitness group, Nutrition DASH Diet /Meditation diet. While mental health is concerned primarily with emotional and psychological well-being, physical health is about keeping the body in good condition through exercise, diet, and relaxation. It promotes a way of living that fosters longevity and vitality and acknowledges the interdependence of stress reduction, resilience development, and an optimistic outlook as essential components of mental health.

Vice chancellor of the university will be oriented for the need and concerns of the student’s wellbeing and increasing prevalence’s of depression and suicide among college’s students and benefit of this model will be addressed. Considering the need we request them to established a college campus suicide plan and depute a nodal officer for this exclusively. After obtaining the administrative permission from the respective collages, orientation session with aims and objective of the project will be conducted and rapport building with study participants will be done. Over the period of time Comprehensive Counselling Centres (CCC) will be open in the university to address students concerns which will be supervised by students themselves. Participants will be screened for risk assessment for Screening for life style behaviour risk for suicide ( Physical activity, Substance use, Dietary habits workplace stress, Alcohol use , internal addiction and Psychological and mental health risk for suicide ( Anxiety ,depression ,Interpersonal relationship, among participants after taking written consent from study participants. IPHQ (International physical Health questionnaire) for physical health and DAS21 will be applied to screen the common mental disorder among Participants.
