Artificial Intelligence Based Multi Functional Agricultural Machine

Abstract: In the current scenario, with the advent of new technologies, the application of that technology in agricultural segments had a rapid growth. In this proposal, a new initiative has been stepped forward to fabricate low cost multifunctional vibratory feed equipment primarily applied to sow the seeds for multiple types of crops and also to incorporate other agricultural activities such as ploughing, fertilizing, irrigation, weed protection and harvesting completely controlled by AI based program integrated with the machine arrangement. Here, . a small electric motor is utilized to activate a vibratory feeder. A simple mechanism is actuated the feeder. The design of the feeder is Universal so that, the setup can be replaced suitable to crop size. A PLC control board is integrated with machine arrangement to automate the operation as well as control and trouble shoot the system. Soil quality and suitability of the crop for the soil can be determined by the machine in a dry run with the help of Artificial Intelligence control program integrated into the equipment. The base materials, frame and other links are made of Aluminium and Aluminium composites so that the equipment is light in weight and easily portable with high strength. Suitable attachments in machine setup will enable the equipment can be able to do fertilizing, irrigating, ploughing, weed control functions too. The Intelligent system in the machine can be networked to a mobile application and can have control from any remote location.

Specification

The schematic arrangement of the equipment is shown in figure 1. An electric motor is placed at the bottom of the equipment with a vibratory feed mechanism linkage integrated with it with help of kinematic links. A Conical hopper is provided at the top to facilitate the material in. It is then moved on to a vibratory tray where it segregates the particles of unique size together and then transmits to the belt conveyor. The lesser size seeds are filtered and get accumulated at the bottom while transferring from feeder to conveyor. The same electric motor power is utilized to actuate the belt drive provided. The end of conveyor is provided with flexible rubber sheet to feed the seeds into the soil and also provides the post seed operations like pressing the soil, watering etc. Sensors are provided in the equipment arrangement to control and monitor the ~ speed and vibration limit which gets integrated with PLC. PLC Monitors the every motion and gets feedback to maintain overall control. The entire arrangement is mounted in pairs of wheels for flexible transportation and makes the system portable. ■
AI based controller
The PLC automates the process whereas the Artificial Intelligence based control system improves and monitors the process and suggests the best outcomes. Hence as an initiative, this whole machine is programmed and trained for best possible outcomes for the effective utilization to perform multi functional activity. With help of immediate changeover of setting the same equipment can be used for harvesting, ploughing, weed protection, fertilizing, irrigation and other related agricultural activity. This AI integration further investigates and improves the utilization of the whole equipment.
